I'm not gonna lie, I came here just for the tits but I ended up finding a pretty interesting story.
I felt the anime had a nice balance of plot and PLOT.
I expected to not like it at first because being submissive isn't one of my fetishes, but the anime knew how to balance out the truly important bits.
As for the story itself, it seemed rather interesting. Nothing groundbreaking, sure, but interesting enough to make me pay attention to more than just the lewd scenes.
Honestly, if this anime doesn't get a second season, I'm considering going to the manga.

If you want a long story short, if you saw the anime and liked it, read the novel. If you saw the anime and didn't like it, don't read this.
If you'd like a slightly more in dept review, continue reading.
This novel is the story of Rudeus Greyrat, there are other works set in this world, but this novel is complete by itself.
This is not your tipical isekai story. The story is slow-paced, and sometimes you will revisit scenes by another character's perspective. The fights are also more about the meanting/situation behind them than actual crazy powers.
Again, this isn't the general isekai story.

think it is good. This is a story about a good-for-nothing doing his best in another life, so that he can eventually die without regrets, unlike the first time. There are a few parts of the story that I don't like or find questionable, but it is a generally good story.
I would recommend you give it a try, but if you've already tried the anime and didn't like it, then don't waste your time here. But as far as I'm concerned, this is one of the objectively better isekai stories I have read.

Regardless of anything else, I have to start with saying that this is a good series, even if I have a few gripes about it.
The title's pretty self-explanatory, and if you've seen the anime you know what to expect. The only things I'd point out against this story is that I feel the non-linear storytelling hurts it a bit (I remember getting to the point the anime left off, only to have to go through volumes of the years in between the timepoints that I didn't really care for. way that might not sit well with everyone.
In any case, this is an isekai that you can read regardless of if you're tired of isekais or are new to the genre. Again, despite the gripes, it's a pretty good series.

Honest, one of the few isekai stories that actually gains from being an isekai (there are objectively better isekais, like Mushoku or even Tensura, but they didn't really have to be isekais).
The story follows Hajime, who upon being isekai-ed with the rest of his class, gets one of the weakest jobs and now has to survive all on his own. To do that, he becomes stronger and essentially lets go of his humanity. But as he meets new friends (and girls for his harem) he gains back that humanity.
This is most definitely not for everyone, the author really embraces the chuuni side of the story.

But I would recomend checking volume 1, if you can get through that you can get through the full story.
The part I disliked the most is how the author often focuses on characters not on the main group. Yeah it lets these side characters develop and there's also a lot of build-up for future payoffs, but it's hard to read about characters I don't care about. The best example of that is the final battle, everyone fights in it and you can be sure you're going to read about everyone's fights, so something that really should only be a volume long becomes 2 volumes long.
But like I said, overall, I like the series and would recomend checking it out. You can read just the main series like I did, but I think the payoff's bigger if you read the Zero spinoff and the afterstories as well.

A textobook example of a good idea with a bad execution. Boruto anime had a good idea, let the manga go ahead and focus on the main plot, while the anime stays behind and focus on side plots as well as improvements to the main plot.
So what went wrong? Well... it's an anime with nearly 300 episodes which less than 100 are actually worth watching. Lots of episodes have a children's cartoon script (character in focus has a problem, a bigger problem show up, character overcomes their problem which lets them overcome the bigger problem, everyone's happy, character development?)
That's not to say it's all bad.

The parts adapted from the manga are good, and there are some good original arcs (time travel arc, Kawaki in the ninja academy arc, and the Nue arc at the beggining of the anime are some examples that come to mind), but again, nearly 300 episodes with less than 100 actually worth watching.
I would recomend you check the manga if you want to get into Boruto, but if you insist on the anime then get some kind of episode list so you can go skipping. I watched all the episodes as they aired and considered giving up many times, the only thing that made me stay was the knowledge that the anime is the "canon" version, so do yourself a favor and just watch what you must.

This has to be one of, if not my favorite novel from Kuji. After reading HxH and Ecstas Online, you really notice his growth as an author.
In short, the story goes like this: one day, Yuuto wakes up to find that devils and magic actually exist, and he is chosen to fight in the Devil King War as the Candidate of Lovers Arcana, which is considered the weakest. Once he enters Ginsei Academy, or Devil King Academy whichever you prefer, he meets qith a girl called Lizel, who whishes to help make him Devil King, along with Miyabi and Reina, who become his Cards. the basic gist of it.
The story is nothing mind-blowing, but it's pretty good for what it is. Yeah it could use a little more world-building or development of characters not allied with the main cast, but again, when you compare Kuji's evolution and what the story really needs, and add to the fact that this story was cut short, I think it can be forgiven.
I'd say the series has 2 main problems: the first is that it kinda follows the format "new volume new villain" which makes things a little predictable (you know everything has to be solved by the end of the volume, no matter how bad it is), and the second problem is that until the very end Yuuto is considered the underdog. Like, he defeats 1 oponent per volume, and by the end of volume 5 he only has 6 out of originally 21 oponents left, yet people still think he's just a normal human not worth their time.
And of course there's the matter of the lenght of the series itself, 5 volumes. Yeah, that's only Part 1, but we've yet to recieve news of Part 2 as I write this.
Which brings me to the matter of volume 5 itself. There's no going around it, it's rushed. That being said, given the previous 4 volumes, I can forgive volume 5. Kuji at least finished Part 1, rather than leaving the series in an eternal cliffhanger. I do hope the series comes back though.
Overall, I'd say the series is pretty good. Sure, there are some points that can be better, but I think those can mostly be forgiven. If you're looking for a short LN with plot and "plot" I think this is one worth considering.

I've seen a lot of people hate this, so I'll give it a 10/10 just because and I'll do a proper review.
First of all, this isn't an anime for the faint of heart. If you like your good guys protagonists or if you can't stand violence and revenge, this isn't for you. But if you don't have these problems, you might enjoy this.
You probably already know what's this about. The hero of healing was abused so he turned back time to get his revenge.
Unlike what you see in most other anime with revenge on the story, here the protagonist will get his revenge. On other
...
anime, you usually see the MC giving up on his revenge and taking the moral high ground against those who did him wrong, but not here. Here, the guy will go to the deepest parts of hell to get his revenge.
The animation and sound are good, especially considering this is almost a hentai. Honestly, I expected much worst animation and sound, but this one was on the higher end.
I found this very enjoyable and, if you've read this far, hopefully you'll also give it a try and maybe like it as well.

I don't know how you arrived here. Maybe you came from the anime and wanted to check the original material out, or maybe you already read a Light Novel like this and wanted to give another one a try. Before you decide on giving this one a go or skiping it, let me tell you what I thought of it.
The story doesn't start off too complex. The main character is a former member os the hero clan and his two addoptive sisters are from the demon clan. The main character wants to protect his family, and so they enter something called a Master-Slave Contract in
...
order to gain the strenght to fight against their enemies.
That's basically what you need to know before starting.
The first thing to note, if you came from the anime, is that a lot of scenes (especially from season 2) were censored. And I'm not saying that the violence was censored, I'm saying that the more lewd parts of the story were censored, so it might be worth going from the beginning with this one.
For the most part, the story develops nicely, and so does the lewd parts. As the story becomes more complex and involving so does the lewd scenes. No matter for which reason you began, you won't be too disappointed with how it develops.
This Light Novel has 3 story arcs across its 12 volumes. The anime covers the first 2, leaving only the last one behind.
While the first 2 arcs are really good both in the story and ecchi departments, the last part leaves a lot to be desired. Stakes that were present during the majority of the story are suddenly gone because they became inconvenient and the battles become confusing with the sudden addition of new things that weren't present before.
There are also other things that contributed to the last part not being all that great, but I won't dive into them since they would be spoilers. Just know that, if you're a bit sensitive on some topics, maybe let this one pass.
If you're willing to see these characters' stories to the end, then give this one a try. But if you're here just for the ecchi, then maybe stick with the anime.

I don't really know how the chapter count works for Light Novels, so just know that, as I'm writing this review, I've finished Volume 01.
First, this is another series by Kamachi Kazuma. Maybe you know him from the To Aru series, or Heavy Object, or something else.
This story focuses on the Summoning Ceremonies, the Summons and the Summoners. Though it presents a very "unusual" take on it, at least that's how I felt like.
I admit that, once I first gave this one a go, I quickly gave up due to how "different" the combat worked and how strange the world was. But, after a while,

I found myself coming back to this and giving it another go. I mentioned the result of this at the start of this review.
I won't dive too deep into the story, both to avoid spoiling it for someone and because I feel like no matter how much I write, I won't be able to truly explain the story.
In short, the protagonist is Shiroyama Kyousuke. As he was on his merry way, he found a girl, Meinokawa Higan, being attacked and decided to help her. After which, Higan asks Kyousuke's help to save her sister, Renge. And so the story is set on motion.
Like I said before, I don't think I was able to explain it properly, but I'll be happy if it at least got you curious to check it out.
Lastly, what I'll say is that, although things might seems strange at first and you might have difficulty imagining the combat and whatnot, stick with this at least until the end of Volume 01. I guarantee you won't regret it.

I'll cut this short, just like the anime was.
I started watching this by accident. I downloaded an episode of another anime, but the site made some mistake and I got the first episode of this anime instead. I watched it and was hooked from the first episode.
This show had a very original take to this kind of story, and the protagonist is also really interesting. Since you probably have an idea of what it is, I'll skip over that part.
Overall, this anime was really good, but it had some problems down the line and the 12 episodes it should have had got cut to 10.

And let's not talk about episode 9's animation.
If I had to say, I recomend everyone give this a go and, if you enjoy it, maybe look at the Light Novel (I know I will).
If, let's say, it was anounced that the studio would remake the anime or that they would release the last two episodes in a OVA, I'd still give it a go.
To finish this off, I can only say one thing. This anime had a lot of potential and could have been one of those animes that is nice to come back to every now and then, but it was unlucky and met with some problems, so we were left with this sour taste, but, at the very least, it's one more Light Novel to put on my Plan to Read list.
