I don't know how you arrived here. Maybe you came from the anime and wanted to check the original material out, or maybe you already read a Light Novel like this and wanted to give another one a try. Before you decide on giving this one a go or skiping it, let me tell you what I thought of it.

I watched the anime and read the manga but never read the LN. Having taken an interest for so long I finally read the LN. Honestly, the ecchi is quite good. I don't know why some reviewers say it's not good to read LN when it comes to ecchi. But, if you have good imagination, ecchi isn't a problem.
Story/plot: It's quite good. Not the best but I like it because of ecchi scenes were the main reason I read the LN. It's hard to put a good story and ecchi together because some readers are not into echhi and want to focus on understanding ...

Having finally read the last volume nearly one year after it came out, I can finally make a conclusive review on this series that feels I have been following for so long. I came across Shinmai Maou not through the anime but simply because I was curious about it after seeing some of the illustrations online, seriously if you haven't already, check out some of these illustrations, they honestly made me immediately wanna read the novel.
I disagree with the other review here, if you are in for the ecchi definitely pick the LN over the anime, as far as ecchi goes I haven't seen any ... |
