Manga: Konjiki no Word Master: Yuusha Yonin ni Makikomareta Unique Cheat
The plot in both stories are extremely similar, with the main protagonists being unwillingly summoned to another world to fulfill their roles as 'heroes'. Yes, in inverted commas. Additionally, both stories are held in a setting that is very much alike that of an RPG (Role-playing Game). Both are also adaptations of their respective light novels.

Manga: Sword Art Online
Both MC were trapped in a VRMMORPG World (In Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari case its similar) where they have to fight to survive/protect something. Both MC is trying to find a way to escape from the world. In the case of SAO Kirito start off being OP early while the MC in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari get stronger bit by bit. There will be sword fight scenes within both series, medieval-ish setting. However SAO does not have any magic settings in it.

Manga: Nidome no Yuusha wa Fukushuu no Michi wo Warai Ayumu
Both have a male protagonist that goes to another world and want revenge - Shield - Spear guy( good thing I guess) - Racoon girl + Rabbit girl + Torture methods + Sword power hero Pretty similar to tate no yuusha, I really recommend you to read the manga ou the light novel Nidome is about a guy that wants revenge after being betrayed and so he swears that if he ever get another chance to get it he will make sure to make everyone have a Slow and Painfull death.

Both male protagonists end up in a new world without exactly knowing how. Although nothing has stated, it does have a certain MMORPG feel to the setting. Both start with the protagonist(s) pretty much bottom rung and having to work their way up.

Both hero 'reincarnate' to a new world, and the unwanted hero from the person that summon them. Living independently hated by the kingdom. <br/><br/>While Tate no Yuusha is more dark/depressing,Tsuki ga Michibiku is more relaxing but at the same time have some bloody event happened as well. Because it's always the good hero suffers because of some princess. However our hero overcomes objectives and proves to be omnipotent with revenge intent. If you want to see princess suffer, these are the recommendations.

Manga: Kuro no Maou
Both of manga show the grim reality of how world works and how much sacrifices needed to become the greatest of you. Both of the story indeed about vengeance but instead showing unnecessary vengeance, their path of heroic story was justifiable in fact they're deserve more recognizing from other fantasy tropes that filled nothing but nonsense. Trust me, if you're like me who looking the proper fantasy with proper path of world then both of them are your strong suit

As a twist of fate in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari and Yakushoku Distpiari. The two protagonist are given skills that would lead them down the path of despair. Hence effecting their personality, reputation, and even perception of life for the worst. Though dealt with a bad hand. Both of our perceived as villain characters, would have to makes the best of what they got to achieve their goal as supposedly hero.

Manga: Zero no Tsukaima
In both series the MC were summoned into another world. Both are Medieval-ish with Magic settings. Saito is like a slave for Louise in Zero No Tsukaima while the MC in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari is the opposite. (Master). In the case of Saito he was summoned into Louise's world to protect her while Naofumi were summoned to protect another world.

Manga: Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami
Both are set in a fantasy world. "Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari" is a slightly more sinister manga, with the MC being falsely accused of rape and everyone turning against him cause a barbaric and distrusting streak in his behaviour. "Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami" is about a girl getting reborn into an Otome Game as the villianess and avoids her fate and uses her old world knowledge to better the land her father hands to her.

Manga: RealPG
Just like SAO and some other series, mangas and novels, this 2 are about virtual reality online role playing, the lives of the protagonist in them and the dangers they have to face. The only difference is, Tate no Yuusha does not only show a more promising plot, until now, it has also been the most fun to read. It wouldn't amaze me to see this manga animated next year, and gaining the same amount of popularity as SAO.

Manga: Akame ga Kill!
Both mangas look like cliche fantasy stories at the first glance and then unexpectedly turns out to be unique masterpieces. Akame ga kiru is about the boy with noble intentions searching for adventure and instead finding cruelty and corruption of the empire, while Tate no yuusha is about a modern guy thrown into fantasy adventure, but getting rejected by it from the very start, and struggling to survive.

Both MCs are thrown away at the start due to a miscomprehension of their strength. Although Tate no Yuusha is very mild in comparison, the MC for "Hazurewaku..." does what needs to be done and will kill anyone who gets in his way to revenge.

Manga: Ookami to Koushinryou
These two quite similiar to each other, like how the MC really resemblances each other Horo (Spice and Wolf) with Rapthalia (Tate no Yuusha). These two manga also about an adventures though in Spice and wolf is more about commerce and in Tate no Yuusha is more about action. But, somehow the atmosphere is quite the same we can feel how the MC feels about their partner and furthermore these series is also enjoyable to watch. If you like adventure and loveable MC you should try this one.
