| Last movie was actually really good, both for story and for the combat scenes, not that much fan service either. hopefully this movie is as good. |

| Fantastic movie. 11/10. (cause add +1 for the hype) Fate/Kaleid has this unique blend of mythology (Fate) and dark magical girl theme. I hope the second part is as brilliant as the first one! |

| Fate/Kaleid is PREMIUM Fate. Best section of the franchise. FSN, FHA, and any sequels they ever decide to produce can all leave out an Illya route so long as they continue this. Mahou Shoujo + best girl & Fate loli = Prime Time Television 😂 |

| I will just say that I never expected the Fate franchise to interest me as much. One of original anime problems, still present in Unlimited Blade Works, is a lot of dialogue that goes nowhere, building up hype for the following combat scene only to end in a few seconds of animation. Illya at least solved that problem. You get a balanced configuration of dialogue, lore, fan service and action. With action taking more and more screen time while the season progress, as any anime must be. Yes, the magical girl thing is kinda forced, but they are skilled in make you forget about it in the first episodes of season 1, and concentrate in other aspects of the show. The include/install system is original, and transformations usually look very good, a few of them look ridicule, usually Miyu's ones. Illya's berserk install in this movie is super charismatic. The previous movie (OUS) kinda frustrate me because it resembles more the rest of the franchise, and because Shiro has too much screen time. I didn't enjoyed it and just watched it for clues of story and lore. I understand it's an essential part of the story, but please, he already have two series, three depending on how you count. Last movie is 90% of the time pure combat. Both movies have a different peace than the rest of the series. What this movie does right is that the true protagonists go to the battle by themselves (no spoiler, happens at the beginning), leaving all supporting roles behind. Kinda makes up for the previous movie. So, more than excited, I just want a satisfying conclusion. No exciting survives so many years. |
