Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e

I felt the same vibes. MC of both are observant of social life in school. Female MC of both are particularly loners for their own choosing. Only difference is Youkoso is more on moving up in the school ranks while Oregairu is focused on social relations between characters. 

These two anime are very similar in their basic structure; both feature an indifferent main character who get involved in various situations and are forced to use their keen intellect to solve them, only to pass the credit for doing so onto others. While originally opposed to social interaction, they grow closer to their classmates only to find out that there is more to them than what meets the eye. As they continue to pull strings from the shadows, they eventually find their motivations challenged, and become forced to make a decision about how to confront others about themselves. 

I just watched until now a few episodes and I can already tell that Youkoso is pretty- no, its very similary with Oregairu, why is that? -Both of them have a school setting. -Both the main characters gave you the same aura, I mean the way they think, act and even the way of talk. -Both of them are loners, more or less. -Both of the female main characters have that personality that they pretent to don't care about nothing but they really care. -Sexy & single teacher xD If you like one of them, you should really watch the other one. 

When I was watching the first ep of Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e I got the same pessemistic and loner vibe I got from Love Comedy. Difference being Love Comedy opened on Comedy while Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu struck with reality in the first episode. 

Both Have A Average Guy With A Mysterious Girl Both Also Have Other Similar Characters Both A Very Enjoyable To Watch Some Voice Actors Work On Both Of Those Series's (Mikako Komatsu, Nao Toyama And Satoshi Hino For An Example) And Both Have Good Music If You Like My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, I Recommend You To Watch Classroom Of The Elite 

similar main character both male and female ,youkoso is more mysterious and intense personally i enjoyed yahari more, both are great school animes !  

Same sort of monotone, calculated, realist views. 

Both protagonist has a dead fish eye's and cold blooded but willing to help people. 

The main characters are very similar, not so much in appearance, but in their personalities. The "dead" way of the male protagonist see the world, the unfriendly heroine, and the "normie" who wants to socialize with everyone. The school theme, along with the personalities, are very similar. If you liked Oregairu, you'll like YouJitsu. 

- Both MC's are loners and aren't sociable - Both MC possess good intellect and are able to solve problems 

Sushi x Sashimi, Sashimi x Sushi. One audience might ask where is the 'Nori' and the other will answer "No Nori, it served raw." I prefer the one with Nori but raw taste do hit differents.

Both of the anime have similiraties which is solving problem. The difference is Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e techonlogy is more advanced than Oregairu. Both of the anime problem is mostly like economic and debate, but Oregairu problem is also got romance in it, while on the on the other hand Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e is also got kind of game like problem. Also, Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e story is more darker than Oregairu, Because Oregairu got comedy and romance in it. You get almost the same feel, Main characters have the same personality.  

I think, the main chara in each anime has the same character or figure. For example: Hachiman and Kiyotaka, both are an ignorant and an anti-social. Yukino and Suzune, both are Kuudere, maybe? or Tsundere anti-social. Yui and Kikyou, both are cheerful. 

Both of these anime make you really think about reality, whats going on? Both Male MC Characters are some of the most realistic and amazing MC's I have ever seen. Both anime have interesting plot lines with unique characters. Classroom of the elite has 1 season, whereas SNAFU has 3, (the third is being released soon!) 

With protagonists running away from the clichés set in a problematic school environment, both works show a similar drama. Physical and psychological similarities can be observed both in the protagonist and in the adjuncts. Highly recommend both of the works! 

Some Oregairu feelinigs  

- there is a lot of character development in both - clever MCs but also with a rotten personality to the core - highschool setting that puts a lot of importance on the relationships around students - the mc and the heroine are kinda copy pasted, although the mcs have a MUCH different background they give a similar vibe Romance lacking in highschool of the elite, but besides that there are plenty of more similarities I can't give away without spoiling the characters 

Well if you watched oregairu or yahari ore no seishun love comedy wa machigatteiru, you immediately tell that the Main characters both Ayanokouji Kiyotaka and Horikita Suzunethe is similar to both hachiman and yukino from oregairu, personality wise. So does the other two who reminds me of hayato and yui.  

Serious guy and serious girl. Though two boy mc's in different anime don't have EXACT SAME personality, but it is very similar. It is sad that Youkoso doesn't have romance aspect. To overcome that sadness, you can watch this anime - Oregairu. It is a masterpiece that everyone in MAL probably know. 

Similar cast of characters, both MCs are very deadpan and unenthusiastic. 

Very similar trio of main characters Ayanokouji is very similar to Hachiman in the way that he gives a negative vibe and has those "delinquent" eyes but can also say things that are pretty smart. Horikita is very similar to Yukino in the way that they're very independent, smart, are slightly anti-social, have black hair and has some sort of interest with the male MC. Kushida is very similar to Yui in the way that they have similar colour hair, give off a very positive vibe due to their very nice nature, liked by everyone and are quite clumsy.  

Same personality and traits given, same tone, same vibe. Ayanokouji Kiyotaka the third Hikigaya Hachiman ( the second one was from Hyouka) Horikita Suzune is Yukino and Karuizawa Kei is Yui and Kushida Kikyou is Iroha Isshiki (she is from second season) 

When I first started watching this anime I immediately thought of Oregairu. They are both pretty similar to each other in terms on their school setting and main characters. Hachiman and Ayanokouji are both loners, observant, and they have that pessimistic vibe. Yukinoshita and Horikita aren't quite loners, but they're definitely anti-social and intelligent. Yui and Kikyou want to be friends with everyone, but they have some differences. Youkoso and Oregairu are definetly similar, and if you like either of them you'll probably enjoy the other. 

Both have quiet intellectual MCs who rarely show any emotion. The supporting cast in both shows is composed of two girls, one of them tsundere ice queen type and the other wholesome ignorant big breasted type. 

-Both series revolves around an anti-social introverted male lead -Both MC's are very smart and can solve situations easily even if it means sacrificing themselves to solve the situation -Both series has a similar female lead as both of them are quiet and reserved and also intelligent when it comes to studying -Both series have a hint of romance between the male and female lead -Both series feel very similar in concept and execution but are different enough to feel fresh 

In Both MC are unsocial.They start trying to help other and find themselves in a group.Slowly they build friendship and find their way of life. 

I think the first and foremost point is that Main characters in both the ainme's start as "Loner" and Common people which puts them under situations in which they are underestimated but when the time comes they outclass all the fellows around them and there gravity becomes more strong when they equal the characters who always stay in the spotlight. Second, I think in both the anime's as everyone must have noticed that the Main Character uses strategies to give there opponents the flavor of a crushing defeat and they are unable to understand what just hit them. Third, the female leads( althought side characters) have a strong personality and is usually someone like "Beauty with Brains" who underestimate the Male lead but when things are said and done;they fall for the person they despised the most. Fourth, The stage is set in High School which brings back good old memories and gives a nostalgic touch.But at the same time they remind of the changing times and society which has let to the change of Atmosphere even in schools and what students have to tackle in there daily lives. It gives there lives a sense of Respect for there daily struggles. Last but not the least, the characters are very different from your "regular characters" that you see in you daily anime. you might think Youkoso Jitsuryouko is a Oregairu rip off with the main trio in both series being a cheerful girl,a silent girl and a silent guy but thats just whats on the surface

Both the male leads look almost the same and have same sort of ideology. Both are loners and often ignored. Both are very intellectual. Both female leads also look like the same. They both are very cold towards the male lead in the start but towards the end they become good friends. Both of them also compare themselves to their elder sibling who are superior to them in skills and talent. In both the shows, the leads help others in different cases.  

Both have similar characters and almost same type of theme.

She has poor social skills, but above average intelligence and beauty to match her academic skills. Both anime have the same groups of students interacting with each other, the popular kids, the athletic kids, the smart kids. The two anime are of course distinctly different in terms of plot and overall story. However since both the anime are super unique, you'll most likely never find an anime almost equal to them, if that is what you are looking for. Classroom of the Elite and SNAFU probably share the most similarities. 1. Both of the anime take place in High School, not only as a setting but in terms of plot as well. That is, being in high school is very central to the whole story and would break apart if this was not the setting. SNAFU focuses on High School popularity hierarchy and the teenage mindset while Classroom of the Elite deals with a meritocratic society set in a High School. 2. Similarities in the thought processes in characters, in particular the two protagonists (Hachiman and Ayanakouji). Both of them, are to some extent pessimistic in their views (Not too sure about Ayanakouji) and have some pretty messed up ways of dealing with their typical issues- that is, way different from the norm. Just watch for main characters. Main characters better than I've seen in other school animes. Intelligent, quiet and alone inside. 

This one is very much similar. One will find many similarities between the characters of the two animes. 

They both have a very secluded protagonist and envolves school life. 

Socially awkward protagonists who start with being loners in their classroom at the beginning. Both the MCs might have poor social skills but possess high iq in terms of tactical analysis. The similarities ofc don't end here, both the main girls of the respective shows are "ice queens" who treat others like of little significance. Just like the MCs, both the girls have trouble in interacting socially and yet give excuses to not admit it wholeheartedly. Similarities exist among the side characters as well, including the highly active girl in all kinds of social circles, the main girl's respective older siblings who are regarded superior to them within their families, a cool teacher with some sort of unique connection with the MC (though the connections are entirely different), the popular kid of the class shown as the exaxt opposite of the MCs.  read more 

Both have a manipulating mc. High intelligent people who are learning how to fit within society 

Classroom of the Elite and Oregairu are anime with school theme. Protagonists from both anime are different in character, but both are smart loners who can't fully communicate well with others. Their methods of solving problems are different, but they both do it in non-traditional ways unlike average people. They often have reflections on various problems, which they usually do not share with others and remain only in their minds. Of course anime has various differerences. For example Classroom of the elite is drama while Oregairu is comedy with elements of drama. Hovewer I think that it's good recommendation. 

We have Genius main characters. The main characters and the relationships between them are similar. Viewpoints are slightly different from each other. "Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e" has a darker story, while "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru." comedy and romance. 

I watched the first episode of Classroom of the Elite and it reminded me of the MC of Oregairu (Hachiman). Both MC's have similar personalities. Not only the MC's but also the supporting characters give the same vibe. Eg: Horikita is lot more like Yukino in appearance as well as behavior. Both series focus on complex relationships among the characters. They delve into themes of social hierarchy, interpersonal conflicts, and the challenges of adolescence. 

The story tell about school life, drama, comedy, romance  

Both are deeply psychological animes that take place in a school setting. Both main characters are "loner" boys that have extreme levels of intelligence. They also have several girls who like them. The difference between oregairu and COTE is that COTE is more about "climbing the ranks" while oregairu is focused more on relationships with others. However, I got the same type of "vibe" when watching both of them. 

The main cast or the students of each series has to go through trails in their school lives. Due to circumstances that each student has, both of the students have to go through their school lives in extraordinary events to solve the mundane yet meaningful aspects in their lives. 

Both are set in a high school and revolve around a class which is looked down upon by the rest of the school, and the teamwork required by its students to achieve a goal.  

-same vibes (school setting with dark undertones) -lots of characters and similar anime character tropes -both classes are not-so-smart and are trying to get to the top  

- The main focus is pretty similliar. Which is a dishonorable class on a famous/top school. - One of the main character showed a similliar ambition. 

Both have that extremist school element to them as well as the higher class you are the more you get. Both of the mc's are similar but not in a way you would know at first glance. 

- japanese elite school - main cast is the "bad" class, where only students with problems are - both anime focus on the main characters (with their "hidden" personalities, pasts and relation to each other) - same director, same studio

Both settings are elite schools. Both schools have classes that are considered the best and the worst. "War" between classes. 

Both of the main story is centered to E- Class which is the lowest of the low in their school. The characters have similar personalities. They strive for being graduated from their school which it is not an easy task. 

Both are animes that leave you wanting more each episode. Even though the plot are different, both anime share a similarity of their class, 3-E (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu), 1-D (Youkoso Jitsuryoko Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu) achieving a goal. 3-E wanting to kill their teacher and 1-D wanting to reach class 1-A.  

The similarity between the two anime is that they both focus on Education related fields.Both take place in high school and make sure each and every character has a part in the plot. Both are enjoyable but due to the dynamic change of evens it keeps the audience glued to their seats and keeps on building the suspense even after the current events are over but carving a way for the future events to unfold.  

-Both MCs start in a disadvantageous situation and are discriminated against -Classmates play a big part in plot development -Revelations that keep you on your toes, lots of action in both 

Both have a similar circumstance and they have serious conflict for school genre. It makes these anime have a very intense character development. Also they have the same place setting, an elite school which makes more interesting to watch. 

both have similar styles and themes 

Anime that involves characters with somewhat similar personalities, both revolving around a school that has a ranking system. 

A classroom of "defective" students in which they have to overcome their problems to achieve the main goal.  

Both series have a similar school system with a hierarchy between the classes based on grades. They also both feature the individual strengths of many side characters. 

These two anime are about classes who have an hierarchy of best classes VS worst classes and the two of them is focusing on the worst class (Assassination Classroom : Class E / Classroom of the elite : Class D) The plot are different so you don't have the feeling that it's the literal same anime since the plot of one is to kill their professor and the other is to become Class A, but you can still find a lot of similarities. 

Well they both have classroom in the name............ Assassination classroom is a classic with one of the most well-done and heart-warming endings in shounen. Classroom of the elite is a more grounded show. It has a bad-ass, cold hearted MC. The whole school dynamic aside, Classroom of the elite is a great watch albeit not as refined as Assassination classroom. 

Both animes feature the school's "relegated" class and how the students overcome the bullying and discrimination of being part of it. 

Both have very similar art styles due to being made by the same studio. Very harsh school life, More specifically: Trash Class In assassination classroom 3-E is the worst possible class you could be in. It's the dumps. You get the "worst teachers", supplies, treatment etc. The same goes with Classroom of the Elite. For each year there are four classes: A,B,C,D. You strive to be in class A. You get horrible treatment, harsh rules and no help when you are in class D. The goal is to move up with your class to the next letter and then push the others down. A, B, and C have stepping stones. Class D needs to create their own. Classroom of the Elite follows the Freshmen of Class D. Or more specifically the mysterious Ayanokouji who is really smart and got exactly 50% on his entrance exams. It's very good a highly recommend. There is only one season, and it's unlikely that there will be another since it was mostly advertisement for the Light Novel. The light novel is really good, so after you watch the first season of the anime you should read that. Think it picks up at Volume 3 or 4.  read more 

Both are elite school that the class (ClassD and ClassE) can’t do whatever they want. Both are class that their degrees aren’t same with the other class. Both are the main character want to reach Class A.  

Ok so this is kinda a stretch but hey, ima make it. So both of these animes have classroom systems like (E in assclass and D in Elites) are rock bottom while A is the highest and most pressed. So our prtotags (In the bottom class) fight to change that. 

Youve just finished one school anime. This is the next to go to fill your empty heart.  

While this isn't quite similar in terms of the assassination and Korosensei and all that, CoTE reminded me a lot of Assassination Classroom when it came to the competitiveness between Class E and Class A. Both series feature a group of students stuck in the "bad" class, with both of them striving to overtake Class A. 

The sense of competition and killing nature in both are so similar and fun to watch. TRUST. You will love this one. 

Twisted classrooms where literal children battling to achieve impossible feats. 

Unique school setting with tasks and survival games included. Similar vibe. 

Like high stakes psychological battles? COTE's for you! 

Assassination Classroom and Classroom of the Elite have a similar power system, divided into classes, class D in Youkoso and class E in Ansatsu are the "junk" of the school, they are both school anime, with very intelligent characters, although Classroom of the Elite is relatively darker. 

School setting. Genius MCs. Dark stories. Intriguing Plot. Competition against other classes.  

The MCs are highschoolers with a really high iq who always manage to outsmart enemies in some way in order to get what they want.  

Both INTJ protagonists, if Vice likes a cold, objective and manipulative protagonist who would do anything for his objective, I recommend seeing this one. 

Both series consist of teenagers earning and losing copious amounts of money based on their choices. The MC's from both series are very similar as well, at first appearing to be average in just about every way until later revealing just how genius they are. 

One of those anime where the main character is too smart for the other characters, not because he is some kind of genius, because they are just stupid, anyways watching tomodachi game will probably leave you with a headache, so have fun!! 

I personally like high-stake psychologically challenging shows and how certain characters intellectually overpower others, so if you're into that you'll definitely like it. 

Durn its amazing. Both anime are amazing with a good & smart mc with unique idea's and different way of thinking. The story is VERY good on both show's with a big amount of mystery and twist's. If you happen like one of these show's you will 99% like the other one. The art-style is not the same, but it dose fit to the show as it is and i found it very attractive and well - made. But why is similar? Bc of the characters. That's about it. In both show's - the main storyline is about the characters, there for its very similar and enjoyable in the same way. So, to the point - if you like a mystery type story with amazing characters and amazing main character as well, you may like both of these shows. Note: you may wanna read Tomodachi Game manga, but do not try to read Classroom of the elite manga - read the light novel instead. read more

If you like Psychological types of anime then these two are a great choice, I will warn you that Tomodachi Game contains depictions of sexual assault or rape and may not be suitable for some people.  

Both MC's are manipulators, of course Ayanokoji is trying to not get any attention but because of his achievements and skills until now he is been slightly getting suspicious by many of his classmates. But in Tomodachi Game, Yuuichi is very much able to be a normal high school boy until he got dragged in this game. Definitely recommend this anime...  

If you like classroom of the elite...you will love tomodachi game and vice versa. I mean both are damn good mind bending anime, and also when you are watching tomodachi game at least watch 6 episodes that's my opinion....you will absolutely love it 

Watch this if you want another cold-hearted, over-powered protags. Both shows have different type of 'cruelty' though 

If you admire Classroom of the Elite for its psychological challenges and how the main protagonist, Ayanokogi, finds his way out of every problem, then you shouldn't skip this show. Tomodachi Game is not about the rivalries among the classes to gain the top position. Instead, the show revolves around the test of friendship among a group of friends. 

Both main characters are manipulative, both undergo a series of tests. Their personalities differ but their methods are similar. 

Lots of mind games getting played by the MC, You will constantly be wondering what tricks they will pull out to keep you on your toes the whole time you are watching.  

Both anime have the badass protagonist and the story is very much engaging. 

If you watched Classroom of the Elite because of Ayanokoji, then you probably will like Yūichi. 

Both have really cool moments, they make you want to watch everything in one go. Mind games at its best.

both animes have manipulative and intelligent characters but unlike classroom deatte 5-byou de battle it takes place in a more fantasy world and tomodachi game something more realistic but both are incredible works

On the other hand, Hyouka is more into puzzle and mystery that is mostly happening everyday

Both have a lot of mystery and MCs have huge brains. If you like school settings and good animation, Hyouka is a more slice of life version of Classroom of the Elite.

Classroom of the Elite is settled in a modern and technological youth life whereas Hyouka is settled in a combination of rural and urban youth life. What should be looked in both are the True MCs. They are both similar in many things. The philosophies, idealisms, and perspectives towards life and the confident reasonings and retaining of their self-image are similar (not the same) between the two. The similar things they both share cling onto simplicity but the difference is that all those similar things come from different influences where one is influenced by the serious competition of society (Classroom of the Elite) and the other is influenced by the mysteries and nature of life (Hyouka). read more

The Protagonist Is Incredibly Intelligent But Never Shows  

To start with, both animes have clean and awesome animation. The plot is kinda different but main protagonists in both are Laid-Back and hide their potential and abilities but are smart and kinda cool in their own ways. Both contain mysteries that will make your brain work harder. The only problem is that both are not completed. You can binge-watch both in a day or two.  

Both Anime are messing with your head with all the riddles and sh1t, only thing Hyouka has that classroom doesn't is Romance. and about the anime.. It's good with good plot and characterization and all. But if you are a veteran or they say a weeb as we call ourselves you find it good as you know you can get more good shonen anime. But it's definitely worth a watch.

Baka to Test and Classroom of the Elite have almost the same core concept, even in my eyes the main character looks similar in both series. However I consider Classroom of the Elite to be the more serious counterpart to Baka to Test. - Both MC's are in a hierarchy based school - Both MC's are in the "idiot" class with overall poor grades Personally it is worth watching both of them to compare, Baka to Test is one of my old favorites and is a nice comedy relief. 

-Both anime are about school with criterion the student results-inteligence -In both stories the people who have visible results reveive better treatment from both school and fellow students. 

Both stories shows classes competes with other classes. However, Baka to Test is more of Comedy than the other.  

Both have school element that test score has impact on class value However, Baka to Test has more comedy and romance element while Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e focused on psychological element 

Both have the same setting in a school where studying is absolute and those who don't make it were placed in a class for losers, also it have the same plot where the loser class have to prove their worth if they're to be taken seriously. 

The opposite sudden term of the most lowest rank section filled with bunch of worthless pricks or idiots for fun. Neither most of them are meaningless scumbags which points are wasted in every decay but the tense of humor and atmosphere are not the same. 

The characters in both of these series have to gain points to make their class become the best one, however Baka & Test focuses more on comedy and battles, while Classroom of the elite is more serious and has a psychological element.  

The main character in Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e kind of looks the same has the character Akahisa Yoshii in Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu.

A class in the bottom of the school's hierarchy has to fight against the other classes to go up in rank and gain benefits. The premises are taken in very different ways, and Baka to Test is basically just a SOL comedy, but they still feel similar. 

Both anime shows share the same setting where it's a school life with a high tech educational system. Classroom of the Elite's classroom assigning is based on merit while Baka and Test is based on test grades. The difference between the two is that Classroom of the Elite is a serious and intense one filled with philosophical and ideological thinking where as Baka and Test is simply the peak of male idiotism with the intent of showing you how funny it is. 

Has a school hierarchy that everyone has to play up to or suffer the consequences. Differences being; - Kakegurui is revolved around gambling - Classroom of the Elite revolves around having good grades to increase a person's finances and social standing. Both have rather more serious themes for their story lines.

Both are quite psychological anime. Both have main characters, who at the beginning of a conflict appears to be losing but towards the end pulls a stunt and changes the game to their advantage. Both have extremely intelligent main characters who wins go about overcoming the conflict at there own pace and using proper strategy. Both have a school setting, which has a hierarchy, in Kakegurui its how skilled you are in gambling. And last but not least, the uniforms are very similar. one of the differences that may stick out is, Classroom of the Elite has a lot of slice-of-life aspects to it, while in Kakegurui its almost conflict after conflict moving the story forward at all times. i hope you enjoy the anime like i did.  read more 

They are both based in schools and the main characters are both really smart. They are both also those kinds of mystery animes which show the results of what they did first then go back and show how they did it later.

Both the main character have a mystery appeal to them. Alone and always planning/ having something up their sleeves.  

Both include smart mc's and have social (Or gambling) games. Both are ok animes neither is a fave of mine. But if you liked one you will like the other. 

Both animes take place at a school with an inequal, disturbing hierarchy. Both main characters are 'masterminds' that are given all opportunities to win and who are too good for everyone, but are still on rock-bottom. Both protagonists are surrounded by other people who are just like them; intelligent and they have the ability to manipulate. This creates an interesting competition. Both animes have a similar structure; both are filled with strategic games that determine who will be seen as a king in their hierarchy. It's thrilling and has a good diversity. And most importantly; they both have banging fanservice. 

These two anime's have protagonists with higher intellectual capabilities than their peers, it focuses on how they handle their odd school life and how they go about attempting to rise in their school hierarchy  

Both centre around manipulation, analysis, and deceit. Both are in a school-setting that receives excessive funding from the government. 

Set in a strange high school for the gifted, these two anime tell the story of a morally grey main character as they confront their challenging highschools through wits manipulation tactics. At their core, these are power fantasies fueled plot twists and shallow themes that can somewhat work for watchers who are fans of the tropes. 

- Both settings take place in a school and the scandals and dark secrets revolving around the school - MC where they both have sides they hide from the rest of the classroom - Both an easy watch as they are a 1-cour show (Classroom of the Elite / 12 Ep l Talentless Nana / 13 Ep) I think one will really enjoy both series because the settings are relatively the same and the thrills it gives off are pretty darn exciting. This feeling of course might vary as I myself was sort of frustrated when watching Talentless Nana. Don't take my word for it though. Check it out for yourself! read more 

Both stories focus on Elite Classes, the two high schools are far from the outside world and are prohibited from contacting it. In both series there are psychological analyzes of the characters, and we have analytical, logical, observant characters and manipulative and intelligent characters. There are mysteries and other interesting and well planned things. Both works are similar in that sense. The main difference is that Munou na Nana has a supernatural setting and YouJitsu is a Slice of Life. 

both have the same style, namely having characters that have iq ++ intelligence and have upper and lower class elements, both of which have characters that take advantage of their side or friends 

Munou na Nana and Classroom of the Elite have a very similar tension of students engaged in high stakes battle of minds. Also, in both shows, the most intelligent character is masquerading as something that they are not in order to stay undercover, and it takes time to understand their motivations and backgrounds. 

A class apart overflowing with prodigies, the psychology has nothing to envy to Classoom of the élite, these two works deserve an equal treatment, a lot of thinking is required which left me in suspense every episode, their intentions are surprisingly similar but in the end completely opposite, our protagonists are wonderfully developed as well as the opening and ending which are beautiful.

The role of the personality facade is a major part of both Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e (Classroom of the Elite) and Grisaia no Kajitsu (The Fruit of Grisaia), with characters deliberately suppressing a side of them in favor of exaggerating other, possibly artificial personality traits. Cutthroat academic competition and cynical worldviews shape behaviors in Classroom of the Elite while complex backstories shape the characters of The Fruit of Grisaia. Classroom of the Elite's progression is primarily in the form of event-centered arcs as one would often expect from the competitive school setting while The Fruit of Grisaia's progression is more of a guided tour of the characters as one would often expect from a "harem" anime, only this time more serious and perhaps discomforting at times. The tone and intensity of Classroom of the Elite gets established comparatively early and its themes hold generally steady throughout, while Grisaia sets things up for a bit before the intensity starts cascading like a frenzied avalanche, with each character arc examining new themes. There's no "magic" in either series, but certain setups and events do get pretty outlandish at times. Watching Classroom of the Elite really reminded me of Grisaia. The MCs are very similar, and the main supporting characters/harem around the MCs are similar too. Even the themes resemble each other to a large extent, both revolve around the protagonist helping a bunch of girls with their respective issues, Grisaia to a larger extent than Classroom of the Elite. Parts of the storylines in both verge towards the ridiculous. They both have a relatively large amount of unnecessary fanservice, but nice animation and sound. Classroom of the Elite does the school aspect better and focusses on the environment more, but Grisaia has better developed characters and a more complex plot overall. Grisaia is also quite a bit more mature than Classroom of the Elite. Nonetheless, if you liked one, you might as well give the other a try. XD  read more 

Both give me the same; Ayanokoji seems like a copy of Yuuji, both seldom express their emotion, seemingly deadpanning almost all the time, both stories are based in an academy for "defective" people (class in Youkoso's case), the protags are deeply shrouded in mystery and they both seem to have had a rough childhood.. 

The most similar thing is THE MC Both mc's are mysterious Both have a back story Both are genius and badass And both mc always have a poker face which you can't read Plot is also similar and both anime hits you psycologicaly. 

main mcs are pretty similar both having an unknown past, an introverted personality and they both are badass both shows are harem (Grisaia is definitely a harem, cote is a harem too but debatable) harem is also similar (especially black haired girls) 

Both MCs have a dark past that made them who they are. And yes, obviously there are some girls that fall for the mc, but clearly not stated. I'd describe the MCs to be: - Highly Intelligent. - Extremely good at hand-to-hand combat. - Mysterious. - Merciless  

Cold, emotionless, overwhelmingly powerful MC who hides his power? Check, except Kouji is even better. Fan service? Check, except COTE's isn't nearly as distracting. MC who doesn't react to the harem? Check. High school full of insane people with tragic backstories? Check.  

Very similar main character. Emotionally detached, manipulative and helps his classmates.  

Protagonista Excelente/Excellent Protagonist 

Watch these if you love cool badass protagonists. If you liked one you'll definitely like the other. Both are adaptations of popular light novels. Similarities: 1. The setting of both anime is an elite high school in Japan. 2. The main characters are extremely similar. Both had a past full of hardship without any freedom which is one of the reason for their emotionless cool composed character. 3. Both MCs are highly skilled (both physically and mentally) but they hide their true abilities from others due to multiple reasons related to their past. They are also extremely humble for someone with such overwhelming abilities. 4. The story focuses on slowly revealing more info about our cool protagonists and the competition between other elite students. Differences: 1. The major difference b/w these is that Mahouka tells a Sci-Fi story that takes place in the year 2095 with Magic involved while the latter tells a normal story that takes place in a slightly weird elite high school. 2. Due to the above reason, Mahouka involves more action n physical/magical combat while the other focuses more on skilled deceptions and mind games. read more 

I'm surprised not many people make this recommendation. Its basically almost like the same series with the same premise, with almost the same MC. The Main Character is a student from a prestigious school, but unfortunately, they're assigned to the class that is meant for the worst student because of their bad entrance exam, either because a loophole in the entrance exam/purposefully failed. As the show progress, we realize that the main protagonist is actually secretly a genius. Both of their personality is almost completely the same: emotionally detached and cunning. Both of their origin story is pretty similar too, with quite a few differences. And the way the protagonist wins through an unorthodox, cunning way that showcases their geniuses is pretty similar too. While Mahouka is more about science-magic, Classroom of the Elite is about a power play between each class. I guarantee if you like Mahouka/Classroom of the Elite, you'll like the other too. For Classroom of the Elite viewer, you'll enjoy Mahouka, unless you're pretty disturbed my the mild-incest undertone Mahouka. read more 

i cant stress it enough as to how similar i feel the lead male characters for these two anime are. both are extremely intelligent and have everything going according to plan despite having little to no control over their own lives. they have ulterior motives to what other characters seem to think they have planned and in reality shed sweat and blood for something we all take for granted. both are very well done and left me wanting more seasons.

Both are elite schools and had a certain condition to achieve something, in this anime it would be to get 100,000 points every month but grades has to stay or be good and attendance too, in danganronpa it would be to leave the school but only one will leave (it not really clear but I will give spoilers if I go in dept in what that means). The only thing is Danganronpa has more mystery and also has murder (Great anime).

Both have a cold hearted main protagonist, and both are extremely intelligent (I will have to say that Light is much smarter from what is seen from the first season, but Kiyotaka aka the main protagonist from classroom of the elite is much more cold-blooded), and last they are both really good animes and both deserve a watch.

Tokuchi and Ayanokouji are similar.Both of them are really smart and they outsmart their enemies pretty easily.They also dont reveal their true intentions to other characters. money (in youkoso case points) play big part in the stories 

the theme is same "psychological thrillers" but to be honest, Ayanokouji is just Tokuchi baby version both main character is genius, full deceiving, controlling everything the goal itself pretty same, which is take the top for the promise that MC promised to side character 

Did you finish Classroom of the Elite and found yourself really liking Ayanokoji? Well, the main character in One Outs, Toua Tokuchi, is as similar as it gets. Coolheaded, ruthless, smart, has a perfect Pokerface, and controls everything in the palm of his hands; Ayanokoji and Tokuchi both have all of these traits. Tokuchi is the type of character that you can completely trust to do a satisfying uno-reverse in times of "crisis" for his/her allies, and leave the antagonist's mouth gaping wide open. As you are probably guessing, they are both psychological thrillers, fun ones that give a heck of a ride. If you are holding back because One Outs is a sports anime, then don't worry. Coming from a person that knows almost nothing about baseball, I had a great time binging this anime episode after episode. So give it a try! read more 

If you loved the characters in either of the show, you will love characters of the other show as well. Both are set in a highly competitive school and every character has a desire to rise to the top in both of these. They both offer a similar exciting atmosphere and the fear of losing 

If you like Food Wars you are going to love Classroom of the Elite and vise versa. Both are intense psychological animes with outrageously unrealistic school life to back them up. Both male main characters and their female counterparts are very similar.  

Both stories are, of course, set in high school but there's more than that. The main characters share experiences: making new friends in a brand new school, adventures to find a truth or build a relationship, and a good opening... Both shows also focus on a 'minority' group of students (geniuses? in Youkoso and kids w/powers in Charlotte). Also, I watched them each in 3 days... what am I doing with my life... 

Similarities: High-school setting Focused on the story plot but also sprinkled in some romance but the show is not entirely focused on the romantic development of the characters Part of the drama, romance, and supernatural genre 

It is similar on how the main character handles the problem on his life. 

both animes have manipulative and intelligent characters but unlike classroom deatte 5-byou de battle it takes place in a more fantasy world and tomodachi game something more realistic but both are incredible works 

Looking at the basis of the general story line, both have these similar key factors: -Futuristic School -Schools/Classes compete in "games" for their ranking However, as someone who thoroughly enjoyed Classroom of the Elite, watching Liar Liar is very funny to me. I don't want to spoil anything but when you watch Liar Liar after COTE, it feels like Im watching a parody version. While watching these two shows I came to realize how someone can be almost exactly the same while also being very, very different. TLDR; If you like COTE, you'll get a bit of a laugh out of Liar, Liar. 

Well... we know people love our main character in Oregairu this one is more chadder and more serious and school/class setting
