Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Part 2

Hear ye! Hear ye! With utmost reverence, I do reveal unto thee the anime of the season once again! Our hero hast persevered against the melancholy brought about by thy fair lady Eris, been wedded to his fanciful elven bride, and even made ends on an abundant abode to protect his ever-growing clan. What adventures shall await our valiant hero in chapters untold? Await with bated breath for another enchanting season to uncover the sagas yet untold!

On a serious note, this season of Mushoku Tensei doesn’t have the same hook that previous ones had. He’s not depressed with erectile dysfunction, he’s not on a journey ... to get back to the central continent, and with the ending of the last plot point, the first 3 episodes of this season feel like something ripped straight out of season 1 pt. 1. However, don’t let that fool you into thinking that this season of Mushoku Tensei is some sort of slouch, I’m willing to bet that this season will be ranked in the 8.5-8.7 range at the end of it all.

What makes me so brazen on that assessment? A couple of things. Firstly, the quality sol stuff from last season is here and it’s arguably more impactful. Unlike last season, where the sol stuff focused primarily on establishing new characters, this season focuses on building complex developments with the characters we already have. This is best seen through the Elinalise and Sylphy connection; more connections with increasingly important characters are to come as the season goes on.

But what if you watch Mushoku Tensei for the action and adventure? You’ve been starving since season 1 as this series has been doing its best Sousou no Frieren impression. Well don’t fear, it’s going to be back in full swing! I won’t spoil anything (the op does enough of that), just know that turning point 3 and the next 5-6 episodes that follow will be absolutely amazing from your guy’s perspective, arguably being the overall peak of the series, so don’t lose faith from just the first 4-5 episodes.

As for the production, the animation is still high quality: the jumpscare in episode 1 and the duel in episode 2 serve as evidence of that. The op and ed are also amazing, although not intertwined with every episode anymore, albeit for good reason, and the background music still pops in that “Mushoku Tensei-esque” way.

Overall, this season of Mushoku Tensei will be something special. There’s truly something here for everyone, the sol fans, the action and adventure fans, and everyone else in between. As long as the animators and production committee stays the course and doesn’t fuck anything up, this will be a season to remember. So with that, I encourage you to hop on this ride before it leaves the station, because trust me, it won’t slow down from here on out.

As we venture into the realm of married life with our protagonist, I ponder the same question: why do I keep watching this? Is it the promise of potential? The hope that somewhere along the line, this anime will finally live up to its lofty ambitions?

The series starts with an interesting bang; the ... MC is a bit of a loser who dies and is reincarnated as a baby with the mind of a middle-aged man. From there, he finds he is a bit OP and learns about the world through his adventures. The first season was not terrible; it had some moments of interest and seemed to have exciting themes and some pervy things. But It was enough to keep me invested. He gets dumped by his first girl after they get it on, and he has become cursed with ED; he begins this season by going to magic school to find a cure for his little friend. Yes, my friends, he spends an entire season focused on trying to rise to the occasion.

Now that this has been resolved, he is enjoying married life with his childhood elf girl. It's not very exciting, and I am not sure where the direction is going,

Honestly, I'm not quite sure. Maybe it's the sunk cost fallacy rearing its ugly head or the lingering belief that something worthwhile is buried beneath the surface. Whatever the reason, here we are, three episodes in, and still searching for that spark of brilliance.

As it stands, Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Part 2 earns a modest rating of 4 in my book. While it may appeal to die-hard fans of the series, newcomers beware—this is a time sink with little to show for it.

So, if you're already invested in the world of Mushoku Tensei, by all means, dive in and see where the journey takes you. But if you're new to the series, it might be wise to wait until the season concludes and the dust settles before jumping on board. After all, there's nothing worse than wasting your time on an anime that fails to deliver the goods.

Well, if this anime were any more basic, it would come with crayons and a coloring book. It's like they took the IQ test and said, "Nah, let's aim lower." This anime appears to target ***** who may prefer straightforward narratives and uncomplicated characters.

Rudi's journey of self-improvement is commendable, yet his lingering perversion presents a stark contrast to the story's overall message. Despite his growth, Rudi essentially remains the same person from his past life, albeit with enhanced confidence and power. It would have been intriguing to explore how societal perceptions of him shift based on his appearance and achievements, highlighting the disparity ... between his personal growth and public perception. However, the narrative falls short in this regard, portraying Rudi as a quasi-deity figure without adequately addressing his moral shortcomings. Mushoku Tensei seems to be aiming to become the next SAO, but it's miles away from reaching its level of excellence.

The whole plotline is a fucking joke. Mushoku Tensei fails to live up to expectations, delivering a mediocre experience overall. The animation quality leaves much to be desired, with choppy movements and shitty visuals detracting from the viewing experience. Character designs appear pale and uninspired, lacking depth and detail. Don't waste your time watching this trash. message me if you're seeking recommendation on some genuine gems within the isekai genre.
