Both are about girls who have a hidden talent(Maya's acting talent in Glass Mask and Ichigo's sweet making talent)that is discovered by another peer who persuades the follow their dream by competing in a competition(The role for the Crimsom Goddess in Glass Mask,and the Cake Grand Prix in Yumeiro Patissiere).Both Maya and Ichigo find that the task is harder than they first imagined,but are both determined to do their best to achieve their goals in the end.Both have rivals who want to beat them no matter what.Glass Mask is more serious while Yumeiro Patissiere is more lighthearted although it can be serious at time as well.

Both are about a main character that is socially awkward(although Fu is more clumsy than socially awkward) that becomes friends with girls from school(each with their own unique personality) and begin to have more confidence in themselves and more determination to complete their goals(Sawako;Do one good deed a day.Fu;become a photographer).Kimi Ni Todoke is a romance,while Tamayura:Hitotose is a slice of life.Kimi Ni Todoke is more centered around Sawako,while Tamayura:Hitotose main character is Fu,but centers around all four girls and the things they do together.

The relationship between the two main characters is similar. Both Holo and Taiga are unique tsundere-like characters that have a goal they want to accomplish(Holo returning to the North, Taiga getting Kitamura to like her) and relies on the male character(Lawerence in Spice and Wolf, Ryujii in Toradora) to get them there. In the beginning,their relationship begins on a rocky start, but as they face different challenges together and get to know each other, they start to depend on each other more and develop a close bond.

If you liked the overall feel of Whisper of The Heart, then you will defiantly like Kiki's Delivery Service. Both are Ghibli movies(although Whisper of the Heart isn't directed by Miyazaki), about a girl on a journey to find her place in the world, be who she wants to be, and find love(more so in Whisper of the Heart). Both are in a relaxing setting, where nothing moves too fast or too slow, and both have great themes of life(growing up, being yourself, love,dreams,etc).Shizuku and Kiki are both similar in personality. Both are movies that will leave an impact on you of some sort, and will leave you with a good feeling inside. Whisper of The Heart has a spin-off story called The Cat Returns. Kiki's Delivery Service feels a little more finished(Whisper of The Heart feels like it should have had 5-10 more minutes of movie before the ending) Whisper of The Heart is more realistic, while Kiki's Delivery Service has magic. Both have surprising facts(Whisper of The Hearts OP is a Japanese version of an American folk song, and the ED for Kiki's Delivery Service is later covered by Maaya Sakamoto for the OVA(soon to be TV adapted) Tamayura).

Both are refreshing OVA's with a refreshing tone,setting, and overall feel. Both have their cute moments, both are nice slice of life, Both have awesome OPs and ED's,and both leave you wanting to see more. Tamayura is about photography,while Winter Garden is about love. Winter Garden is a 2 episode OVA(which could become a 12 or 13 episode series) while Tamayura is 4 episodes and is getting its own TV anime adaption.

...then you might like Ookami to Koushinryou add

Although completely different in tone and setting, they are both are about a group of people(or just two people in Spice and Wolf) going on an adventure with a supernatural being(Orphen being a Sorcerer and Holo being a Wolf God) to complete a certain goal(In Orphen; to return Azalie to human form, in Spice and Wolf; to bring Holo back to her homeland). Along the way, they face many obstacles, which strengthen the bond between them, as they depend more and more on each other. Both have good-short-down to root action sequences(although their is a little more action in Orphen).Both are based off a series of light novels. Both have a good mix of comedy,drama, and action. Both have good plot twists. Both have excellent English dubs. Both have an interesting setting, and both leave you wanting to see more. Spice and Wolf is more developed(with both characters) while a lot of development goes into Orphen's story. Orphen is an older anime(1998), while Spice and Wolf is newer (2008) The world of Spice and Wolf is more explained than in Orphen(that doesn't mean the world of Orphen isn't interesting). Both are great.

...then you might like Special A add

Special A is like the sister of Kare Kano. Similar Storyline, Similar way of how things turn out for the two main characters... and similar Characters. Kare Kano is longer,Special A is not. Special A has more boys, Kare Kano, more girls. One is newer than the other. Both are Romantic Comedies, with some of the slice of life genre.

If you liked True Tears add

...then you might like Clannad add

Both are about a male not knowing what to do and where to go with their lives. Later, a lonely girl (or strange and lonely in noes case) draws the male in, and he is inspired to help her, and they both end up helping each other and loving each other in one way or another. Both are also love triangles. Sunohara (clannad) is just a comic relief though, whereas Nobuse (True Tears) is actually somewhat important in the story and more important in the end of the story and epilogue. Clannad has more humor, while True Tears has more Drama. The OP for both are done by Eufonius. Both also have a great ED.
