Bakuman.

For sure they are very a like. They are both about making it into the industry of pop culture. While Shirobako focuses on the production of anime, Bakuman focuses around the world of manga. The point where they differ the most is the romance which can be seen in Bakuman. Both animes are interesting and charming in their own way and should definitely be watched! 

Both of them are about people setting goals and trying to achieve them. They are great and make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. You will find nothing like this on american tv. 

this show also revolves around creating manga bakuman makes shounen manga while gekkan shojou nozaki-kun makes shoujo manga also both series have romance, slice-of-life, and comedy as their genres 

From the same creators as Death Note, Bakuman will certainly not dissapoint you. There are some small similarities in the story, as it's all about reaching your goals, and there is also a lot of rivalry between the characters. If you have an interest in maybe slightly autistic characters (as far as I know it was never really confirmed), Eiji Nizuma from Bakuman makes me think of L from Death Note. 

Both are about 'normal' teens who are following the dream to become the best at something. Both have elements of comedy, romance, slice of life, drama. Both have great characters (some of them genius at what they do), with lots of friends and rivals. 

Both series involves the main protagonists who wishes to follow their dreams of becoming a professional manga artist and making a name for themselves. At the same time, they discover more about the world with their friends and more about themselves. Both series are lighthearted and has good comedy, drama, and romance. Both series also has some emotions in some of the episodes that are realistic. 

There was barely any manga-theme related recommendations. Similarities: about manga While Comic Girls is about a fledgling manga artist and all the moe that ensures, Bakuman is about a pair of guys making it through the manga industry. I felt Bakuman was in-depth in the inner workings of the manga industry, while the main lead in Comic Girls was trying to learn how to get better in her drawings. 

Not because of the boys love (although some people might like so see the two main characters of Bakuman as more than friends), but because both of the series take you behind the scenes of creating manga. 

Like Genshiken, Bakuman is also a slice of life, comedy, and a little dose of romance that involves people lives around manga. Both deal with the realism of making a living from the manga business. Genshiken's focus is on a college club that researches on manga, anime, and video games. The storyline aim more towards the lifestyle and subculture of otaku, meanwhile Bakuman's story is more strictly concentrated on being success in making manga and magnaka's lives. Small differences aside, from both shows most characters show either very positive or negative deep emotion towards manga and manga business.  

Highly recommended if you liked bakuman and want a bit of romance. Both are focused on creators within the anime. While Bakuman is making manga, this one is focusing on Dating Sims (games) Where Bakuman has 2 guys, this one has a guy and three girls. While Saenai does not have the drama tag, and is mostly comedy, there are still certainly Drama elements, especially along the lines of season 2.  

Both anime are about two parters who start thier lives. Takagi Akito and Mashiro Moritaka at Bakuman and Komatsu Nana and Osaki Nana at Nana. Although Mashiro and Takagi are only 14, they grow up at the anime and become Nanas's age (20) at sencond season and the manga. Also, both anime talks about love. Many times at Bakuman there are talks about love and littlie sex as Mashiro wants to marry Miho or Takagi and Kaya's relationship (and much more at Nana). Also, while Takagi and Mashiro use their lives to make manga, Osaki Nana lives meant for music. Remember of course that Nana is Josei and Bakuman is Shounen. The two anime are wonderful read more 

Both stories are about two high school students working together in unconventional industries to pursue their dreams. Initially the pairs receive opportunities into their industries pretty quickly, but the main bulk of each of the stories are about the characters working their way up to the top. Dreams can seem impossible, but both Runway and Bakuman. show that you should never give up on them. 

Both have very similar pacing and atmosphere, as well as a mix of drama and comedy.Both are also very enjoyable explorations of different lifestyles. Bakuman is a telling and entertaining look at being a Mangaka, while Gin no Saji explores farm life. 

Both MCs are mangaka (manga artists), although Mangaka-san to Assistant-san is more on the comedy side, and it doesn't really have an actual story unlike Bakuman. 

Both have MC-s that are good at arts. In Bakuman MC is good at drawing manga and in Barakamon MC is good at calligraphy. Because of their interests they meet with new people. Both MC-s very love what they are doing and overwork even. Also both MC-s have a rival - In Bakuman it's Niizuma and in Barakamon it is Kanzaki, both are young geniuses or so to say. Both are trying hard to get better and looking for more inspiration. 

Both are about young writers that have a dream that they are achieving, however Eromanga is comedy harem, but Bakuman is more about friendship. 

Both anime focuses on main characters trying to follow their passion in the arts where Eizouken is trying to make anime and Bakuman is trying to make manga. Both anime delves into the details of the trials and challenges of making their passion become a reality. Eizouken is a bit more dreamworld-like with a stronger focus on friendship and growing up while Bakuman has a stronger focus on romance and inter-personal relationships. Bakuman has pretty cool storyline-ceptions, it makes you want to read the mangas that the main characters come up with while Eizouken is very kind to show you the finished product at the end of each arc (thank goodness).  read more 

Both anime has a protagonist who is obsessed with improving themselves. Both animes are about hard-working and trying to reach their aim. Also, story-telling is enthusing and makes you influential. 

Comedies about the struggles of creating a manga. Both lets viewers to see some details of the process of manga industry.

In both we can see the heartwarming story of the protagonist seeking to realize their dreams. 

Bakuman is the Beck of manga. Similar slice of life feel with similar progression. The main character both were once going through life aimlessly.  

It's about doing whatever it takes to achieve an seemingly impossible goal. The soundtrack at certain points were quite quite similar, you really can't like one without liking the other really.  

Both are about young people striving for their dreams with love as a factor of motivation. Anyone with a strong aspiration of their own will be able to relate to this anime. 

Both depict the rise of aspiring nerds to their respective arts. They're about creators and their creations. While Bakuman follows two aspiring Manga-artists, Pompo shows the directing/acting Debut of its two main characters. 

Bakuman is based on a mangaka's daily life. Same with Seiyuu which is based off a Seiyuu's life. Both relate to the anime industry. We see how the world said thing is like and the hardships that come with it.  

I am treating Bakuman., Bakuman. 2, and Bakuman. 3, all 75 episodes, as one series The similar aspects: -Dramatic moments that may or may not make you tear up -Extremely well-written romance -Some incredibly touching moments -Some hilarious moments The different aspects -Clannad: After Story is much more serious than Bakuman. -Without spoiling anything, the final* ending of Bakuman. ending makes much more sense (*Bakuman. 3) -The premise of Bakuman. is overall more Shounen, meaning the Main Characters have a goal, and they're going to make in a reality -Bakuman. has an overall more realistic feel to it In conclusion it is really up to the watcher, however, both shows are perfect examples of very, very well-written Slice-of-Life, Drama, Rom-Coms(sort of), that will give you a feeling of accomplishment when you finish the entire series. read more 

both anime explores the lives of writers/editors in a weekly magazine. while Bakuman is about teenage writers (guys), Hataraki Man is about a late 20's woman. Both explores the hardships of deadlines, writer's blocks and how it affect their personal lives. Comedy is of course a plus. Bakuman has the romance going for it while Hataraki is the opposite.  

Both are Slice of Life - Romances with a dose of comedy and a huge helping of feels. While they have widely different story lines and styles they both have characters looking to be the best at what they do (piano/violin and manga) with all the bumps and bruises along the way. They aren't perfectly parallel, but that's what make it enjoyable to watch both of them. 

Both anime show how great professionals are born as we follow them through their struggles... Though bakuman is more little light-hearted with more comedy and does not have the long dialogues of the protagonist's thought train... I liked 3gatsu no lion better between the two :D 

Both possess rivals instead of enemies and story about people perfecting their craft, rather than focusing on destroying their opponents. 

Both series show the progression of the characters during many years and how their dreams change. In both series art is a big part (manga in Bakuman. and sculptures/painting in Honey and Clover) as well as romance.  

Series exploring a professional career with details regarding practice and techniques. 

Both anime contains plots about artists who are trying to find their particular marks in between widespread appeal, and niche appreciation. 

To put it simply, both are show which tells the journey to achieve dream / ambition of main charas and how they overcome the problems that prevent they to achieve what they want (Moritaka and Takagi a.k.a Ashirogi Muto in Bakuman. and the four Girls in YoriMoi) Both have great drama, good comedies, Realistic Main Characters, and the storyline that become more interesting the more u watch it If you like this type of show, i'm sure you'll love both show 

These two are similar because the series covers the problems of the entire cast of characters rather than just being fixated on the MCs. It adds a different dynamic when you have several favorite characters and you don't know which one to cheer for. Drrr! does it on a larger scale than Bakuman, one episode comes to mind where the MC was on screen for less than 1 minute. Also, the MC's look very similar. Mashiro and Mikado (The two MC's) are both shy and timid, but can also be very passionate. Takagi and Masaomi both are the best friends with the MCs, and are used for comedy a lot of the times, but also have a serious side.  read more 

Altho the underlying story is different, both have voice actresses and their career/love life as a major plot drivers. P.S. This link becomes more apparent on bakuman seasons 2 and especially 3.  

Main Similarities: •The main characters strive to accomplish their goals (In Bakuman, their goal is to get their manga serialized and get that turn into an anime, while in Shoujo-Tachi their goal is to create a game). •Shows the process of their goals (From start to end). •Both shows the struggle they go through. •Every character has a trait that benefits to their goal. (Shujin from Bakuman is very good with words therefore he writes the stories of the manga, while Bunta from Shoujo-Tachi is also the script rider). •Similar genres (School, romance, etc.) Both are pretty good (especially Bakuman), you should give it a try. 

I was kind of surprised not to see a recomendation between these two Anime as of yet. Both deal with Otaku romances that occur over time rather then right away. There is also a bit of realization of dreams in both Anime. 

The Aquatope on White Sand and Bakuman have main characters in high school working hard to reach an impossible goal - saving an old aquarium from closing and publishing the most successful manga. Bakuman uses the pressure of competition to keep viewers invested in the journey of the main characters. The Aquatope on White Sand uses beautiful animation and friendship to keep viewers interested in the storyline. Both anime portray realistic outcomes when it comes to the effectiveness of hard work and determination.  

All about achieving your dreams by any means necessary and extensively explores their respective industries and how ruthless they sometimes can be, being music and manga respectively. 

In both shows, main guy and girl agree to get married under certain conditions. 

-Young mc that has big dreams -A main cast mainly consisting of 2 guys and a girl -A black hair quiet love interest -Blonde best friend -Themes of suicide and self hate -An early death of a close family member -Make you think some people are bad then make you doubt it later on 

If you've seen Oshi no Ko, you should definitely watch Bakuman. Bakuman follows the behind-the-scenes of the manga industry in the same way Oshi no Ko follows the idol industry. Bakuman is about two boys who are determined to make a successful manga. The series details the struggles, successes, failures, and personal lives of the two main characters. Though Bakuman follows the ins and outs of the manga industry, it is ultimately more lighthearted than Oshi no Ko but is still a very good watch and is a very inspiring series. 

Same authors, but a really different type of story. 

accidentally have same event: starting point is the protagonists had fallen in love to main heroine in junior high school Bakuman. and Tsuki ga Kirei has interesting show in romance story, even Bakuman. is more to manga serialization problems. 

Bakuman and Carole & Tuesday are both similar in the way that they're both about 2 people who meet, become best friends, and try to make it big in the industry (manga and music respectively) together. Both stories follow their path to fame as they try to make quality works of art to reach the world. Both stories have a wide array of interesting side characters who also work in the field. They both contain a rival character who you can't help but root for. They both have a lot of insight and realistic points about the music & manga-making process. 

While the stories are incredibly different I get the same kind of excitement from these anime. * Eureka Seven is full of action-packed flying mechas and battles while Bakuman's action is set in the everyday as the characters struggle and tension to become manga artists. While Eureka Seven has fast moving battles scenes it also strangely seems more talky and goes into long winded explanations every once in a while, but Bakuman keeps conversations short and to the point, making each episode move quickly. * Both have a very sweet and awkward love story which part of what drives the stories but is not the focus of the plot. Making these both great for the Not Mushy Romantic. * The humor is wonderful! Bakuman brings in lots of other manga and anime references (Fu-sion Ha!) and Eureka Seven's laughs come from the awkward love and the failings of our hero. * You will cheer on the characters following their joy, triumphs and hardships along the way. * Because of the subject matter of Eureka Seven, it is darker and more grown up their the young main characters. This may seem like an odd mix, but I've tested the recommedation on a hardcore Eureka Seven fan, and he has been converted to a Bakuman follower!  read more 

I find it similar to the Bakuman Series from season 1 to season 3 because of the manga titled Crow that Niizuma Eiji(one of the supporting character) drew in the story since Bakuman is all about a magaka/manga artist's life if you have already watched it. Besides that, it turned out that the voice actor for both Murasame and Niizumi Eiji are played by the same person. Other similarities that I find is the strength of the bond of their friendship which you may find it similar between Mashiro and Takagi in Bakuman. In conclusion, both story manage to control the audience emotions throughout their whole journey in each story. read more 

- Both anime have two protagonist teaming up in a world they strive for, both having interest in it. - The protagonist have their own talent that when pair up with their counterpart makes a powerful team, for example; In Bakuman one protagonist is good at drawing and the other is good at writing stories, in Build Fighters, one character is good at building gunpla and the other is good fighting with the gunpla - Both anime have the protagonist fight against different rivals to be the best - Both anime develops the characters and they get stronger as the show progresses  

They're both really similar because Bakuman and Glass no Kamen have protagonists that are working hard towards their goal. Glass no Kamen is more psychological but the characters and the plot are pretty much identical, and there is always someone cheering them on from behind the scenes. Give it a try for yourself and see what I am saying. 

Both focused on exposing the inner workings of a Japanese industry. Both have believable characters (albeit Bakuman is targeted at a younger age) Both a great shows about growing up and striving to achieve your dream. Whether or not the characters succeed is a different story.  

Bakuman, first off, 'reminded' me of Initial D somewhat in the feeling of it; and second off, they both involve (a) young boy(s) who at first doesn't/don't have any set plans for the future starting to take part/interest in something like a life/career path. And they're both basically good series IMHO. So go check 'em out! 

Bakuman and Genshiken Nidaime both involves a group of friends/characters who are prefers indoor activities but more importantly into the manga/anime culture. The main characters are knowledgeable about the manga field and in Bakuman, they even pursue a career in it. Both series has a lighthearted tone and also has a slice of life feeling to them. There's also references to other popular anime/manga series. There's some romance as well (more so in Bakuman) that creates drama among the characters. Both series also contains hilarious dialogues with a fun sense of humor. 

On anime focuses on music, the other in manga, but both have somethings in common, like determination, passion and talent in their respective art, though one of the girls in K-on didn't learn how to play the guitar until later on.  

both are Slice of Life about people wanting to achieve some sort of ultimate goal, in Skip Beat! the main character wants to become a superstar, in Bakuman the main characters want to become the best mangaka. Both have romance as a sub-plot. 

In Welcome to the NHK two boys are making a game, and in Bakuman two boys are making a manga. I find these series very similar - they contain comedy, some information about game-maker's/mangaka's life and reflection too. If you liked one, you'll probably like the other one. 

Telling daily life of creators where they struggling with work and relationship problem. although with a little more serious plot development. 

Those animes teach how the reality in this world. Bakuman for people who follow their dreams and Zetsubo sensei, for the reality that we faces everyday.  

In both anime series the main characters are really hardworking and busy, trying to make their dreams come true. Both are slice of life, comedy and drama with friendship and romance playing an important part. 

The same group of individuals who wanted to make it big in the manga businesss, except one was more on the serious side, while the other was more on the funny side. 

For me New Game wasn't just another anime about cute girls- It was an honest story about the game industry. Each episode left me extremely motivated to get to work just like Bakuman. Both are stories about creative people working hard on the things they love!  

Similar Story where the main character in both anime are fight for their drama, and they both promise the one they love that once their dream come true they will be together. Both are good romance anime.......  

This recommendation applies to all seasons of Bakuman. Make sure you watch Bakuman 2 and 3 if you watch the first season of Bakuman. Both Cross Game and Bakuman have romance as the second theme. Both protagonists focus on what they do—manga in Bakuman, and baseball in Cross Game. The series have sweet romance behind the main story and a cheerful tone. 

Forget that one series is about sport and another is about drawing manga. Neither of these shows are about those subjects at hand on the surface (at least not as main points), they are first and foremost about the hardships of life and trying to get to the top in your respective field while having support from your peers and friends/family. These shows are mostly about the characters themselves, being branded as geniuses but still having to work hard to achieve their goals and be at the very top (whether it's being a top ping-pong player or top mangaka). Neither of the characters from either series can accomplish their goals through just skill; they also need friends to support them and put hard work into it (whilst having some luck). If you value the actual message that the shows give you will enjoy it if you enjoyed the other one. Applies to bakuman 1,2,3 not just the first one. read more 

Both are journeys through life, and very good ones at that. They also both have an overarching romance along with constant comedy. Clannad although takes a darker path through life whilst when Bakuman isn't all sunshine and roses it is definitely at least a little lighter. Both start off feeling like a slice of life and then underline dark themes as the story progresses. I would highly recommend both of these to anyone. 

Bakuman and Hyouka really reminded me of each other as they have a similar atmosphere and characters. Similarities: - Two main characters (Chitanda; Hyouka and Miho; Bakuman) look very similar with their hairstyle, they are both a bit timid and I swear they are long lost sisters aha. - Both a slice of life type of anime (with schools). - Both series have two other main characters that have a lovey relationship and are best friends with the other two. - Very similar atmosphere. - Both series leave you wanting more, and for a certain pair to get together. Differences: - Bakuman is based around the idea of manga, whereas Hyouka is more about solving mysteries; and satisfying Chitanda's curiosity. - The art style is different, (if you liked free! check out Hyouka as well as done by same animators) - Oreki has a lazy and laid back attitude. "If I don't have to do it, I won't. If I have to do it, make it quick." Is his motto, whereas bakuman is more about goals, determination and rivals. (Although Hyouka does show some elements of rivalry). If you liked Bakuman I certainly recommend watching Hyouka (and if you've watched free! I'd recommend watching Hyouka too as one character reminds me of Nagisa).  read more 

A pair of boys with dreams and relatively thorough representations of failure and miscommunication. They both also show interpersonal problems that can show up pretty much anywhere. But at the end of the day, they're about youth and aspirations and can be relatively inspirational if seen at a low point in one's life. 

Teenagers learn how to become successful in the respective publishing and entertainment industries of Japan. 

Large focus on the individual characters' growth. 

Both animes, the protagonists have a goal to be achieved. Initially a part of them. As in Bakuman where akito aims to become a mangaka. try to encourage your friend'''' Moritaka. Thing we see also in Samurai Framenco 

In both anime the characters show a lot of development. In both anime the main characters go to school. In both anime the main characters are overcoming something. In both anime romance is a big factor. Super high rewatch value for both of the anime's. Once you start watching both anime you can't stop. 

Two boys team up to achieve a goal. Not to mention: the boys from either shows look quite similar (one is darker haired, other lighter haired and has glasses). Both series have a realistic setting. Since they share a familiar vibe in those regards maybe you will like Hoshiai no Sora if you liked Bakuman. However, Hoshiai no Sora setting happens in middle school and there's also more team members. 

Both share the fact that a chance only comes only once in a life time and grabbing that chance to achieve your dreams in life. 

Both share extremely high levels of bromance, beware! But no, really. They're both high quality watches. Both are typically realistic and show the beauty of failure and getting back up through the aid of others. Both are motivational and evoke MUCH emotion. To be honest, they're just great shounen and you must watch them if you haven't.
