Both have deep storylines and emotions, with both of the main characters deeply involved in the story. Drama and romance genres. Bitter Virgin is more focused on the girl while Hana no Namae, the boy (not that sure).

Both the male characters struggle with darkness in their hearts, and it is the female characters who bring them back with love and determination. Very, very similar in terms of emotion and depth.

I feel that Eden no Hana is similar to The Name of the Flower in many ways. The most profound similarity in my eyes though, has to be the severe depth of emotion it shows. The complex backgrounds to feelings found in Eden no Hana always keeps you on the edge of your seat. Another similarity is the relationship between characters. In Eden no Hana, The two main characters (Midori and Tokio) are said to be brother and sister reunited by Tokio's desire to find his long lost sister. Even though they are said to be related, they can not help but feel their hearts'  read more

Both are similar in a way that the girls fell in love with someone who is older than them. Both have a similar feel of pacing and kinda looks traditional-ish.

In both mangas the protagonists are, for some circumstances, living together and end up falling for each other. Also the male characters are somewhat older than the female ones.

Both quiet romance manga (one is yaoi the other is shoujo) about a loner eccentric, melancholic character falling in love and being brought out of their shell a bit by an unexpected character int heir lives. Also, flowers are a strong symbol in both.

Poor/unlucky high school girls have to move in with grumpy writers. Both are great!

Both of the female protagonists Tohru (Fruba) and Chouko (Hana) are orphans, and by different circumstances, end up living with someone they don't know. Both love interests are moody, although Kei (Hana) is more antisocial than Kyo (Fruba). The characters in both stories carry emotional scars from the past, and both male love interests don't want to taint or drag down the female protagonists with them. Although, Tohru and Chouko are both optimistic and are able and willing to heal the pain of Kyo and Kei. There are also smaller resemblances like both girls are allowed to live in the home in exchange for doing  read more

Both of the male character has a darkness he has in the past and he doesn't want to pull the female lead down with him. He loves the female character, quite possessive of the female lead. There is an age difference both manga. Both of the art in here is also beautiful.

It's my first recomendation, but I couldn't avoid it. Hana no namae makes me remember of Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan so badly. The main story is pretty different, but both have that kind of "dark aura" that wraps around you and is really deep, the characters are very complex and well developed during the story. I can't describe very well with words but both have amazing stories and if you read one and liked it, you must read the other.

Both have a relationship between a high school girl and an older guy. Both male characters are artists (in Hana no Namae he is a writer while in Hakuji he is a painter) who somehow hold a darkness inside them and who are afraid of tainting the pure fermale lead.

For people who like it when there is a bit of drama in a manga (+ both main characters are girls who overcame trauma and fell in love. What's more, their lovers are also alike).

Both are about the relationship of a girl and her older male gaurdian who is an author. The characters in both mangas also have tragic back stories.

Young girl, older male, protective aura, deep and complex regarding some things happening in the past ... SLOW romance. Dark atmposphere and though, pointing at the nice things of life. Both girls have a somehow similar relationship/feelings regarding the males. <3

H reminds me a lot of Hana no Namae, but I like H much more than Hana no Namae. They both are in the same genres: drama, romance, slice of life . The main guy in both manga has a very similar personalilty; they both have problem open up to other people, and they both have issues from their past which they need to overcome in order for them to move on...I personally find the ending of H is way more satisfying than Hana no Namae.

Both feature a girl who lost her family due to an accident, and from then on their lives change dramatically. Hana no Namae seems to be deeper, and has a much heavier atmosphere than Watashitachi no Tamura-kun.

Both stories are about older guys taking care of someone who is orphaned and eventually develop romantic feelings for each other. Hana no Namae has more dark and serious themes and I would classify it as semi-"josei" compared to Hana to Akuma which targets shoujo.

Both are about an antisocial Writer who ends up meeting a little girl who is somehow traumatized with some parents issue and she is always expressionless and doesn't smile. Eventually she starts taking care of his garden and spends all her time with him, making him become a more considerate guy. Also the guy has a best friend which is his editor, and in both mangas, the writer starts writing a romance novel based on the little girl.

Both are about a younger girl and a an older guy whom start developing feelings for each other. Both girls have an different personality. Although Switch is about a student x teacher relationship and Hana no Namae is deeper.
