Kenrantaru Grande Scène by Cuvie is a Hidden Gem in my opinion. This manga is about Kanade Ariya and her journey to becoming a professional ballet dancer. The story is pretty realistic, the art is good, and we get to learn a lot about the techniques, history, and different variations of ballet. I know that "ballet" might sound boring, but this manga made me enjoy it. So I think y'all should check this Hidden Gem out!

The World Is Mine by Hideki Arai

To me it is peak seinen, I'm actually taking a break from manga because of how intense this stuff was. It is WELL beyond typical edgy seinen stuff and is a wild fricken ride.

May I suggest one? The 1997 manga adaptation of Anne of Green Gables, aka Akage no Anne, here: https://myanimelist.net/manga/10282/Akage_no_Anne?q=akage%20no%20anne&cat=manga It's terribly obscure and not many people know about it, but I read it online a couple times and I absolutely love it! This version was drawn by the lady who helped do the art for Candy Candy, and is a pretty faithful adaptation of L.M.Montgomery's novel, with the sparkly shoujo art giving it that extra oomph.

Yuureitou reads like a Sherlock Holmes hunting Jack the Ripper story and keeps one glued to the plot.
Added to it it's 1950's setting and the unexpected "gender bender" tag and this one is really a combination of various things that makes it still work somehow.

Putting the suggestions from comments here so they can be all in one place.

@Firechick12012 - May I recommend a hidden gem? @Catexia - For people who like cats: Kabocha no Bouken

@Nec_Mergitur - If you love supernatural/horror stories with a sprinkle of mystery, you should definitely check out Wakusei Closet. Although, I'm not sure if it was recommended previously.

It has to be Sakamoto days.
The story is generic but so funny as hell.

The Depth of the sky

This is a short manga with only 5 chapters. It is a sweet slice of life.

Would you get a haircut from a Prison Salon?

Obscure work with an interesting premise.

Edit:
Would like to add Pygmalio
An epic adventure with Greek mythology. The oversized sword in Pygmalio actually influenced Berserk.

I was going to recommend Blue Period ...until I saw the member count.

Still, I hadn't heard of it before until I saw a recent update. I was hooked from the first chapter from the way it handles high school students from all walks of life grasping towards their futures so realistically through the medium of art school. The art drawn by each student in the manga was done by actual art students. I'm guessing the author had friends or connections to a local school.

And it begs the question: Why do you draw? Are you planning to make a career out of it even though society looks down on such foolish dreams? What drives you? What are you passionate about?

So instead I'll put in a recommendation for Gin no Saji or Silver Spoon. People might know about it because it's by Hiromu Arakawa of Fullmetal Alchemist fame but seriously, this manga needs more love.

Top notch comedy, excellent character development, the best kind of coming of age story, grounded in agriculture. I will never take raising livestock or farming for granted again. The way Arakawa writes Hachiken's difficult relationship with his scarier-than-the-yakuza-and-mob-combined father was extremely relatable.
A good author leaves the audience enough material to be satisfied with, yet yearning for more.

Wanitokagegisu is one people have been sleeping on, a good coming-of-age story and I think its underrated. A urban-like seinen manga that delivers a good job at its shock value and dark twists, balanced it with funny moments. Although it has less character developments for the supporting characters but I think the author did a good job in affecting them around the main character, similarly to Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa. Also has one of the goofiest facial expression I've ever seen in a while.

Raise wa Tanin ga Ii or "An outsider is better in the afterlife".

You've seen this plot before: Osaka girl born and raised by the yakuza moves to the big city to meet her fiance who belongs to the yakuza rooted in Tokyo. Will they get along? Will their marriage bring a peaceful alliance or cause the greatest turf war between rival yakuza groups? Etc.

The manga's art is uses bold strokes, thick lines, and excellent depiction of dynamic movement for both action scenes and comedic beat panels. It reminds me a little of comic strips on the comedic side.
The best parts are probably Yoshino (our initially in-over-her-head heroine who doesn't take crap from anyone) reacting to her insane/ruthless/manipulative/qualm-less yet unusually innocent and kind fiancé, Kirishima's antics.
A good author leaves the audience enough material to be satisfied with, yet yearning for more.

Die Wergelder or Beageruta as it's called on MAL. The 31 chapters that have been scanlated are all great. Great art from hiroki samura, interesting story with creative plotting. Extremely good action scenes and a nice gritty atmosphere with highly fleshed out cast of characters.

Black Cat

It has a good number of readers, but it seems to have been forgotten. It seems that in a while it will have a sequel.

For Imperfect People

It does not have a very reliable rating, but I found it pleasant to read.

It is very short but very sweet. It feels like the main protagonist romantic interest may be neurodivergent or coded as.

Shimanami Tasogare. A wonderful slice-of-life with a slight fantasy feel (mysterious Anonymous person and the whole starting event) about a boy struggling to accept himself as gay and come out to the world around him, including his family, classmates etc.
He may be the MC but there are other characters around him who (accidentally?) help him along his way with their own struggles and resolutions.

I think it's a good manga to read whether you're struggling with the same trouble yourself or to affect one's view of other's struggles and acceptance.

Ryuu to Yuusha to Haitatsunin or "The Dragon, the Hero, and the Courier.

This series stands out in the fantasy genre the way Spice and Wolf focuses on economics with some supernatural elements.
Instead of focusing on heroes defeating the Demon Lord, it focuses on the everyday lives of those who support society and take on thankless jobs - namely couriers.
We follow the the half-elf Yoshida "the Short-Tempered" risking life and limb for her job as she navigates a bureaucratic fantasy world, that lampoons obscure medieval rules with dry wit and satire.

You might even come away thankful we don't live in such times anymore.
I also like the sketchbook-like art style.

Sengoku Komachi Kuroutan: Noukou Giga or "Ballad of a Belle's Hardships in the Warring States Era: Agriculture Comics"

(Whew! What a title to translate! If someone can come up with a more succinct, catchier title that'd be great.)

Shizuko - an innovative history nerd, mysteriously travels back in time to the Warring States era and serves Oda Nobunaga with her practical knowledge in history, agriculture, cooking, medicine, various inventions, and more!
The question is, should she utilize her knowledge of the past to help Nobunaga advance and even prevent the death of key historical figures thereby changing history as we know it?

To quote jesteri's review, "A really wholesome manga that puts emphasis on comparing and contrasting how today's notion of "common sense" would radically effect the past."

Reading this story makes me thankful for a lot of the comforts we take for granted in our day like running hot water, soft beds, nutritious food and plenty of it, and medicine when something ails us.
Also instant communication to dozens and hundreds of people.
How do you call an entire village together and coordinate building/farming projects when everyone is working on their own schedule and you don't know who's who or where they live before winter comes?
A good author leaves the audience enough material to be satisfied with, yet yearning for more.

I would like to nominate "Karakuri Douji Ultimo" by Hiroyuki Takei and story by Stan Lee! It's a classic tale of good vs. evil told by the conflict between Ultimo (pure good) and Vice (pure evil). It's well drawn and the story leaves you guessing through conflict after conflict. Stan Lee even makes a few cameos as he's known to do! Highly recommend giving it a read even if it doesn't win Hidden Gem of the month.

Kiba no Tabishounin: The Arms Peddler

It's a fantasy adventure story as wild and dangerous as Berserk or Claymore. The characters are in constant danger and it makes you want to turn the page as fast as you can to see how they get out of it.

To quote journeycat's recommendation: "two young boys are bereft after their families are killed, and the female leads take them in under the guise of making them their servant. The boys are initially a bit weak, especially compared to such strong women, but the during the long, hard journeys they face, they show remarkable growth"
