 Hi there! I've been an anime fan since around 2007, when I caught InuYasha airing on Adult Swim. While my tastes have changed over the last decade, I'll always have a place for Takahashi's works in my heart, especially InuYasha, UY, and Ranma. You may notice my username even came from Urusei Yatsura, the series that launched Rumiko to fame. Some of my favorite anime are anything Ikuhara directs (Utena, Penguindrum, YKA), magical girl shows (CCS, Madoka, Sailor Moon), classics (Rose of Versailles, LoGH), and I love the occasional slice-of-life/"healing" works like Aria and Yokohama. I take anime both seriously and not seriously at all. I think anime can truly be a high art form that produces some excellent once-in-a-generation stories and themes. At other times, anime is just fun entertainment that helps me wind-down after a long day at work. Outside of anime, I'm a software engineer for web applications (MAL - if you ever have an open position and if you're reading this, hi!) I also love to travel, and I have to say that Japan was my most favorite place I've ever traveled! Got to explore so much of Tokyo, but also went to Kyoto and Hakone which was honestly the best experience I've ever had. If you're able to travel anywhere in the world, I highly suggest making a 1-2 week-long trip, and I'd be happy to give any traveling advice! Scoring System: |

i saw one of your comments on the 'innocent' manga discussions
was wondering if you knew any other series that covers the same pre-french revolution time period (e.g. 'rose of versailles')
i'm also fairly interested in how shoujo stuffs intertwine in 'innocent,' 'rose of versailles,' and less directly the 'takarazuka revue' preformance group
