5 Centimeters Per Second tells the story of two teenagers,Akari and Takaki, friends since childhood who share a deep bond with each other.As time goes by, circumstances beyond their control force them to be farther and farther away from each other, making it harder and harder for them to see each other until its uncertain that they will see each other again.
The story for 5 Centimeters Per Second is bittersweet at most.It shows us the things we are sometimes too busy to think about,or the things we push away and would rather not think about as we wish to enjoy ourselves as much as possible

in the current moment.The passing of time,friendship,love,and the pain of moving on with you own life as you best friend moves one with theirs.The very things that we all must learn growing up if we are to become true adults,if we are even to call ourselves human.It shows us that not everything stays the same forever,and that change will come and their is nothing anyone can do about it.
The script is one of the most well-written parts of the story.It is more like poetry rather than a script.Every sentence,every word,is beautiful and whole.
Everything is written and spoken so well that you will not likely forget anything that is said and will remember it throughout your entire life.
The characters are the second to the story only because it the story that really touches us a bit more than the characters.Since it is a movie,they will not be masterfully developed,but they are developed enough for us to know them as people,for that is what they are truly are.Just normal people like us,with feelings and thoughts,living out their lives with their own hopes,dreams,and ambitions.
The one character that we watch live,love,and grow throughout the movie is Takaki Tohno.As a child,when he spends seemingly endless time with Akari,as a teenager,when he slowly goes on to other places and suffers the pain of separation and lost time with Akari,and finally as an adult,as he moves on with his own life,leaving everything else behind him.
The few other characters that Takaki meets also have their own stories to tell, which adds more to the movie and also lets us have a look at who they are as people,and to sympathize and feel their pain with them,such as Akari Shinohara and her own feelings and thoughts as she slowly drifts away from Takaki and moves one with her own life.
The artwork is FANTASTIC.Every frame is a piece of art.Every scene a beautiful mosaic.Everything is detailed down to every last piece of grass.The falling cherry blossoms,the trains running through the beautiful landscapes,the waves crashing onto the sea,the beautiful sunset on the horizon.It is some of the most beautiful animation you will ever see.
The characters are also well designed.The character eyes,hair,body, and expressions are all very realistic.The eyes aren't too big,hair not too long,and the expressions feel alive and real.Even as the characters get older,their design improves and stays alive and beautiful.
The music is also one of the strongest points in this anime.TENMON,the pianist who composed the music for 5 Centimeters Per Second,does an EXCELLENT job. Every piece in the movie is BEAUTIFUL.Every note a sound from heaven.Each piece touches your heart and soul and takes you to a place of serenity, wonder,sorrow,and many other things.The whole composition takes you on a journey that will take you through several feelings,thoughts,and memories that you may have and will leave you reminiscing in these things for the longest time.
The ED(written by Masayoshi Yamazaki) is also BEAUTIFUL in its own way,as it touches on all the things TENMON's music reflects in the movie.Its so touching,wonderful,and sad that it hurts. It hurts,but in a good way.In a way, that when you are done hurting,you will feel a bit better inside.
At first,i didn't know whether i enjoyed it or not.I was stuck between enjoyment of how good the whole things was and how sad and depressed it had made me feel. At that time in my life,i wasn't thinking too much about the things presented in the story.I was doing my best to have as much fun as possible.To be as happy as could be,and to avoid sadness and depression.
5 Centimeters Per Second made me think about my life and what happy and painful experiences i had had thus far.It made me think about the future and what i could do to make myself a better person.It made me sad, depressed, and lonely.I cried a lot the first time i watched this,and i cried hard and didn't stop for a bit.I even needed to talk to one of my best friends about it and about how i felt afterwords,and i needed to know that i wasn't alone and that she was their for me as a friend(i was THAT SAD).
It was a life-changing experience for me,for it made me think about who i was now,and what changes i could make for the future to make my life more meaningful and myself a better and stronger person.
Overall,5 Centimeters Per Second is a great anime to watch if you looking for something meaningful,wonderful,and sad.5 Centimeters Per Second gives you a moment to stop and think about your life.Think about how you've spent your time and whether you had enough good moments in your life,or if you been just wasting your time and not having a care in the world.It will awaken within yourself thoughts and feelings you never though you had.It will make you think about the past,present,and the future.It will remind you that every moment you have is priceless and that you should enjoy and appreciate it as much as you can before its gone.
Like the falling cherry blossoms,that fall at 5 Centimeters Per Second.

Yotsuba&! is a fun, funny, and fabulous manga that is sure to brighten up anyone's day.
Story 9/10
Yotsuba&! tells of the many adventures of 6-year old named Yotsuba(literally four-leaf in Japanese) and of the people around her. Although their isn't much of a story, the way it is told is Fun (or for Yotsuba SUPER FUN^_^), Funny, Crazy, Cool, and Heartwarming. The only story right now is that Yotsuba moved into a new neighborhood from somewhere "waaaaaaay over there". Of course, the way it is told makes it so that you don't really need a plot or anything like that. Just "enjoy everything" like Yotsuba.

The Art for this manga was SPECTACULAR. Everything, even without color, was drawn very beautifully and realistically. From the characters expressions to even the smallest details, are believable and enjoyable to look at. The covers for each volume are like paintings,they are precious, you never get tired of looking at them, and they are filled with life.
Character 9/10
Yotsuba, the main character,discovers new things and makes new friends everyday. She is a fascinating kid, with such a air of cuteness, curiousity, and child-like innocence (she is a child of course^_^) that you can't help but like her, and to wanna have fun with her.Whether she is visiting her neighbors, or discovering what a swing is, or being flower cupid and giving everyone flowers. She reminds us of how fun and magical it was to be 6-years old and to have those many adventures and discoveries rather than resorting to"grown-up things"(cigarettes, video games, computers, and such). And it is a wonderful part of our childhood that most of us end up forgetting about or putting aside, but Yotsuba has us remember those times and we awaken our inner child. And then we begin to enjoy life again.She is truely a wonderful character (heck, i like her enough to care for her as if she was a real person^_^).
The side characters such as her friends Ena, Fuuka, and Asagi are also fun and interesting. Yotsuba is the main spot-light most of the time, but it is nice to see the different interations and relationships these people have with Yotsuba and how they act outside of that. It's also interesting to slowly learn thier history, because Yotsuba doesn't have much of a history as this point besides the fact that use to live on a tropical island "waaaay waaaaay left.... and a little right"^_^. Although some would argue that these characters are not as important as Yotsuba, i think they are all important in some way as they add something to the story and they care and support yotsuba as friends and as a family.
Enjoyment-9/10
So far, i have enjoyed Yotsuba&! very very much. I never get tired of her or any of her friends or realitives. Each adventure has given me something to enjoy and learn about life and about Yotsuba and her friends. Yotsuba&! gives me more reasons to enjoy my life every time time i read a new volume. It is truely a wonderful endless adventure and one that will never leave me. I love you, Yotsuba^_^.
Overall-9/10
For anyone who wants a light, warm, fuzzy, slice of life/comedy manga, I would highly recommend Yotsuba&! Even if you dont read that sort of stuff, you will surely enjoy this story in one way or another. Just lie down, relax, pick up Yotsuba&!, and enjoy.(Once i read a few more volumes, my ratings will most likely change from 9 to 10)

Spice and Wolf is a wonderful tale that about the relationship and adventures of a merchant and a wolf-goddess. It is very well written, set in a very interesting time-period, and has great meaning to it. The story is a good one, with just the right twists and turns, and all the right developments a story needs to turn into something you will enjoy or at least be slightly intrigued by.
Story 10/10- The story is one you have heard of several times,perhaps even in your bedtime stories. A normal person meeting a wolf-girl. But this story is different from most stories told like this, and
...
its original. The story goes into great depth about everything. The world and how it works, the characters and thier feelings, the people around them, how they live, and human and (in this case) wolf behavior. And in terms of human behavior and wolf behavior, i mean how,where,when, and why people and wolves do the things they do and how they are different.
The story does have some action in it, but not too much or to little. Just enough to keep everything going. Don''t expect lots of sword-slashing or lots and lots of blood like Bleach or Death Note, but you can expect that the characters will be endangered by outside forces....or possibly worse. It also has adventure, though like i said, not a lot of fighting or anything. Later in the story, you can see a little romance, not any of lovey-dovey stuff, but it is hinted every so often so you know somethings going on, but not enough so that it annoys you. For the most part, it is a pretty realistic story, except for the wolf-girl factor.
Art- 10/10
The Art for the Series is AWESOME. You can see almost every detail about everything single thing. Their are also a lot of colors for everything, so nothing will look dull and you'll never get bored. It is truly beautiful. And it is done is such a way so that it looks great, but doesn't try and stand out too much. This is important because if you like the setting and background for the world, the world becomes a lot more believable and then so do the characters.
Sound- 10/10
The Sound was also done very nicely. Everything from the sound of a carthorse trotting by, to a bird twittering, to the sound of Holo howling in the moonlight, is realistic and sounds great. The music for the series was also done very nicely, with perfect themes for all the characters and for all the different situations and feelings that arise. The OP theme sung by Natsumi Kiyoura is a perfect way to start the series, starting nice and slow and ending with a great emotional climax which leaves you wanting to know what happens next. The ED theme done by ROCKY CHACK, was also good. I personally didn't think it was the best, but it was pretty good all the same. Overall, the sound and music for Spice and Wolf was AWESOME.

The Characters for Spice and Wolf are GREAT. Even the side-characters are all likable in some way or another. Holo is the one that stands out mostly for this series. She is in no way weak in any way. She is Strong, Wise, Crafty, and Amusing all at the same time. She can be happy one second and then angry another, she is cunning at in both words and action, and she is very smart when it comes to things such as Craft Laurence's business and the ways people's minds work. She also shows great development in the beginning and throughout the story. She is overall a great character who's original, fun and interesting to watch, and nice to relate to.
But that doesn't mean she's the only reason why you should watch this. Craft Lawrence, the merchant in the story, is also a great character in many ways. Most male characters in these types of stories do not often have much spot-light or they do not develop well enough. Craft Lawrence is a exception ( I also like Tomoya Okazaki from Clannad). He is done just about as well as Holo. He is very smart when i comes to business,people, and what they are thinking and doing (almost as well as Holo,making him pretty smart). He is also very considerate to others, helping Holo with her woe's and concerns and vice-versa. Of course, his character also develops more as the story goes, in a way that keeps you interested, and after a while, lets you accept the character (and vice-versa with Holo). He is an original character and an interesting character as well, and as a person i would like to meet if i had the chance(Same with Holo).
That is the thing that really keeps this series going. The relationship between Craft Lawrence and Holo. It is interesting most of the time, and funny at others. It is indeed unique, and one that grows over time, so that they become more and more dependent on each other. Their relationship starts out simple and slow, but quickly turns into a close friendship...maybe even more. It is one that does not drag itself or push itself too much. It is a wonderful thing, with both pros and cons. One with many different circumstances to test thier bond between them, some that even change thier choices and disitions(sorry if i spelled that wrong)), and possibly almost break their bond( this is actually more prominent in the second season). Both have everything to lose and everything to gain.
The side characters also contribute to the story well. They do not drag the story down in any way, and sometimes even make the story more interesting or funny to watch. Most of them are actually important at times, unlike a lot of side-characters in stories.Some might even leave the same impact on you that Craft or Holo might leave. Overall, every character is worth watching.

- So far, i have enjoyed Spice and Wolf very very much. Everything about it fascinates me, including the Renaissance-Europe setting, which for some reason is a time in history i've been fascinated with for a long time. I enjoy watching Craft and Holo's relationship grow, along with the many conflicts that come their way and they conquer.

Overall- This is a great anime(it is originally a bunch of light-novels, and now a manga, and its on-going), and i look forward to watching the second season very soon and eventually more. I highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in this genre or just wants to watch an anime thats original...or just to anyone who's interested.Just to let you know, the series does have a dub, and its GREAT. Unlike most dubs,each voice for each character fits perfectly and does not ruin the anime. Even if your someone who only watches subs, try it out. You will not be dissapointed.

Watashi ni XX Shinasai is one of those stories where the plot is the thing that gets you interested in it first regardless whether its a girly story or not. And the plot is interesting to those who like romance's and can relate to the many emotions and circumstances shown in this story. NO SPOILER.
Story 7/10
This story's main subject is something that can be both good and bad. Something that is very simple and very confusing at the same time. People have written poems, argued about it, cried about it, and (horribly) killed for it. LOVE. LOVE and the many characters afflictions and troubles
...
with it. I know it sounds boring at first, but the way it is portrayed at first, it turns out very interesting.
Here's where it the story fails though... or at least goes in a direction that i should have expected it to go. It gets too predictable. Although the story itself still gives you somewhat of a reason to keep going (for the characters sake), whats going to happen in terms of conflict gets TOO predictable. In fact, I'd say that the story starts to go in the direction of what Twilight and its sequel New Moon does with its story( and for those of you who've read those books and didn't like them, you know what i mean).
Art 7/10
The Art is the other thing that got my attention and possibly the only thing i like about it now. The Art for Watashi ni XX Shinasai is drawn in a way that is descriptive and is beautiful even without color (sometimes they show one page of color though, and thats nice). One of the things i defiantly look for besides good story is good artwork, and Watashi ni xx Shinasai succeeded in that aspect. The art isn't masterpiece like, but its nice all the same.

The Main Character Yukina caught my eye at first. She seemed like a very interesting character, a combination of the shy and composed type with a bit of a crafty and manipulative edge. That is rare in most of these types of stories, most of girls in those stories are usually just the shy and cute stereotype and unless you give them substance (like Nagisa in Clannad) they won't be very interesting. Most of these type of characters usually only have one person who understands them, thus her cousin Akira. Shigure is your typical guy who seems nice at first, but is revealed to be someone completely different.
The relationship between Yukina and Shigure that starts in the beginning of the story is entertaining to watch at first, but then after a few chapters in which Akira gets involved it becomes bland and......boring. The characters all start acting a bit like people in a soap opera, and theirs that Twilight and New Moon feeling in the air. Yukina becomes that shy- play innocent not so innocent girl who is in that horrible of trap of love or TRUE love. Akira and Shingure become the predictable two who bicker (or in Edward's case fight) over Yukina, each trying to win her from the others grasp. Akira being Jacob, and Shingure being Edward.
Enjoyment 6/10
I enjoyed the first 7 maybe 8 chapters of it. The story was developing well and the characters were developing pretty neatly too. The way the author portrayed the different up's and downs and inbetween's of love, was very interesting for while.But then, the love got less interesting, the story and the characters got less interesting and more predictable and the whole thing started to slowly drag itself out.
Overall- 7/10
It was good and it was bad. I enjoyed it while it was interesting, and then i slightly laughed and awwed (not the good awe) in disbelief when it went downhill. You don't have to take my word for it though. Go ahead and check out Watashi ni xx Shinasai if you really want to, I'm not stopping you. I am merely telling you my opinion on this subject. If you read my review and still want to read Watashi ni xx Shinasai, then thats fine with me. I will not be dissapointed or upset or anything. But overall, i dont recommend this to anyone unless they are a girl who loves this sort of thing. I am going to check out one of the authors earlier works Koko Ni Iru Yo now. Hopefully that will be worth reading all the way through.
