| @deg I have seen Netflix release single episodes before, but I guess that is more for when a series is only airing on Japan, for international anime they do seem to release all at once. edit: I just finished watching episode 1 and it was amazing, I m a fan of Monster, but at the start I was not seeing this going that way, or even knew the synopsis of this anime/manga... but this was just a great experience in general. The atmosphere is there, and slowly as the mystery starts to take form, things get more ominous and creepy, but the end of this episode was just sad. Didnt know why we where wasting so much time on those new characters after the start, but it paid off soo well, and it is only done to build up for the actual treat. Considered reading the manga for this many years ago, I'm glad I did not, dunno what is ahead and want to be absolutely surprised! |

| I read the manga some years ago, so i still remember some facts, but holy shit they really did a great job. So good to see Urasawa characters in new animation. North 2 part is an upgrade, love everything about the piano song here. Also they made my man Gesicht (way hotter) cool as the manga. And as the vol 1 end we finally see our Astro Boy! |

| The long awaited PLUTO is finally here!! North No. 2 and Paul Duncan part feels really slow, but i guess it need those time for the build up. It took almost second half of the episode, i think it's well done. First episode and already hit the feeling. |

| North #2 and Paul's story hurt the first time when I read the manga and it hurts once again watching it animated. The small movement in the fight in the earlier part of episode was jank but everything seems well done so far! Thought I would just watch half a episode but sat through the whole episode. Really enjoyed the first episode! |
| just watched the episode and man!!! something so refreshing about seeing Urasawa's style adapted in modern times. really good soundtrack as well, visuals are amazing, the storytelling is engaging. big fan of Monster, so I'm really looking forward to how the rest of this story unfolds! |

| So much time passed since the announcement, I didn't even know it was airing. Had only a peek at it and it already looks like anime of the season. Yeah, the entire episode had me glued to the screen. Was anxious during the Duncan and North.2 part. Was hoping it could end on a happy note, yet that wouldn't make as much sense as North.2 becoming a victim of Pluto as well. That was an impactful story. Animation style during the confronation with the junky was pretty interesting. Don't really care about how this is based on Astro Boy aside from thinking "oh cool" lol. |

| I've read the manga a few years ago, it was in my favorite list. But, I've forgotten most of it by now. Great to see an wonderful adaptation of this, only from seeing the first episode. The fluid movement animation in action scenes and the camera movement are all well done. Even the second part with Duncan and North No 2. was just as emotional as I remembered it. The OST is also creepy and mysterious. |

| My god!! The 2nd half of this episode was heavy!! Duncan's years of misunderstanding coming into light, North #2's loyalty for his master and passion towards his piece of art and the persistence to complete his art speaks millions!! A very well directed part of this episode. I usually dont get emotional, but the part where Duncan finally understands the struggle his mother went through to cure him hit me hard at the heart!! I subconsciously started tearing up. The best scene was definitely North #2s final scene at the tornado, where he starts humming, and Duncan calling him to come practice Piano!!! The atmosphere, the music, the voice acting, the art.... |

| Bruh I just watched a robot and an old man talk about music for 50 minutes, and it was the most mesmurisingly engaging things I have ever seen, now I'm crying and everything is so.... aaaaah what the hell man? You can't do this to me! 1st episode was a 10/10 for me, already i am near certain its my anime of the year. I just hope to god that this blows up like i think it will. |

Please tell me we aren't at a point where no matter how award worthy a show's visuals are, some people will think its bad. I would cry myself to sleep if I animated this show and saw a comment like this. |

| It's finally here! Looks like each episode will be covering one volume which is great. This episode was amazing and it adapted the manga very faithfully. North No. 2's death was just as devastating as it was in the manga. Really excited to watch more of this! |
| Very strong start, clean animation and action scenes. I think the part with the old man and North No.2 dragged on more than I'd liked it to, but the latter's sacrifice was done really well and was powerful. Knowing Urasawa, this will be a great watch. |

| Pluto is my 3rd fav work by Urasawa after Monster and 20CB, but the episode felt little bit underwhelming maybe because I know what's gonna happen. The North story really caught me off guard when I was reading the manga, nevertheless great episode but under my expectation. Still not sure about I'm gonna continue it or not, I loved the manga and I'm actually satisfied the way I consumed this story, so I don't really feel like that I need to watch its anime too. I can't stop thinking the whole time while watching the episode about how amazing the 20CB would be with this level of animation... Episode - 4/5 |
| I mean, that was a perfect adaptation. Well, as perfect as one can be. This first episode really captured the essence of the manga. Particularly, North #2's story. I also wanted to badly to see Brau-1589 animated. I know Brau is not exactly mobile, haha, but it was nice to see exactly what he looked like with the animation. |

| So far, great adaptation! I greatly look forward to watching the rest. When I read the North No.2 story in the manga in the manga, I found it to be incredibly touching, and a great way to really invest us as an audience in this story. It was translated very well to animation If you are a fan of Tezuka, there was a blink and you'll miss it cameo by an "incredibly skilled, but unlicensed, Japanese" doctor cloaked in black in the composer's backstory. I thought that was neat that they kept that in, and even kinda showed a bit more of the doctor than they did in the manga. |
