-Gainax (Couldn't make a satisfying ending if their life depended on it) -Trigger (Contains some former Gainax staff and inherited the same problem) -Hideki Anno (I generally end up disliking most things this guy has creative input in) -Masaaki Yuasa (Works he is involved in usually end up with art I find hideous.) |

I don't know enough to say specific people so: Mainly industry things like those behind Corporate greed and studios that exploit their workers. And when censorship or localization goes overboard to cater for the easily offended or insert ideals that don't fit the context and integrity of the show. |

So far, I don't like someone who hates an anime just because of the 3DCG thing Also, all the hate towards Jun Maeda because of this anime. It's really sad to see. I even put Jun Maeda on my favorite list because of some of his works |

@Kruszer You gave reasonably high scores to Nadia and Gunbuster, Gainax anime with good endings directed by Anno. You even gave the Evangelion movies high scores. |

@Lucifrost Which is why I used non-definitive words like "generally" and "most" (meaning the majority but not all of them) instead of "always" or "all". Also the endings disappointing me are basically why those scores aren't higher. |

There is lots of hate in this fandom towards marginalized groups, and that should be stamped out. Hate is the norm here and that is NOT ok. A lot of people hide it behind a subtle veneer of deniability but it is still there. Stuff like i mentioned wit the "anti-woke" nonsense is a literally just a hate movement shielded under buzzwords that mask what it is

If you literally think anyone who has problems with unfaithful localization or people trying to suck the fun out of their hobby, maybe it's you who's the problem. Just saying. OT: People who think anime and it's fans are "problematic". It's especially insufferable if they claim to be anime fans. It has it's problems like any other fanbase, but it's really not that bad. |

It isnt the fandom it is just what happened to nearly every space on the internet starting somewhere between 2012 and 2015. I cant even find many in the community giving a damn about LGBT or race or gender before then and people werent plastering their identity politics everywhere one way or another because the community just naturally attracted a certain type of people that were more open minded to everything. You cant fight identity politics with more identity politics. Also while some "anti-woke" is as you describe it's also people just sick of politicizing everything meant to be fun especially with a detachment from reality and people not minding their own business but just not really having another term for it at the moment. Those kind will criticize both sides as both obnoxious.

@LSSJ_Gaming You really don't get my views. The meaning is a little difficult to explain but from how Ive seen it used identity politics is both sides relating to race (White Nationalism, Black Nationalism etc), religion (Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist etc), sex and gender identity (male, female, trans woman, trans man etc), sexuality (straight, gay, bi etc) and the like. These focus on specific groups as being different or even being harmful to eachother instead of focusing on the bigger picture seeing people as people all the same that have their own needs. You will occasionally see anti-LGBT types use the term but they are using it wrong because their views are identity politics too. Criticizing it isnt supporting status quo. There is different means of achieving same end goals. |

Here are my two cents: -People who defend lolicon/shotacon. Y'all are disgusting. -People who claim that leftists/SJWs are ruining anime spaces, when the reality is a that the reactionary jabronis who spew bigoted ideals and whine "keep your filthy politics out of my anime!" are the real people making the general anime fanbases looks bad. -Most modern Anitubers. Related to the two above points, I just can't get into them unless there are some who are willing to start talking about the issues that are in the anime workspace/fanbase. -Elitists in general. |

So I read Bullshit Jobs by David Graeber and I have to say that middle management types that are ubiquitous in any sufficiently corporate society are the banes of my existence, including within the anime industry. There are probably a fair amount of redtape within the industry that stifles creativity and artistic freedom and slows down the production of anime while simultaneously making working conditions for artists to be hellish. Besides that, the closest I can say to "enemies" are anime adult fans who are "cringe". They are hopefully a minority, but it kills me on the inside whenever an anime fan in an ahegao hoodie acts like a sex obsessed pervert in public, declaring in public how much they love their waifus or how lolis are great. |

@MadanielFL Most of us rely on translations in order to understand anime. If Sony's people do a poor job translating, we have every right to hate the company. I say that as someone with a poorly translated Sony show in his favorites. |

@LenRea Any preference I have towards an author is purely because of their work, I never said I was in love the dude or that he’s a god. If the average lolicon on this website made a once in a generational masterpiece like berserk I’d probably let them off the hook for being useless pieces of shit.
