I'm gonna write it here in case you don't read the forums.
Yes, the K-On! Movie is pretty much the continuation of that OVA and at the same time it's kind of like a bigger/more explained version of the 'ending' of the 2nd season (as in the final days of the girls).
Watch it. It's wonderful :D
