Both involve supernatural elements of Japanese culture as plot driving force as well as a love story between protagonists being the undercurrent of the story.

Both are exciting novels that deal with solving mysteries and discussing the supernatural (more so with Ghost Hunt) in an almost episodic manner. Yet at the same time there is also a deeper underlying plot that runs through the novels regarding the past of the lead male protagonists. Both keep you enthralled while reading, if you liked one I would recommend checking out the other.

Both are supernatural themed with elements of horror. Both have a mysterious male lead [though Asou is more light hearted] and have a female assistant that suddenly starts working with them. Both have a company that deals with thesupernatural. Both relate to Japanese folklore. Kanae and Mai have similar personalities, and fall in love with the main leads. Both have arcs talking about dolls, and the main in both are very powerful.

Both are mysteries involving the ghosts, a normal girl and a guy with special abilities and a difficult temper. Plus, both are really good.

Fans of supernatural, shojo, mystery manga will probably enjoy both Yurara and Ghost Hunt. Ghost Hunt follows Mai Taniyama, a highschool student who works a part time job at the Shibuya Psychic Research (SPR), helping to solve mysteries involving supernatural occurrences. Yurara follows another supernaturally sensitive high school girl, Yurara Tsukinowa. Yurara has the ability to see ghosts and often encounters them at her school. Unlike Yurara, where we're told who the ghost is almost immediately, Ghost Hunt often waits until at least a third of the way into the chapter or volume to reveal the perpetrator. Both Yurara and Ghost Hunt deal with girls  read more

Both are dark mystery stories with a striking artstyle and a sense of tragedy in them and also ghosts in them as well too.

They both are mangas involving solving cases, in Ghost Hunt the cases are paranormal and is involved with ghosts and psychic powers, in Usotoki Rhetoric they are normal detective cases, but the female lead has the ability to detect lies. Usotoki Rhetoric is a periodic manga and a bit more light hearted compared to Ghost Hunt.

Both involve ghosts and supernatural happenings, although they're very different. Both also have a teensy bit of romance :)

Both stories have the same elements: ghosts, comedy and love, just in different proportions. Ghost Hunt is mostly scary/tragic with some comedic parts, Arcana (Soul) has about the same amount of comedic and serious scenes.

Both are about investigation of supernatural phenomens and exorcism. GH is more abouth investigation and have traces of romance. (In short its more shoujo.) S.I.D. is more shounen or seinen like and focus more on dealing with spirits and their exorcism. If you like one you should try the other. (PS: Sorry for my english :D)

Ghost Hunt and Sugiru Juunana no Haru are written by the same author, Ono Fuyumi, but illustrated by different artists (Inada Shiho and Yamamoto Kotetsuko). Both stories carry the same eerie atmosphere surrounding mysterious cases of ghosts, curses, and other supernatural elements. Characters work to piece the clues together using a variety of means such as scientific reasoning and simple detective work. Ghost Hunt deals more with characters possessing psychic abilities and being part of a specialized team, complete with comedic moments and romance hints. Sugiru Juunana no Haru deals only with normal folks and an haunting incident, and is less comedic and more familial.  read more

These both are mangas about people attempting to solve mysteries. There are lots of references to studies done in the para sciences and the supernatural is approached from a logical viewpoint. Also, in both stories there are characters who have some sort ofl power that is helpful towards uncovering the truth. Expect equal parts horror and comedy.

Apart from the obvious connection due to the name, "Ghost Only" as the same kind of plot: a young school girl, Ema, can see ghosts and ends up working part time for a restaurant who's owner, Ren, has mysterious powers of his own. Ema and Ren team up along with a few ghostly friends, and bring peace to the souls who wander into the restaurant. The main difference between "Ghost Hunt" and "Ghost Only" is probably the genre. While Ghost Hunt is more focused on the supernatural/horror and his more serious, Ghost Only is more on the humourous side of things. Both stories are interresting, I  read more

Completely different stories and genres, but both are mysteries with ghosts involved

Both series feature a mysterious and handsome young man who contends with a series of supernatural cases his occult knowledable make him particularly suited to handle. Tousei Gensou is a period piece while Ghost Hunt is contemporary, and Shinobu doesn't have a constant helper like Naru does, but the case-by-case structure of the stories bear strong comparison, and both series spend the bulk of the last volumes focused on revealing the truth behind the protagonists' identities, including highlighting the hints that have been scattered in the chapters that came before.

Both have a group of humans researching and trying to solve supernatural cases. In Ghost Hunt the group is composed of professionals though while in Nurarihyon no Mago they are merely a bunch of middle school students with only 2 capable people.

* ghosts! * Actual sense/rules/science about ghosts! * properly written interesting characters: both leads and the episodic characters * bitter-sweet by default * both can be heart-warming at times and truly scary af * both are exceptionally well written, but somehow overlooked, works regardless of genre
