Both are similar in a way that the girls fell in love with someone who is older than them. Both have a similar feel of pacing and kinda looks traditional-ish.
Both manga give off the same feeling of sorrow, trauma, and loss, as well as a heroine falling for an older guy that she lives with. Although Hana no Namae is set in a more modern time, both manga give off a feeling of historic Japan.
