Honestly, it’s shockingly similar. While Jujutsu Kaisen is a darker series and Bleach the lighter one, it’s clear that Gege Akutami was influenced heavily by Bleach. 
The relationship to death as a concept is very much pulled from Bleach, as well.
Incredible fights in both.
One of the larger differences is simply that Tite Kubo is a much better character designer and artist. But, Jujutsu Kaisen does well enough.
Definitely suggest Bleach, though, if you haven’t already read it. Some amazing fights and just a fun time overall. It’s not as long as its chapter amount, simply due to a lot of panels just being for fights. A quick read for such a long series.

They both have a similar enemy, with curses and spirits which are ultimately caused by mankind. Groups are formed to combat these enemies, with many types of combatants and different combat styles and abilities.

Akutami is a Kubo fan since middle school, as she admitted in one of the interviews. Her style, especially character design, is heavily influenced by the techniques of Kubo. If you are a Bleach fan, there is a lot of fun in reading JJKS, since there are just so many close resemblances of Bleach. In fact, long-time JUMP readers will definitely feel nostalgic while reading JJKS. Akutami is paying homage to many JUMP classics, as she also admitted in the interviews.

Jujutsu Kaisen was inspired by Bleach so you'll see a lot of similarities like curses and hollows, and jujutsu sorcerers and Shinigami.Both have amazing plot and power systems and the female characters are well written

This will contain slight spoilers for both series and a major spoiler warning later on.

The manga starts with Yuji having to awaken powers because of a life and death situation by eating Sukuna's finger. Similar to him Ichigo had to awaken his Shinigami powers because of a life and death situation where Rukia transferred her powers to him.

Afterwards we meet Gojo Satoru aka "the sensei" who is very similar character wise to Urahara Kisuke. They're both seen as very powerful entities in their worlds and are hated by many people.

Yuji was first meant to be executed but he got away with it for a short time given so that he can collect all the fingers of Sukuna which are indestructible. People didn't want to trust Yuji at first since he had Sukuna inside of him which is why he received a lot of hate from the sorcerer society and was even hunted down for it later in the manga. As a parallel to that, Ichigo was seen as an enemy by the Shinigami during the Soul Society arc and was almost killed multiple times while trying to save Rukia from getting executed.

While Yuji is able to "transform" by letting Sukuna the King of Curses take over his body, Ichigo can transform into a hollow and also communicate with Zangetsu who lives inside of his Zanpakuto and lends him power.

Spoilers for Shibuya Arc (JJK) and TYBW Arc (Bleach):

In the Shibuya Arc we find out that Kenjaku had transplanted his brain into Kaori Itadori's (Yuji's Mom) body which is why Choso ends up calling Yuji "brother". Yuji was revealed to be related to Kenjaku which also explains his supernatural physical abilities in the first few chapters. This is a big parallel to the plot twist with Ichigo's mother not being a human but a quincy and him being related to Yhwach because of that. read more

There is a lot of fighting in both stories. In Bleach every shinigami has his/her typical zanpaktou technique, the same goes for Claymore (but with swords). In both stories the characters fighting against some kind of evil creature (in Bleach: hollow; in Claymore: youma). The main characters (Ichigo (Bleach) and Clare (Claymore)) are similar in that they want to became stronger for some reason (in Bleach Ichigo wants to become stronger to protect his friends; in Claymore Clare wants to become stronger for the sake of her revenge).

These two manga's just got a lot in common on a lot of points. Both are based on sword fighting, and in both manga's there are two sides fighting eachother. The warriors are leaded by an organization and get numbers which stand for their strenght. If you liked Bleach, Claymore is a MUST read.

They're both shonens with characters who fight a lot with monsters who only be seen or found by these particular characters, both have fighting with swords although bleach's fights drag on forever and are very repetitive while claymore's are interesting, and full of good action and actually END, not to mention the art is better, read bleach before claymore :)

Fighting against ghost and more specifically sword fighting is the theme that these manga have in common. They both Center around people who's mission it is to kill 'wandering ghost' (or something like that) to send them to the afterlife. The battles are mainly sword battles. If you like action stories with a good story behind them, then you should give both of these manga a try.

Both are about an organization (soul society/the organization) that dispatches its warriors (shinigami/claymores) to eleminate a certain type of monsters that used to be hunman (hollows/yoma) using special types of swords (zanpakuto/claymore) where each warrior has a unique style of swordmanship. The main protagonist in each manga has forsaken part of their normal humanoid form to gain power to (protect/avenge) those important to them. The main antagonists used to belong to the side of the protagonists.

The army formed by the people with the strongest magic in Black Clover are organized similarly as the shinigamis in soul society (different captains and their shinigamis, also things about royal families and stuff)
And, finally, both are battle shounen manga structured similarly, so if you like one probably will like the other.

Yuki Tabata said that Bleach had a huge influence on him. Of all the shounen manga that Black Clover borrows from, Bleach is definitely the most prominent.

On a side note: I've never understood the "Naruto ripoff" claims that BC gets. Any similarities between them are superficial tropes applied across the shounen demographic. The biggest influences are very obvious and BC doesn't try to hide them; Bleach, Berserk, and Yu Yu Hakusho.

The mangaka of Black Clover cited Bleach as one of his major inspirations, and it's easy to see why, both have squadrons of super powered people led by a group of extremely powerful captains who fight to protect the people and have protagonists who mostly use a dark power from an evil race and a sword to fight, to the point you can even see influence on the manga's art style.

The author of Black Clover said in interviews that the creator of Bleach was one of his greatest inspirations and we can confirm this by the similarities between both series.
There are various similarities regarding some specific characters and the world building, also even in the plot on a minor scale, so there is good chance of enjoy the other series if you like one of them.

These are both fairly similar series. They're both high-action shonen with a sword-wielding MC, but I feel like Bleach does it better. Ichigo is a more compelling MC than Black Clover and the cast of Bleach is more interesting.

They both have the same kind of nice, unique art, also the "bad guys" in Psyren resemble the bad guys in Bleach. 
Both are also Shonen Jump mangas with a lot of action and characters that travel between worlds fighting bad guys.

Zombie Powder. addpermalink

Zombie Powder was Tite Kubo's first manga serial, which he started working on in high school. It was cancelled after only a year, but reading it, you have to wonder why. All of the incredibly stylish art and character design that make BLEACH so great are also in great supply in Zombie Powder. It's got fantastic battles, a supremely cool cast of characters, and is all in all something that every BLEACH fan should read.
And if you've somehow managed to read Zombie Powder without first hearing of BLEACH, do by all means start on the latter! xD BLEACH's length almost makes up for how abruptly ZP was cut short. read more

The most popular of Tite Kubo's two manga creations (Zombie Powder being the first) but in reading his previous manga, you can clearly see how he perfected his incredible art style, as well as awesome character design for Bleach.  I actually started reading Bleach first and read ZP afterwards, and you can clearly see that there are similarities between the two manga, however, some might not be as apparent as others.  Both mangas have amazingly detailed battle scenes, the super-cool characters (that are vital for a good manga) and the superb plot line that ties the whole thing together. First published in 2001 and still going strong - the length of this manga makes up for any disappointment at the abruptness of Zombie Powder's end.   read more

Badass fights and some great sense of humour, this is what turned bleach is one of the most popular manga. But wait it is not the only manga that has these features. Meet zombie powder. Another story with characters with unique powers thqt embark on a journey that seems impossible to accomplish. Some of the most epic battles you will ever see await you! Is that it? No! Apart from that it has the exact same humour that made bleach so enjoyable for me. So,if you liked the humour in one of these manga, than be sure to check the other one out as well!

King of Hell has some similarities from Bleach for one that Majeh role in the manhwa is similar to a shinigami's where he has to ferry dead souls to the other side. Instead of Majeh fighting against hollows, most of his enemy's in the manhwa are comprised of demons that have escape to the living world.

Many will say that Kingdom Hearts is a Bleach ripoff and if so, you are all right on the mark as Bleach was released in 01 and Kingdom hearts was released in 02. The concept is similar since the plot revolves around a young boy who gains a supernatural blade capable of defeating countless dark entities along his way coming from an unknown multidimensional territory. As the story goes further, it becomes one to the cast rescuing a female captured by a powerful force whose male representative serves as an obstruction to it.

Bleach and Tokyo Ghoul share similar concepts as well as visual representations in the narrative, they are both known as being of the highest class shonen series, the world and the characters imagery is influenced by gothic thematics, there is deep worldbuilding, with a lot of variety of characters and storylines, the drama blends greatly into the plot and the escalation of events, there are many amazing fights and uplifting moments, as well as really good musicals that accompany the whole storyline, they are overall magnificient gothic inspired narratives of the highest class.

Well...Kekkaishi isnt about shinigami and swordfighting but the manga has the same feel to it...a boy in black Bleach-like clothing fights against weird monsters...(like the main protagonist in Bleach)...he gets stronger and stronger, tries to defend THE GIRL who also happens to be very similar to the main female character in Bleach. 
There is a secret society (very soul societys like)...and there is the evil group...
Sooo...all in all...very similar yet different.

P.s. Kekkaishi is in my opinion the tame version of Bleach.

Both are long series that feature a lot of fighting scenes where each character has their own special attacks. Also both main characters keep improving their weapons/powers with new more and more powerful attack moves. Both also involve the main character facing off against more or less supernatural beings, although in InuYasha it's often youkai (demons) and in Bleach humans with inhuman powers. Also it seems like no matter how brutally you beat up our male leads Ichigo (Bleach) and Inuyasha (InuYasha) neither seems willing to die anytime soon.

These two stories are almost identical. When i started reading BLAST I felt like I was reading bleach all over again. Everybody knows about Bleach, and even thought BLAST is VERY similar, I think it needs more attention. Think of it as a Korean version of Bleach, but BLAST is much shorter!

The God of High School addpermalink

Both these series are based heavily in their fight scenes, and they make the fight scenes look GOOD.
They have their comedic moments and tragic moments. And the colours in the god of high school are very vivid, making each panel amazing pieces of art. 
It is similar to bleach in the way that despite it's huge cast, all the characters are fleshed out and well developped. 
I highly recommend The God Of High School as well as giving bleach, the legendary member of the big 3 from the past a try, I swear it isn't just hype.

A boy is able to see spirits because of a traumatic event that resulted in the death of someone they were close to when he was a child. As a high school student, he's a problem child, but one day, a girl suddenly appears in his room to kill a spirit. In the way to kill the spirit, something happens which causes the girl to awaken his hidden powers to be able to kill spirits.

Differences: Bleach is about ghosts and grim reapers, Doll's Folklore is about monsters born from emotion and people who just have special powers.

If you love mindless hype then you'll enjoy both of these series. They have similar artstyles (at least after Bleach's art changes) with beautiful characters and empty, action focused panels. Ichigo and Jin-woo also have similar backgrounds with (a) younger sister(s) and a sick/dead mother. The series are similarly flawed, so if you enjoyed one series you'll likely enjoy the other.

Both are shounen battle series that employ large casts of characters (Gotei 13 and Yamada Asaemon clan) that are all unique and distinct from one another.
Jigokuraku feels like a more refined version of Bleach's Soul Society arc. Both series have great female characters. Jigokuraku makes a lot of surface level references to Bleach. Both have simple, chad MCs.
In both series, battles are fought with swords, tools, and power systems. I liked how Bleach has a contrast with life and death, and Jigokuraku has a contrast with Yin and Yang.

While Bleach is a Shonen and Black Bird is a Shoujo, they both have non-human beings who fight with swords in black robes, along with spirits and such. The main character of Bleach, Ichigo, can see spirits. Black Bird's main character, Misao, begins to see and attract spirits when she turns 16. Both have instances of memory replacement/memory blocking from the spirits (or demons). Both have non-human people with animal features or powers. (The demons and the Arrancars.) Both have a character who has too much power and seal it behind something (Kenpachi with his eyepatch and Zenki with his tattoos.) Both have a character who is stoic but loves his wife. (Byakuya and Sagami). The romance isn't for everyone and it gets kinda spicy at times, but if you like Bleach and Shoujo, check it out. read more

Black torch and Bleach's main characters both have a similar attitude in their way of thinking and that they each have a special ability.
The structure of both are very similar in the first few chapters and engages the reader through the events. Both manga involve a main character who is ostracized for something that they cannot control yt power on through that as it helps them later on. If you enjoy supernatural, shounen or amazing artwork I strongly recommend giving it a try!

As much as the manga tries to focus on the protagonist, the secondary characters still gain a lot of prominence as the story progresses, it's who you think will be the villain ends up becoming "friend" of the protagonist
both works are very well done, with "tests" of the characters' powers to become stronger or even come together to face the villains of each arc.

What if Ichigo didn't get involved in any supernatural events and continues his life as a normal high school student? There we have Yankee-kun to Megane-chan! Shinagawa really reminds me of Ichigo, not just because both are delinquents, but their character design & personalities are also quite similar. They also have friends with unique personalities that will make you love both series more. If you liked the high school side in Bleach, you might like Yankee-kun to Megane-chan as well!

There are some things that the Bleach fans might find rejecting at first sight about GP. GP is drawn in a style a bit like shojo, although it's shonen. Also, it's a bit weak at first. But when you get into it, it's a really good shonen manga. In the third and final volume everything is put together and you see the whole picture (pun, hehe) and that's when the manga reaches it's highest level.

If you like bleach you will like this. Bleach is heavily inspired by Samurai deeper kyo. Sometimes it almost feels like bleach is copying Samurai Deeper Kyo. Alot of characters with swords and powers fighting with flashy techniques etc.

But there is a big diffrence. Samurai Deeper kyo has more of a story and its more mature. And the main character is not the good guy but rather the bad guy. He dont spare peopoles life, he kills them and smile.

Starts out with the hero gaining a super power to help fight off an infestation of monsters from "The Shadow World"/"Hueco Mundo" 

Both recruit an assortment of other super power guys from their close friends at high school

Both have about a 5-10 man group of heroes fighting a 5-10 group of bad guys in a series of battles

Bleach is higher quality, but monochrome doesn't completely change its storyline every couple seasons.

Bleach and XBlade are both stories that involve extraordinary battles, characters, and swords too. Both of the protaganists weild swords of great power and have similar qualities such as transforming into supernatural beings. Although XBlade's chapters are onwards of 50+ pages, a lot of fun will be had reading either series.

Both protagonists also have groups that develop over time and both their groups began with a male and female protagonist. They're also both very action oriented however Berserk is much darker.

Apart from the art style, which I find quite similar, these manga also start almost in the same manner: a rather normal guy (Ichigo/Arty) suddenly stumbles across a strange, and due to her looks apparently harmless girl (Rukia/Tista) while she's doing her dangerous job: respectively a soul reaper & a murderer. After that, the two become ineluctably linked.
While Bleach is an extremely long supernatural shounen manga, Tista is more mature, much shorter, and mainly focused on gunfights and psychological drama.

Both samurai sword tales but set for different audiences. Bleach features more colorful characters, more humor, and supernatural powers to add to the sword figting. Vagabond has a more adult storyline, richer character development, and much more detailed artwork. If you like Bleach but find it to be a little young for you, Vagabond is definitely where you should go.

Note that Vagabond is a monthly manga, though. So the storyline may move slower than the weekly chapters for Bleach.

Each of them has unique zanpakuto/cloth that give them special abilities and strongest of them have incredibly powerful bankai like attacks that can destroy weakest opponents in a blink of an eye. Harsh battles and amazing art awaits you.

Samurai theme. Main character dressed as shinigami and acts like Kurosaki Isshin in a way. Special weapons with unique powers, some of them better than others. One of the villains are just screams Bleach for me. And in both MC doesn't give a damn about sneaking and just bursting through the front door.

Bleach and Kuroko no Basuke have a lot of similarities, even thought they pretty different in concept. Both of them have some sort of supernatural elements, every character have his own uniqe ability and it all filled with similar type of humor. Some characters personalities and even their design sometimes looks really alike. Both features bishonens, so if you read it solely for pretty boys, you won't be disapointed.

Bleach and Soul Cathcher(S), both are about guys who can see things, that other people can't and both aren't really happy about that. Art sometimes looks almost identical, except maybe hair. In Bleach it looks a little more windy, while in Soul Catcher(S) it looks more like a mosaic. Both trying to be really epic, in terms of atmosphere of the "battle".

Both have extremely similar art styles and are urban fantasy series with humorous moments and epic fight scenes, though Noblesse is a Korean Webtoon, so it is in a long, scrolling format and in color, while Bleach is a Japanese manga, so it's black and white and in page format.

If in Bleach you replace spirits, shinigami and hollows with vampires, werewolves and experimentally enhanced humans, you essentially get something like Noblesse, and visa versa. While both are different in many ways, including the elements of science-fiction in Noblesse, and the focus on a (more-or-less) human protagonist in Bleach, fans of both series will recognize things they love in the other. read more

In some way, Oresama Teacher and the first volumes of Bleach are similiar. Both have a pretty random humor and they are both in a way about delinquents. Oresama Teacher is a shoujo, but the way its not claustrophobicaly focused on the maincharacters, and the way of storytelling, is pretty similar to a shounen. 

Also, both series have a lot of hilarious characters... and bunnies.

both featured a tough guy who meets girl from another world and after that gets a supernatural powers. through the story he meets a new friends which also very similar like horny lion or a shy girl who love the main character. sometimes even story will make you say "wow! this is just like Bleach! :D" but with all this similarities Beelzebub feels more like a comedy then a fighting manga.

it may seems like a pretty bizarre recommendation and i don't know what to mention besides a similar genres, but both Yoshihiro Togashi and Tite Kubo was heavily inspired by Masami Kurumada's Saint Seiya and it's clearly shows. they both feels really similar, but without copying eachother.

also, both have guys whos clan was wiped out, but character from Bleach don't give a crack about this, while character from HxH seeking for revenge.

This similarity wasn't something I would've suspected at first. However, half way through the story of Togari, Tobe's form of transformation is almost exactly like Ichigo's Hollow self, which made be look back on both manga. I've realized that both main characters are about someone who works for the "other world", whether they really want to or not. Both are fought with swords, with power level rising on occasions where the main character is pushed back against the corner. Togari is slightly darker though.

At the first sight, both series have very little in common. But if you have read one of them and got into it, you'll get a feeling of many similarities while reading the other one. In both of them there are strange creatures and supernatural phenomena. The main protagonist is a character bound to two different worlds and as the story develops, they encounter more and more serious opponents and they try as hell to get stronger in order to protect what's important to them. Plus, both series employ some traditional Japanese beliefs.
