When i first found this manga just from the title maou i expected it to be the typical hero trying to beat the demon king kind of story however it isn't.This series is heavily politically just the summary should tell you that instead of the typical hero and demon king fighting this breaks that cliche in the first chapter.The demon queen convinces the hero that their fight will do nothing for the world whether the humans or demons win the war.The human society was literally depending on the war to continue for it to survive if it stopped many people would starve to death ...

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is unique and makes for a great read, both in terms of adventure and thought.

This manga certainly does have long walls of text, but they are not boring. I believe a unique trait of Japanese manga is it's ability to explain a certain topic in great detail, yet while driving off boredom. And, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha certainly does a great job at doing that. During my time at school, I would often fall asleep in class. Somehow the very idea of learning would make me tired.
