| Does your life situation dictate what anime you watch? Do you treat anime as an escape mechanism for characteristics you lack? Or does watching a particular anime fuel your cravings for a particular fancy? i.e You're fresh out of a toxic relationship so you watch slice of life romance school anime as a coping mechanism. Not that it's deep or philosophical, I really lack zero to hero energy so I watch series to compensate for my lack of motivation. |
| I watch action shows cause I like it. I watch romance cause its missing in my life. Recently watching some iyashiki and Sol anime cause its relaxing after hours of study. |

| The amount of seasonals I watch considering how busy I am is a weird, conflicting experience due to some degree of FOMO. It does also help act as a breather between work but the amount definitely is nuts. At least I'm glad I mostly don't binge new shows that much besides a couple rewatches if I am free in stretches. The rewatches part is less life, and more just burnout from trying new shows to binge many episodes of since it has been a very, very long time since I have seen an older anime for the first time and liked it so mentally I stopped bothering. |

| I have a soft spot for wholesome isekai anime, and not so wholesome anime with crazy unrealistic scenarios such as death games (I also like exaggerated action and gag comedy) and both let off steam just as well. All it really says is that I like anime that turbulently wrecks any real life scenario I find myself in. Not forget about it, but WRECK it >:) |

| I watch cute anime because I like cute things. I like watching obscure anime because I seek out uncommon experiences. I watch a fair bit of romance and I've never had a romantic partner, although I don't try too hard to find one and a lot of romantic relationships I see in anime aren't the kind I'd ever want to be in (eg. I would never want to be in a harem, either being the person trying to juggle or choose from a bunch of different romantic partners or someone competing with several others for the same potential partner). |
