So, other than Serufu that Miku that is jealous of, there's the new foreigner friend Juliet a.k.a Jobko that she's getting closer to. And not wanting to sound like the jealous girl that she is with her usual overworking mother, she invites herself to Serufu's house where they have dinner together, and this is her first time meeting the super-genius daughter who's also in the same high-tech industry line. Serufu's pet pig must be terrified at the mentions of pork.

Both Miku and Jokbo get along quick, and though the latter is an enigma being a soft-spoken person, she just needs some pushing to get the conversation going. Serufu's imagination can run as wild, and Miku's just as reluctant, but it's Jokbo trespassing to her place being the genius technician she is, hacking into her AI jellyfish.

Jokbo wanting to live at Miku's balcony instead of the hotel, she's already envisioning the life, and Purin sure is jealous seeing Jobko with all of the advanced tech in her very hands, and only if she wants in, which Miku gives in. As per usual, Serufu is quite the clumsy klutz, and her fall here is quite severe. Though Miku's mom will give her usual wrecking, Jobko's request of a homestay at 10,000 yen, well I mean, Jobko is rich enough that the rent itself is peanuts.

Jokbo finds an inkling between her and Miku due to their parents being almost non-existent in their lives, and Serufu's the same when it comes to handiwork like wind chimes. Miku's idea of a treehouse to complement the DIY club as a "landmark", it would be great and doable. Only one problem: Miku's classmate, the neko-girl is here, and see how she'll shake things up, meow.

Comfy DIY with a fallacy that doesn't break the entertainment.

Poor Serufu. She is such a klutz every time. x3

That pig is so adorable.

I really liked Jobko and Miku's interactions in this episode. So many funny moments between them.

A tree house sounds a fantastic idea!

Serufu is a serious accident in waiting.

This show really has a hard time showing us the safety precautions in a working environment for these high school kids, nails flying left and right, the club president waving with the drill like if it was a sword. Like what is that nurse, you know, the club advisor doing ? Next time someone comes in with an arm chopped off, band aid ain't gonna cut it dear.

Obviously, you want people to introduce the magic of doing things yourself, instead of the mass consumer path. But how about you show us first, how to not get yourself mutilated in the process.

Also, Miku and Miku's mom, that's a home invasion, i'm pretty sure you can call cops.

Serufu's injury streak continues, even at home. lol
I really love how Serufu's family always eats pork dishes while they have a pig as their pet.

I wonder if it'd would've been easier for her to hack into the tech school and put herself in as a student that way. Guess the trade offer with Purin is better (and less illegal).

In retrospect, instead of being in a hotel alone, doing a homestay would've been better from the start. Plus, it seems that they can keep each other company.

I love how Jobko didn't bat an eye when she thought she'd have to pay $10,000 though.

Another loli-hacker, c'mon. Jobko is an absurd character, she ruins show's vibe, imo. In the previous episode it was not so noticeable, but now...

Looks like Pudding has a new roommate, and the club has a burglar entering the building.
Well it was obvious the black haired girl would show up in the club at some point but she has a pretty interesting way of entering the building.
The club also has a new project and it will be interesting to see how that turns out.

High tech girls as roommates, Pudding and Jobko were definitely meant for each other. This show just keeps on making me smile in ways I never imagined.

Yep. If I had lost a limb it would have grown back with so much healing cuteness.

Serufu is the ultimate genki girl with her inexhaustiable inner energy and all enduring stoic acceptance of every new hurdle along the way. Even a broken leg or loosing a few fingers couldn't stop her enthusiasm.

Aww, that was such a nice and sweet episode.
I’m happy that Miku ended up being able to spend time with Serufu, and even got to grow closer with Jobko. I’m excited to see more from Jobko and Miku together, and perhaps understand what Jobko meant about them being more alike than they think. Looking forward to when Miku can finally join the DIY-club together with the others!
Waiting for something to happen?

Man, I can't get enough of this! We finally get to see some more Purin in the show, and she's great, and interacts with Jobko in a nice, wholesome way. Speaking of Jobko, she's definitely growing on me, but every single character in this show is honestly quite awesome. Can't wait for more, and maybe we'll get some tree house building and potentially another new member next episode?

That bike animation though, really well done. Thumbs up!

Jobko has grown on me very quickly once again. I really like how she got along really well with Miku and helped Miku to open up to herself and Yua. Their talk at Yua's house made Jobko decide that she wanted to live with Miku, so she hacked into her house (Typical genius loli flexing her skills right here!) and mass-ordered her stuff from the delivery drones and had herself a nice little room all to herself.

Luckily, Miku's mother was absolutely fine with it. I had to laugh when Jobko thought the monthly rent was $10,000 and she was VERY happy to pay that much, before being corrected that it was 10,000 Yen instead. That's a huge bargain, considering how loaded she is with money. XD

Not to forget, whoever animated the short segment of Yua cycling deserves more praise. It looked absolutely incredible...

Now it seems like Miku's friend from YuuVoc has made her dynamic entrance via the clubroom's rooftop. I love her looks already, so I'm highly looking forward to seeing more of her in the next episode. =P

I was wondering how Purin/Miku would be roped into DIY, looks like it’s through Jobko moving in with her, I definitely like that. I really enjoyed the amount we got to hear of Jobko’s engrish too lol, I really love her voice acting. I won’t lie tho, as comfy as this episode was, the talk about AI taking over did spook me a bit lol, but the fact it’s being talked about by cute SoL girls makes it easier to swallow.

Purin’s mom was cool as well, I wonder if Jobko will end up giving $10,000 instead of yen lol, and her calling Purin’s Mom “Pudding Mom” was hilarious. And looks like Purin’s friend from her school showed up at the DIY club, I think she’ll be into the club but I’m wondering about the different school issue.

Also holy cow that bike ride at the end, that looked splendiferous!

A Miku focused episode, eh? I kind of missed the DIY stuff in the clubroom, but at least it was somewhat interesting that they incorporated it in Jobko setting up her new "room."

It's a little crazy that Miku's mom was so chill about the whole situation. Makes you wonder why Miku has such a bug up her butt. Also, I feel like they aren't going to explain it, but did Jobko cancel her stay at the hotel? Or is she paying for room and board at Miku's as well as for an empty hotel room? I know her family is rich, but let's at least make an effort to not bleed money unnecessarily.

The treehouse concept seems like it could be interesting. So, I'm looking forward to how that's going to pan out.

"...Is your mother worried? Would you like us to assign someone to worry your mother?"

The ensemble cast is coming together finally. This will tide us over until Laid-Back Camp Season 3 releases next year and the film releases in English.

Apart from that, if you want to watch similar series that are even better watch these:

  • Laid-Back Camp Season 1, Three Room Camp OVAs, Room Camp (short series), Season 2, Movie, Season 3
  • Encouragement of the Climb. Next Summit summarizes first 3 series + 1 OVA series, but I recommend watching the originals for any scenes not covered.
  • Super Cub- Great series that is quiet and introspective and focuses on its main 3 leads for the entire duration. Has some stand-out scenes because of it. Especially Reiko's Mountain Bike Climb. Not a commercial. It's an actual dramatic series.

I still don't care for Jobko, but it's cute how she says "Pudding" in an American accent, or as opposed to "Purin."

Also, Pudding's mom is cool. When they said she worked late and such, I pictured her as being the typical distant workaholic parent, which would explain her daughter, but she isn't. So how'd Pudding end up like this?

Also, Serafu has had a band-aid on her nose since she was a child.

I love this show more and more with each episode...the only other anime that's at this level of cuteness is "Is the order a rabbit".

And another day of torture for poor old Pig...this time via Saltimbocca.

Haha Jobko hacks Purin's stuff, bribes her then moves in for the cheap price of 10K yen "Home Stay". What a deal! Since she's saving so much from Hotel Costs plus getting a look at school materials from Purin, she should fund the Tree House!

I lost it at ”thank you Pudding mom”. Strangest line of Engrish in an anime I’ve heard yet.

I found Jobko more likeable this episode. She came off kind of cute when before she had stronger brat vibes.

I’m thinking they just went their separate ways once they went to their own dedicated schools and Miku thought Serufu would hold her back from achieving her lifegoal because how much a slacker klutz she is. I get the impression she actually kind of envies Serufu even though she also dislikes her for the same reasons.
