Made by the same people. Both shows are romcoms, and the good kind. Both are very funny but also very dramatic. If you enjoyed one you'll enjoy the other!

Basicly they are both romantic/comedy/drama animes with different background story and their romantic problems but I've found them quite enjoyable in a similar way. Plus another difference is that sakurasou is about teens in high school and in golden time they are at the collage age

Golden Time released not long before KimiUso, yet both have a number of similar plot elements. For example, the protagonist in both likes a girl who appears to like his best friend. The protagonist in both also suffers from internal emotional turmoil, due to their past haunting them. For Arima, it's his hearing problems, and the feint memories of his mother. For Banri, it's his amnesia, and the feint memories of his past life before he suffered amnesia. The female lead in both shows, Kaori and Kouko, also has an upbeat personality, which contrasts with the more laid-back personality of the male protagonist in both  read more

-Both were aired at the same time -Both heavily focused on romance and drama, with a touch of fantasy for NnA. -shippers would actually have a bit of a hard time discerning who their favorite pair is -both are set (not focused) in schools Now this is where its different. you got a group of adults and a group of kids, but both groups have problems that are opposite of their age group. the "adults" are wishy-washy, cry a lot, and have problems kids could take care of. The "kids" on the other hand are way mature, actually have more sense to their thoughts and actions, and have  read more

Similar in the fact that there are lots of tertiary romances and drama on top of the main story. Main difference is the setting, college vs highschool and Golden Time is more "in depth" with it's drama.

Stories wrapped up in love polygons and a revisit of the past. Golden Time and Nisekoi formulate this trope into a story involving a main character in complex relationships. The main male protagonist differ in personalities but is kind at heart. On the other hand, the main female protagonist from both series has complex personalities and tends to be aggressive on certain circumstances. Both series revolves around relationships although Nisekoi has more action while Golden Time has more realism with its more mature setting. Throughout both series, an important content involves the past of the main characters that directly influences on present events.

If you liked Golden time, then kimi no iru machi is a must since they both have the spice of Romance, drama, and comedy.

These two animes are "slice of life" types, but they differ in many ways. However, if you seek for a realistic story with subtle and minimal presence of supernatural elements, then both anime's can be a good choice. While "Clannad: After Story" shows a realistic picture of a man who enters adulthood with all its cons and pros, "Golden Time" presents a realistic image of a man who starts his college life, meets new friends, finds love and deals with trauma from the past.

In essence, there is the romance love triangle present in both series. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien has a more feeling of maturity dealing with loss but both series conveys a message that life itself can be difficult. The main characters all have a past that are reflected throughout both series. There is tense drama present as the main male protagonist often revisits those memories. Comedy is also present in a humorous way while both series also takes place in a school life setting.

Golden Time and Ore Monogatari both focus on aspects of being in a relationship rather than just the build up to one. The main couples of both series end up together within the first handful of episodes. While the tone can be different between them, each has their own moments of comedy, drama, and of course sheer adorable romance~ <3

Both involve college drama and romance where love polygons is the predominant theme. Other than that, both have a lot of light hearted comedic moments all around as well.

These anime's both have a similar story. The two characters that connect with one another is Tada Banri and Sakurajima Mai. If you are looking for an anime that has a similar story I would go with Golden Time

Both 3D Kanojo as well as Golden Time are unique to the romance genre. Neither beats around the bush when it comes to developing the relationship between the MCs. Most importantly, both series boast of audacious DEREDEREs as their heroines (Igarashi Iroha and Kaga Kouko) who are completely dedicated towards the person whom they are in love with.

I have no idea how people did not recommend this. The genre is basically identical and focuses almost right away on the relationship. Has a minor "supernatural"-ish twist in it. I immensely enjoyed it. Don't sleep on this one.

In both animes you have two girls in love with the same boy, and both of them are really splendid! Perhaps one of them a more normal and sweeter girl, and the other one much more energetic and crazy, but both splendid! You would wish that both of them could get the boy they love, and in the end it is a bit difficult to choose which of them is your personal favorite.

There's something that stands out with both Golden Time and Kimi ni Todoke. It's not just the romantic comedy aspect or the characters but the way they present themselves with its themes and settings. The main characters' roles are reversed in some ways but they both form a relationship with feelings. Throughout both series, they run into obstacles involving love rivals and personal struggles. Comedy is presented well in both series with character expressions, dialogues, and its relationships. There's a tone of innocence that also feels natural and realistic on various levels.

Both are romances involving college students. Kanojo, Okarishimasu is more of a harem, slowly introducing multiple love interests, whereas in Golden Time, who the protagonist will end up with is clear from the start.

The plot are amazing, intense drama and appealing and they will make your heart shambles. If you are a fan of Romantic Drama scenes with a bit of Comedy these two anime should be worth watching to you. These two are masterpiece in their own story. I might says. -While Golden time has a lot more comedy you can't notice how similar the drama aspects are on both. Golden time has a lot more romance than Kimi no Na wa and i'll recommend it if you're looking for something more romantic. -Without spoiling too much, the last couple of episodes of Golden Time have a lot in common with Kimi no Na wa's ending. -If you liked one i'm sure you'll like the other.

Nana and Golden Time are both anime series with themes of relationships and complexity in terms of characters' dynamics. The main characters both have a past that are explored throughout both series. Both series involves romance with a sense of maturity (more so in NANA). They have a more sense in adolescence as opposed to being in a high school setting. Additionally, the characters have dreams they hope to make come true. Nana has an additional theme of music while Golden Time deals with more of an identity crisis. There's comedic dialogue but also emotions that are touched upon in both series.

College life is indeed different from High School Days because this age is the epitome and the last light of youth. In college, it's really important to enjoy life to the fullest because there can never be a time like this afterwards. Golden Time may be a close description of college life since it contains the slice of life in dormitories, extra curricular activities romance, etc. If you found that series too serious and dramatic, then you might be able to enjoy Grand Blue. Honestly, these two anime know how to go up and down with quality. I would necessarily say they are for everyone, but I've had my experience with both and found reasons to really and truly call both these anime "true average". They just have some really stupid people who it is not even funny at some point. But enough with such cynical behaviours. If anything, whilst Golden Time is more "unique" than Higehiro in this instant, the actual means to jump onto land that isn't exactly touched upon frequently in the medium is something which should allow these two to be recommended. In both animes main character is a young man suffering from amnesia who tries to live a normal life on the one hand, and to remember once forgotten memories on the other. What is more, the plot of both shows is based on drama and romance elements and belongs to "slice of life" genre, presenting rather realistic life of most of characters present in them, mixing it with some supernatural elements. The length of these animes is also identical (24 episodes).

While different in many aspects, these animes both tackle the difficult and sometimes uncomfortable subject of adolescent and young adult romance. Kuzu no Honkai veering more towards the difference between love and lust, sexual awakening, and the pressures put onto young people (by peers and society in general) to be sexually active. it shows the misery and desperation felt by young people when their love life is not going the way they want. Did you forget something important that you can't remember? Well pretty much I do, just kidding! Golden Time and Amnesia share the concept of the main protagonist forgetting everything about their past and have lovers that they don't know about anymore. If you want to find out more check them out. Note that, Amnesia is more a harem and Golden time has more love polygons.

unlike school days that bring you to the path of destruction, golden time tend to give the audience the path of salvation that there is a second time. despite those difference I believe that you can tell that both of these series are good. there are some similarities to both of these series. they are romance anime, and at some point you'll get annoyed to the main male character just like "how could you do that ?" or something like that. you might also feel same atmosphere in both of them. *don't hope any sexual sceen on golden time :p

Golden Time and Sukitte Ii na yo are the two anime that have rare plots that I have ever watched. Lovely Complex and Golden Time are considered romantic comedy series based off of characters who falls in love through development. There's plenty of doses of comedy, drama, but also emotions as well. The main female protagonist has a crush/admiration towards another character from the very beginning of both series. However, they also spent time with the main male protagonist to discover more about the concept of love. There's humorous dialogues throughout both series that has a variety of themes to them.

These animes are similar because they both have a ghost who tries to interfere with the male protagonist relationship and cause them unhappiness.

Bokura ga Ita and Golden Time explore relationships between characters with drama and romance themes being part of the package. The main female characters from both series seem to understand the full concept of love; however, they are able to make friends through interactions. Sometimes though, they become boiled with jealousy and get into trouble with others. There is some maturity to both series despite the comedy. The main male protagonists also have a past (although with different circumstances).

This is another anime with the same feel of romance, and a little comedy, but with a bit of edge to keep you watching as the plot develops. The animation style is less real, more animated, but still enjoyable to watch, a little more fun than AHR, but both worth watching in their own right, really recommend.

Both of them are related to amnesia, with the main character losing all his/her remembrances. Ef is more dramatic, whereas Golden Time mixes comedy and drama in a very good way. Both of them are great in my view. Golden time is much more focused in romance as well.

Before this recommendation gets yeeted out for being absurd. The psychological takes on both these anime are actually quite similar to the point in which they can be somewhat controversial. I personally wasn't a fan of Golden Time's particular antics that made it impossible to enjoy, but the same is true for some with WEP. It's not as if this is something out of a random idea, since both anime do touch on the effects that people will gain from past relationships and how that will impact people around them as well as the current present they live in. While very different in length and setting (Law school vs work life in Tokyo for Golden Time and Rec respectively) both series do a very stellar job painting the ebbs and flows of relationships in a realistic and simple manner - something you don't encounter often in the anime medium. The main characters in both shows are realistic humans who make mistakes and learn from them, and as such the relationships have a lifelike depth to them. Both series further their narratives by coupling somber moments of retrospection with lighthearted humor, which made Golden Time and Rec a treat to watch.

Consequences. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Golden Time both use MCs with connections to past and present concurrently, suffer because of so. TokiKake is about Makoto and the usual consequences that result in bending time to your will. Golden Time, however, uses a different take on the battle time can propose with Tada endlessly conflicting with his past self. Both are good romance anime revolving around the way time/the past can put up a fight with those that wish to fight against it.

1) Starts of hinting towards a romance. 2) Boom! Shakalaka happens~ 3) MC loses his way 4) Another girl comes in These are the 4 big deals that happen in these Animes. What makes it interesting to watch? Their Story-lines & Character Developments. The way how the MCs lose their way to Getting back to Understanding what's most Valuable to them is what made these Animes beautiful. They are both about how a certain disease influences the relationship between the two main characters. Also, the two main characters get together quickly in both of them, and there is one other girl who is in love with the protagonist that again, creates difficulties for the relationship of the protagonist. Plus there is the smaller girl character who's the silent type and a bit mysterious. Both the animes also have their healthy dose of drama involved.
