Beautiful episode! I loved the last pieces to the puzzle being added :3
But the ending with him writing the letter to his sis wasn't exactly unique but I still love it.

That flashback or how do you call it through sensei's life from year 61 to 16 was amazingly detailed! Haven't saw something like this in anime. I bet it took quite a long time to nail down each ageing process!

And the entire mystery was solved, I like it how such trivial things are presented in an interesting way.

Great episode. And the mystery has been solved. Hyouka is a pun for "ice cream" and Ice Cream = I Scream. Wow.

Again, Houtarou really is a genius.

Its actually getting interesting knowing the full story and still kind of tragic that the cultural festival was still shortened anyway
They have a new mystery with who that mystery leader was but it still needs a more convincing mystery for it to be a great show

holy shit that was interesting.

the message behind hyouka is that it's a privilege to be able to scream. that's better than a tattered soulless man who can't even scream (aka brainwashed) despite the madness of real life thrown at them. a walking dead.

and since it's 2017 I can clearly say that's the very case for SJWs, blue-pilled cucks and manginas. they're mad, and they're conditioned (indoctrinated) to not even scream for it. thanks college!

it's not even about being strong.
>I had no brain when I was 12
>Then everyone must had no brain when they were 12
>I experimented 100 samples and proved that they had no brain when they were 12
>Therefore children cannot consent

This is what science has done to humanity.

Once I heard the translation for Hyouka I knew what the result was going to be. Didn't expect them to solve Chi-chan's mystery that fast, I assume everyone of those four will have a mystery solved in the end of this show?

That animation with the dogs and rabbit was great, powerful, but wow it gave me some dreadful Watership Down flashbacks.

Oreki's sister going to Sarajevo XD :D It's the capital city of Bosnia, a small country where I live in Europe. I've seen quite a number of anime but this is the first time my country was mentioned in it XD

Also Ice Cream-I scream
That was so good!
The mystery is solved but there is still 17 episodes left? Welp, onto the next episode! :3

I really liked that the title of the antology was a "word game or a pun"
Ice scream// ice cream really defines the phrase "fealing dead while living" and the animation of the rabbits just explained it in a perfect way.
So I get why Chitanda was so scared when her uncle told the her the meaning oh Hyouka.

Really interesting chapter, not gonna lie, in the previous chapters I wasn't feeling a conection with the anime or a interest.

Really liked how deep and layered the mystery was. Her uncle wasn't a hero, but more a sacrifice...

Seems like everyone really likes this episode and really likes this series. I wish I felt the same. I'm not saying it's bad; it's not. But I'm just kind of indifferent. I'll give it another episode or two and see how I feel.

It's interesting that Oreki is able to solve these puzzles. I just don't feel much suspense or drama, and therefore, not much excitement, either.

wow that was more of a tragedy then anything. Poor guy got thrown under the bus hard by pretty much everyone in the school, all the dude could do was record a single emotion he felt because he knew the minute he was put as the "leader" he wasn't gonna get out clean. But shit the entire school just pussied out and left him to rot? Not one person tried to defend the poor guy? God damn what an un-sung hero

I like the fact that Hotarou’s character is slowly developing. He’s becoming more involved and looks like he really is doing it out of his own will and not because he was being forced by Chitanda. And maybe that’s the reason of his sister, making him join the Classics Club. I also think she purposely not tell him the story because she wants Hotarou to solved it himself.

That story about Sekitani Jun being expelled finally unravelled. That was brilliant especially the pun on Hyouka. But I still feel there’s still more to it. Remember the Librarian said that there was someone who really started the movement, but was not named. Also the fire on the martial arts building that caused Sekitani Jun’s expulsion. I think those two are still cases that needs to be solved.

Hyouka is starting to be on a different level for me. This down to earth and realistic mystery are so brilliantly layered down. Hopefully the future episodes will still be great.

That was amazing. I love Japanese literature and language, so seeing a lot about kanji here (like sacrifice/offering, Kanyasai, Hyouka itself) was very interesting! And didn't expect the mystery to end so quickly, but that was quite a tragic story. I guess that event really shaped Sekitani Jun's worldview.

So this episode they started to explore what was the mystery of Sekitani Jun

The librarian experienced the tragedy huh way to figure it out Oreki, It really is quite bizarre how Oreki solves these things and the fact that Itoigawa Youko said It was like Oreki was been there all along with his theory

So that's what Hyouka means and a pun indeed to say I scream.

This was an amazing episode the 45 years mystery finally concluded.....

This series is really fun they gave us little bit of information about the mystery and the mc use that to solve the mystery it's like a puzzle that you need to think about every detail to solved it which is interesting and I myself also participated of making a theory of what's the mystery is in the series which i really enjoyed it more(though i didn't get the right conclusion but i was correct in my conclusion at ep 3 well that was probably the easiest mystery to solved).......

And the word hyouka is really complex they were a lot of meanings in it i will probably appreciate it more if i know Japanese but sadly i can't

All and all amazing episode

Forced to be a leader of a student rebellion? Was Sekitani negotiating with the teachers while not wanting to be there?? All I'm imagining here is Homer Simpson leading the union to get dental cover. They could have kept it simple and just say that the students scapegoated Sekitani for the fire and it would make sense, I have no idea why they threw in this crap about being forced to lead the students. This doesn't even account for what his parents or siblings were doing either.

Accepting it at face value, it is a tragedy, but its still not as bad as going missing for 7 years. I feel like never knowing what happened to him would be a much bigger obstacle to get over for Eru and her family considering Sekitani's funeral would be occurring without anyone knowing if he's actually dead.

Those visions are pretty brutal for an anime that doesn't actually have many dark themes to it. This is essentially a regular slice-of-life anime with some mystery involved, yet we're treated to a sight of two giant rabbits ripping into each other. Strange stuff.
