| I don't want to offend anybody but why does Angel beats have such a high score? I just binged it and it's mediocre at best. The story is super bad and it feels like it's rushed. I was left with so many unanswered questions. The message it's trying to send to the audience is ok I guess. The characters are dull. The only redeeming part is the art and animations. Could somebody briefly explain to me what's so good about Angel beats? |
| I thought it was underrated. Well the show is more than 10 years old. It was quite popular when it came out and was quite talked about. People loved it, It was a bit refreshing, it had good comedy, it had great characters, it had great ost, it had a great concept, and it made many people cry. |

| I respect your opinion but for me this is a freaking masterpiece. It’s got great comedy, great animation and the story is sentimental as heck. Also I loved both the op and the ed. |

| It was one of the first anime I watched a year ago, still have it on the burner for a rewatch though so I decided to keep it off the completed list. In terms of my thoughts, from what I remember it was one of those cry porn anime like Anohana and Your Lie In April. Some of the characters needed more focus to care about them, like TK for instance. Case and point, The show just needed more episodes honestly, for this kind of show which builds it's foundation on the characters with a pretty big cast doesn't really lend itself well to a standard couple episode season. I did cry at the ending, though I would've changed it tbh |

| 8.09 isn't an overrated score nowadays And I loved the mc's backstory and the last episode, I prefer the characters here to Charlotte. It got very unrealistic in Charlotte, and both of them were meant to have 24 episodes but broadcasting issues cut it down to 12, that's why they feel rushed, u can say it's overated but it is the first anime that made me think if I'm taking life for granted, that anyone can die at any moment. | People Saying something is overrated or underrated are such a damn nuisance, you see it in all immensely popular or unpopular anime’s threads. There is a thing called opinions, and the general opinion is that it is highly regarded. I am not a big fan of it either and imo a lot of shows are better. But that’s just it, that’s my opinion it doesn’t mean it’s overrated. Nor is it underrated. Having a discussion on what you thought was good or bad to you is great, and shows people enjoy different things, and is something you could learn something from about a show in a way you hadn’t seen it yet. But calling something overrated or underrated is just a means of throwing a lifeline for attention and hoping something will hook the bait. Get over yourself, you’re an adult. |

| As someone who has Angel Beats rated pretty high, yeah the story is nothing special, the reason I like it is because the music is great, and it's pretty emotional. It had quite a few fun/funny moments too which made it really enjoyable to watch. It's no masterpiece by all means but I had fun. As for people debating Charlotte, personally Charlotte had a lot of potential but the story was too rushed. It would've benefited a lot more from having more episodes imo. Instead of 13 episodes, the story would've been better with having 50 episodes. |

| Well i think it has to do with it being pretty old and looking at it retrospectively, there are many anime and characters similar to angel beats nowadays that it kinda makes angel beats seem average compared to newer anime. It was fine from what i remember about it |
