| Even though I am not a fan of T ,introducing him would increase the chance to get a second season . Furthermore . Tanaka sensei is the best. I wish they would animate the extra chapter and show how Shouko fell in love with him :D. The OST in this anime is really great. |

| ^Agreed on Tanaka. Up until the Yuuri rooftop hug, this was maybe the best ep so far. Too much crying. Kou still annoys me. |

The Ao Haru Ride redemption begins. Let's hope it lasts! In the past few episodes, I thought this anime was becoming increasingly shallow, so I'm a bit happy to see that we're seeing progress in terms of emotions being expressed. Although Kou is still distraught about the death of his mother, I still believe that there might be something else to account for his distance from others. Perhaps that's it- after caring for his mother only to lose her, and doing the same for Futaba, he's reluctant to open his mind and heart again to accepting anyone else, not wanting to feel that pain again- and I can understand why he would feel that way. Some people react to tragedy in a different way than others. I think it was incredibly stressful and devastating for Kou, and so he felt the need to build up walls to protect himself from the same happening again. That's why he's reluctant to open himself up to Futaba again, because she had already broken his heart in some way and even though it's clear they both like each other, he's not prepared to face any risk of loss. It's very important that Futaba and Yuuri's friendship can transcend their respective jealousies over the struggle to win Kou's heart. I think that's true friendship; when fighting over a guy or something petty won't cause a rift between your original relationship. I've seen best friends in my school stop talking to each other and constantly say terrible things about each other because of issues with guys that they like, and thus that's why I think Futaba and Yuuri have a friendship to be treasured above all else. |

| Not what I expected. Here I am thinking Makita confessed to Kou and got rejected. So now we know why Kou is the way he is. It must have been hard on him since he probably blamed himself for why his mom died. Having to take care of her by himself. |

| So it was not a confession, it was the shrine for his dead mother. Kou and Youichi had a hard past. Kou even more. It's hard if something like that happened to you. Some people change more as they maybe want to. It's nice that Futaba and Yuuri be friends although they love the same person. All in all interesting and nice episode. |

| I knew Tanaka was going to interrupt at the end :p I figured it was the divorce in general that damaged Kou, but it has to do with his mother's hospitalization and eventual death huh. That's heavy :v |

Tennouji said: Too much feels... to the point that it feels like it's getting melodramatic. yep. felt that like 5 episodes ago. ------- boring episode. yoshi cries way too much so the scene - whether it was supposed to feel significant or not - was just like an average scene in the show. oh and as i predicted, remember yuma (or whatever yoshi's middle school friend was)? well yeah hasn't appeared since and i don't expect her to. because guess what? that was just a plot filler because the author had run out of ideas on what to do. and what else to do than shove a character from the MC's past to add interest! this story has such a huge amount of holes it's not even funny anymore. and i also predicted that kou's parents were divorced from the first ep, low and behold they were. |

| It's pretty normal for Futaba to get curious on what happened between Kou and Yuuri. This episode is surely tragic and melancholic. Didn't know that Kou had to go through all this pain. As for Tanaka-sensei, it's sad to see him feeling pressured with his new job just when the illness striked to his mom. Pretty much everything that needs to be discovered with Kou has been revealed. Hoping he recovers because he have his own friends right beside him who truly cares for him. It was nice to see Futaba and Yuuri apologizing to each other for being jealous in the end. They're all really good friends. Also, that awkward scene with Tanaka-sensei...  |
| Female main characters cry - The Movie! No, but seriously, wasn't a bad episode, quite interesting even (that thing about his late mother e.g.), but the crying was a lil' over the top. Just my opinion, nothing objective ^^ |

| I still don't like Kou. Love Futaba though. How do all these kids have time and desire to help the one slacker? This happens a lot in anime, especially shoujo anime. | Now it would be a good time for a plot twist, making it less predictable. Futaba x Yuuri, please? They have the trust, are willing to talk about their feelings and express them, and both are kind, willing to look past competitiveness and jealousy. Would be a better match than anyone else in the series. No playing games, no miscommunication that would go on and on because *someone* is afraid to be honest about feelings. |

| Predictable backstory, because it's always been this way when a character acts super cold and has an over the top stoic personality. Though the execution was good enough. Also look, make sure to turn the doorknob whenever a girl comes visit you, it'll do a lot of favor, seriously. |

| Ugh this was such a beautiful episode. It actually managed to make me cry. Its so sad Kou had to suffer so much all by himself. I'm proud of Fubata for being honest with Yuuri, but turns out that Yuuri wanted to know something she didn't. The music was also very fitting and beautiful |
