They are both Soccer If you like this, you may also like Ao Ashi. Ao Ashi is more realistic and is definitely worth to read too

This is a very good soccer manga. However, instead of focusing on teamwork and having a "special partner," this manga focuses on the talents of the individual and how one can improve individual skills.

I'd say start with Blue Lock because then you will get used to selfishness and egoism in sports first and then you will be prepared to jump to read a one man show in One Outs.

A bunch of pretty boys fighting against each other haha (except one is about soccer, one is actual life-death fights) The characters have similar personality too, and all of them is quite likeable. I think Tougen Anki is one of the few shounen manga with a lot of good-looking characters that is not a sport genre.

while blue lock is a sports shonen, the overall feeling is very simliar to world trigger. What makes both so good is the importance and detail in each of the many characters. In addition is intelligence and improving main key in both storys. if you like the story progress of one you will like the other one aswell.

Kuroko no Basket and Blue Lock are sports manga. What makes those two similar is that both has some kind of "superpower" system that make those two unrealistic.

Both cool football manga that are interesting to read

These two sport manga's tells the story of the journey of two football coaches who led their club back to winning ways and regained the trust of the fans/directors of the football association. Both coach attitude may be eccentric, but there's no one better around at turning underdog players into a giant-killing team. There is also great attention to detail technique when it comes to football match.

-Both are about characters fighting against each other in a facility to be at the top -There are different blocks and as you rise up your food and lifestyle gets better within the facility -There are characters in both manga that are two faced and reveal their true selves as a twist -They're both action packed -the fight scenes are climactic and thrilling

When i read captain tsubasa recently, the way they play reminded me so much of blue lock. Although blue lock has better art and captain tsubasa has better story, they are similar in a way that both contains superpowers and unrealistic aura when playing. The characters are flying, and of course, the football is there. Both popular too. So if you're a fan of unrealistic sports like captain tsubasa, you will like blue lock.

These are two sports(?) mangas that show the characters improving constantly, both in their sport-related skills and in their understanding of themselves through said sport. They have a similar feel where the dynamic art allows you to really immerse yourself in dance/soccer even if you aren't interested otherwise. Both are really amazing mangas which allow you to feel the passion of the characters through the pages.

What I like about both of them is how they use the battle shounen genre to their advantage in unexpected ways, Souma with its culinary duels and Blue Lock with its soccer battle royale. Both have an interesting set of characters and exciting competitions and rivalries.
reportRecommended by BolachaWaifu
Despite different genres, both stories have similar main characters that start out ordinary but have to survive and overcome intense challenges by their own quick thinking and self-improvement. It definitely gives the reader that rush. Also, there are cool teams in both series.

They're both give the sens of competition and self satisfaction, with over the top battles with maniac characters with everything and stake. They're also very creative using its premise, with interesting games and arcs.

They are both by the same author with different artists and tackle a variety of issues in a interesting and unique way. That really stands out apart from most manga imo. Highly recommend giving both of these series a go :)

The character designs, sometimes the shading and posing. Obviously two completely different sports, but somehow I feel like Blue Lock was somehow influenced by this, especially if you look at Ego. I'm pretty sure he's literally from Yowamushi Pedal.

To become the greatest striker in the world is not different from going to mars, right? And how to get there is by training, competing, and surviving. While Maho is beginning his journey in the Space Academy, the Blue Lock is Isagi battlefield. You will find yourself supporting these interesting MCs while reading these real page turner manga series!!

While the scale is drastically different, both manga throw their characters into unprecedented scenarios presented in a tournament setting which leaves them no choice but to try to "survive" - literally in Shuumatsu no Walküre and figuratively in Blue Lock. Both manga have a strong, competitive fight-or-die-mentality that permeates every character and decision made. The art styles are very expressive, at times very exaggerated and always very detailed, creating two of the most visually dynamic series currently ongoing.
