| I would honestly be fine if this was the formula for the rest of the show, where we have character development for Ippo's opponents, and his odds of winning are slimmed down. Helps build suspense. |

He has better taste than Ippo when it comes to girls looks-wise haha. When he loses to Ippo, I hope he at least wins her back bc she's very loving and supportive. It's a waste to let her go :X |

| From the looks of It, I have a feeling that Oda would end up being the winner of the match because of the bigger focus on him and the fact that there'd be a big chance that he'll lose everything if he loses the match. His dignity, his livelihood, and even his girlfriend; Everything's on the line for him here. I hope that even if he does end up losing, they'll see how hard he had worked through his fighting. Of course, I'm also rooting for Ippo to do his best here! |

| The direction for this episode was fantastic! Such tension being built before a fight this early into the series is unbelievably enjoyable to see. The pacing for the show as a whole has been immaculate. All bets on Ippo! |
