Both are high school romances where the main protagonist is stuck in a love triangle between one guy who she loves but can't quite have and another guy who she doesn't notice until he confesses, and both love interests are so damn likable that you can't help but root for both of them. If you seek the guilty pleasure of shoujo rom-com cliches, Hirunaka no Ryuusei and Ao Haru Ride are chock-full of adorable moments that will make your heart squeal.

Similar art and in both manga the main girl falls in love with a man older than them.

Both series are known for their slice of life elements and slow pace in storytelling. Despite this, they also have a colorful cast of characters and romance that develops subtly over the course of the story. Both series also adapts relationships of different nature that are explored. And with these relationships, we can see a good amount of characterization focused on the main protagonists. Recommended for fans of lighthearted drama.

These manga share some similarities: - The typical love triangle where the heroine is in love with the "1st guy" and later meets "2nd guy" (aka underdog) which is her classmate. - The hero is dark haired and is someone close to her (neighbour/teacher) and the underdog has blonde hair and has a tendency to blush a lot around the heroine. - Both leading boys are very likeable to the point you just want them to end in a happy threesome. - The main reason why these two manga are so alike is because near the end some situations between the characters are very similar. Personally (unlike the  read more

Well they got a crossover, what more? The female protagonists always have dazed eyes and don't show emotion often. The artstyles are clear and very appealing. Highly recommend for those want to enjoy romance

Both are considered classic shoujo with love triangles and relationships. Throughout both series, the main female protagonist learns what it's like to develop a relationship with others. Through trial and error, they learn about the essence of love. There is growth in both series as the main female protagonist develops and becomes more confident in herself and around others. I recommend both series for anyone interested for a bite of innocent shoujo.

Age gap romance manga between a high school girl/early 20's man who have similar personalities. The girls are quiet, thoughtful, and determined while the guys are kind, yet personally struggle to maintain a "proper" distance between himself the girl.

Both heroines are in love with their teachers, but Kiss Yori mo Hayaku is a lighter read, and it starts with the student and teacher already together.

Both series are written by the same author, Yamamori Mika. As such, expect similarity with the style of their storytelling and artwork. The main female protagonist of both series has to move into a new environment and adapts with their lifestyle. Throughout the series, they build connections with others and love blooms between certain characters. Recommended for fans interested in lighthearted shoujo.

The protagonist is clueless in love, personality is same, they have love rivals, love triangle, both have a deep, interesting plot.

Sweet mangas. Similar in matter of main characters. In both, the main girl isnt shy and is open about her feelings. The main guys are quiet and blush when they touch a girl, but the main girl is able to get near them.

-The Plot Chun chun and Dai-chan has a very similar resemblance to the Future Naho and Suwa; -The Plot that Naho was with Kakeru would be if the Sensei and Chun chun stay together -The Secondary couple as Yuyuka-chan and Togyuu represent the Azu and Hagita; -Are also a yaoi couple would be the Dai-chan and the Sensei and the Suwa and Kakeru

Two guys after one girl (for the most part)! Both guys in both stories have contrasting personalities - good foils of each other! Also, there was a small collaboration between the two briefly. Both of these manga kind of have the same feel to them. Both stories bring the same kind of tugging at your heart to make you feel like the female lead herself and what her struggles are within the story and in her love(s?). And both have easy on the eyes art. Pretty boys and pretty girls.

They' re both shoujo manga with pretty similar charactors, art and plot. About high school girls in love with an adult.

The feel of the stories and the art are pretty similar. both are very enjoyable

Both of these mangas involve love triangles where it would make you swoon for all of the main guy characters, giving you heartaches because you just find it incredibly difficult to choose who is better or who should end up with the main female protagonist of the story. Both of these story lines are also very interestingly fluffy and cute and I HIGHLY recommend it for those who are into these types of story.

Both involve high school girls falling for their teacher who they don't know is their teacher.

Both are about a forbidden relationship between a high school girl and an adult with nice artwork.

If you were on Team Sensei for Daytime Shooting Star (Hirunaka), you'll definitely enjoy Coffee & Vanilla if you don't mind the vanilla smut. Coffee & Vanilla is a romance between an inexperienced college student and a young-looking, hot business man. Daytime Shooting Star does explore a romance between a high school student and teacher. The male leads are also very sexy and look very similar to each other.

The art styles are both really different and gorgeous. The characters are lovable. The writing is clever and the plot isn't cheesy.

The male protagonists from both manga, Anzu and Shishio, remind me of each other; their personalities are really similar (and it seems they both like to wear those cute glasses!). Moreover, both manga exhibit a budding romance between an adult and a high school girl.
reportRecommended by shishiosm
Two reasonably complex portrayals of high school girls who pursue a not-entirely-unrequited relationship with a young teacher. Both are solid shoujo romances with a bit of comic relief.
reportRecommended by Jerakor
Both are about a high school girl who moves to a big city and has to adjust to a new life/school/friends. During this process she falls in love with her teacher. And of course it becomes a triangle when the second guy comes around.... Sweet and short! Better ending than Hirunaka no Ryuusei....

Both have a love triangle consuming of socially awkward kids

Both MC's moving from the countryside to the exciting new start of their high school careers in Tokyo. Both stay with a relative. Both heroines are sincere and make friends with the first person they meet who might end up being more than that. Though this one can be more drama-filled and emotional, both give off a similar setting.
reportRecommended by littlegirly
Both stories tell how the relationship between the main couple gradually evolves. The love story between the protagonist and the second male choice is more interesting and well structured than the love story between the protagonist and the first male choice. If you like stories centered on love triangles this is your tea.

The forbidden teacher-student relationship everyone loves. Rest assured that in S-S to A-C, there's no any love triangle. Yay!

The title says it all.

Yamamori Mika admitted in an interview the influence Ikuemi Ryou had on her work, and you can definitely see how I Love Her influenced HnR. The plot of "recently transfered student meets young and hip teacher" is just the same, and the whole atmosphere feels very similar, dealing with the problems both MCs have to handle with their feelings.
reportRecommended by KyunVampireGirl
Has a very similar feel with a forbidden relationship between an adult male and a high school girl. Both female protagonist are very strong and do lots of learning about themselves and relationships throughout the series.

Both mangas exhibit some similarities, as the two main characters are both ugly ducklings who, with a little bit of makeup, can turn into a swan. With the makeup on, she is able to attract an older guy and is able to form a relationship with him (in Hirunaka, it is ambiguous whether or not they had one in the first place). There is also another male that's is in love with her, but due to her "dating" the other guy, it is hard for that guy to get her. Along the way, something causes their relationship to crumble, due to the actions of one.  read more

They both have very similar art and atmosphere and they both feature a girl who has feelings for his teacher and a guy who falls in love with her.

- Both females are from the countryside, personality-wise they're different.

Similar premise, country girl moving to the city where she finds some romance.

There's a oneshot in Hirunaka no Ryuusei called "A Love Story in Moist Rainy Days", it can be found separately by googling it. And there's a oneshot included in Gestalt called "See Through", it can also be found separately by googling. Now that's outta the way, both of these oneshots give off the same feeling and atmosphere, their setup is similar as well, based on a rainy day. Both are cute reads, while the difference being one is shoujo and the other is BL. So don't read if one isn't your preference.

Both of the main females are countryside chicks

Both are centered around the main girl that falls in love with her teacher and she is trapped in a love triangle. While HnR is softer and comedic, Dramatic Irony takes the story a bit more serious, with many sad scenes. The art-style is beautiful in both manga. Shishio is similar with Natsuo, but Chihiro's personality is parallel with Mamura's.

Both have: * Similar arts * Are about high school students * The main character falls for a boy who saved her after fainted * The guys around the main character feels attracted to her for her kindness and personality being different from other loud high school girls that mostly chase handsome guys. Differences: * Hirunaka the girl falls for a young teacher but her classmate starts to develop feelings for her because of her kindness towards him She gets her feelings confused * Tsubasa to Hotaru... here Tsubasa (main character) while helping her injured friend in club activities gets to know the kind basketball players and develops special feelings for  read more

Looking for a classic shoujo? The answer is here. Hirunaka no Ryuusei and Kimi ni Todoke are easily candidates for readers who are looking for a charming romance series. In fact, both series takes place in a school life environment where drama and romance ensures. The main male protagonist from both series gets acquainted with the main girl where relationship becomes a dynamic focus as part of the story. There is focus also involving other characters that all get connected in various ways to flesh out the main themes of both series.

Both the girls in the manga come from the country side and moves into Tokyo. Basically has same plot of moving to Tokyo then falling in love.

Both are about a relationship between a student and a young teacher. Both male characters are rather similar: a little weird, friendly and popular with the students and somewhat childish. In both mangas the relationship starts off with the teacher being concerned and friendly with the fermale lead and trying to help her integrating in the class and making friends. Both of the main characters fall for the teacher and confess first. Hirunaka no Ryuusei is a lot longer and more developed tough.
reportRecommended by KimikoKosh
Same cheerful female lead, same almost perfect two male leads, same never ending love triangle. You can feel that after a while both of them become very unpredictable, if you are satisfied with the way one of them ends, then you will surely like the other one, too.

Teacher - student relationship in both Kinkyori Renai and Hirunaka no Ryuusei. Plus, the sensei from Hirunaka no Ryuusei is quite similar to the sensei from Kinkyori Renai! Both are adorable and heart-warming stories :)

An expressionless but charming girl befriends or, in BP, teases a guy who isn't good with girls. Eventually, the guy warms up to the girl. They are both really cute :)

Girls falling in love with an unknown guy who turns out to be their teacher with the good looks and others going 'kyah' over him. Dealing with the forbidden teacher x student relationship. Both stories contain love triangle, teacher x girl x guy friend, while HnR is more serious and complex.

Hirunaka no Ryuusei and Yasashii Sekai no Tsukurikata combines elements of drama, school life, and romance with its storytelling. Both series heavily focuses on character relationships that includes older characters with younger ones (ex. student/teacher relationships). There is an a decent amount of characterization that is forged by the experiences of youth. Both series has obvious romance themes that translates into realism and close connections between characters.
