Both have the same girl to deity plot and the same scenario where the deity has to deal with other deities. The girl in one anime is a weakling, while the girl in the other anime can kick ass. The deity's job in one anime is to protect the girl, while the deity in the other anime wants to be famous because he isn't that popular.

Girl accidentally becomes a supernatural entity with guidance (and problems) from a sarcastic, argumentative (but sweet) godly-powered pretty teen, and tagged after by a sweet but slightly broken boy. 
Lots of purification rituals to ward off blights and miasmas, lots of toxic spirits stinking up the place; a lot of shared territory with KH.
Silliness + humour + action + hints of romance, and with a surprise darker twist beneath the fluffy surface in season 2 of both shows.

Both are about a girl who means a supernatural deity. Kamisama Hajimemashita reverses the roles, so that the girl is the god and the boy is like a "shinki." It's a bit more comedic, though, and more shoujo-y.

If you liked Noragami, then you should check out Kamisama Hajimashita, they both have some sort of Spiritual/Godlike/Demons theme, the main character of Kamisama, Nanami, deals with the daily struggles of being a Godlike figure with the help of Tomoe her familiar and Noragami relates to a regular teenage girl, Hiyori, who becomes a partial Spirit and deals with Yato a God, they both contain a lots of laughter and some romance

The main similarity is that they both involve Shrine gods but Kamisama is more into the romantic comedy type while Noragami is more into action and comedy (though I really hope the romance in the story would progress, that's why I'm planning to see the manga). The characters of both anime have dark pasts (that I shouldn't mention cause it's for you to find out. Don't know what to add anymore so.... Both the main characters are deities or "gods".
Both male protagonist have a more savage past. 
Both main characters try to become better gods, although in noragami  yato is a little more serious about being a huge god.
Both are romances, although the romance development is stronger in kamisama hajimemashita.

Similarities : 
1) Both Noragami and Kamisama Kiss main male characters have a very dark past.
2) Both male characters have supernatural powers and abilities. 
3) Both about Gods and has shrines and spirits.

But the stories have different pathways. how? 
1) Noragami has less romance and more action, thoughts and drama going on.
2) Noragami's main character, which is the God, doesn't have a shrine or a familiar.
3) Kamisama Kiss is more of a comedy-romance show felled with feelings. 
4) Each episode in Kamisama Kiss has a new story that may not relate a lot to the previous episode.

One can never go wrong with supernaturals, gods, and deities as part of an epic plot. Kamisama Hajimemashita is lighter and romance-centered than Noragami. But don't be deceived, Noragami has a fast-paced, interesting story line that will leave you gasping for air. That, or the fact that person who voiced Noragami's MC and Levi of Shingeki no Kyojin is the same.

Both are comedy shows about a normal teenage girl having to get involved with the gods. You can also learn a lot about Japanese culture from both of these shows. Both are also seriously funny.

"An ordinary girl gets in touch with the world of Kami&Ayakashi (or God&Spirits) by accident" makes a start for both stories. 
Both are mixture of Shounen Manga and Shoujo Manga. Although Kamisama is totally a romantic story adapted from Shoujo Manga, it also has complicated plots about the complex relationship between Kami and Ayakashi (mostly in Season 2). Noragami is the opposite (adaption of Shounen Manga but also contains romance).
What's more, we can know about Japanese culture while watching Noragami and Kamisama as both stories are based on Japanese traditional myths.

How can you not see the similarities between these two? Both have a girl getting involved with gods and spirits, both have great comedic moments but also serious moments.
If you liked Noragami and felt like it didn't have enough romance KH is for you.
If you liked KH but wanted more action Noragami is just your cup of tea.
I totally recommend both if you haven't watched them already.

Both are about gods and their familiars (in Kamisama) and shinkis (in Noragami). These "creatures" are related to the god and help him/her, live with them and have a strong relationship. Both animes relate a lot to this japanese culture about temples and shrines, which is pretty interesting if you want to learn more about the culture.

If you're a fan of godlike main character and supernatural stuff, than Noragami will sure be the one for you. But do not expect to see as much romance as it was in Kamisama Hajimemashita.

The main male protagonist has a dark past that they try to forget but that does not get into the way of the occasional goofiness. Both male protagonist are dieties or related to dieties. Cat(fox)-like features. Ends up slowly falling for the female protagonist. Will do anything to ensure female protagonist's safety.

The main female protagonist started off as a normal school girl, however due to an accident they have to deal with dieties. Although caught up with that life, they still go to school with two friends who have no idea what is happening. They also try to help out the male protagonist but usually end up as a burden. However they end up helping them in a way no one else could.

Other characters include another character who has a love hate relationship with male protagonist and also cares for female protagonist. As well as a character which holds a grudge against male protagonist but in a comedic way(only refers to second half of Noragami aragato). 2 bonus characters who stay with protagonists which help bring in comedy but are also needed in the plot. read more

Kamisama is extremely laughable, there are different fights than Noragami, but here we have gods, Noragami is somewhat more serious than me, but they are very similar. In Kamisama we have yokai, demons that can turn, like Tomoe, who is a fox. Look at it because it really is worth it.

both of these animes have several same genres,that is action, comedy, and supernatural. Kamisama Hajimemashita is focused on love story and the main character is an ordinary girl. while noragami is focused on action but with a little sweet romance between the main character which is a homeless god and an ordinary girl. the chemistry of love between the main character and the heroine is increasingly being formed with each episode

Noragami and Kamisama both involve gods and other creatures. Both are surprise fantasies where the main characters are in school and "fall in love" with a supernatural being. And both Kamisama and Noragami are fantastic Anime to watch.

They are very similar- in Kamisama Kiss Nanami becomes a god and has a familiar named Tomoe and a sort of romance develops between them, while in Noragami a girl gets sort of "cursed" and seeks help from an unpopular god. A romance also develops between them. They also have slightly similar side characters like Bishamonten to Kuruma or Mizuki to Yukine.

These are both similar because they involve a world involving familiars and gods. Both are comedies, and while Kamisama Hajimemashita focuses more on romance, Noragami also has hints of romance that might be enjoyed by Kamisama Hajimemashita fans. They also involve high stakes plotlines and putting the characters in dangerous situations.

Tbh, I think these two series are quite alike.

Both Inu x Boku SS and Kamisama Hajimemashita have several things in common. First, there's a normal high school girl who meets a not so normal main main protagonist. From there, she becomes the head of household. Furthermore, the main protagonist in both series serves her and they both have similar physical traits.

Both series contain a lot of comedy, drama, and hinted romance that is slow paced.

Both series also has a strong male cast.

Both series have a kitsune as the leading male character. Tomoe is much more badass than Soushi though. Story-wise, KH has a more concrete plot line than SS as SS is more of an episodic show.

There are so much similar elements in these series. Both have a main who is a white haired fox boy. They both have this 'gods and yokai in modern world but in a world of their own' setting. Both are funny and really enjoyable. If you enjoyed one, there is no way you wouldn't enjoy the other one too.

Both animes deal with a girl, due to certain circumstances, meeting a fox spirit and being in charge of him. The comedy and romance in both these series are similar, and the development between the characters. ;) And you can't forget the similar design of the 2 fox spirits/youkai. If you enjoyed one, you'll probably like the other ^^

Both of the main male characters have a fox spirit and are in charge of protecting the main female character. They're both Romances with a bit comedy, but still have some fights on the middle of it.

Both feature a very light humor that will keep you cracking up pretty much the whole time. Also, both male leads are fox-spirits that serve your young female lead, superficial perhaps but it had to be mentioned. Both also have the pretty, helpful male leads with the dark past who fall for their mistresses into a relationship that's not socially acceptable for various reasons. Honestly their cut from the same cloth, they have the same flavor and I think fancs of the one will like the other.

Inu x Boku ss and Kamisama Hajimemashita are similar because main characters are surrounded of spiritual beauty mystic creatures, correspondent of japanese asian folk. Also that Japanese style characterizes both series, both have the same feeling althoug Kamisama Hajimemashita have more comedy. Also we see a romance between the two main characters very sweet and tender. And the male protagonist also have cute ears. Very recommended.

Two main characters from both series are very similar. Ririchiyo and Nanami are mostly shy girls, but it happened that they meet a man bond to serve them. 
Also Tomoe and Miketsukami have similar appearance. They have different  characters, but both have that thing that made them cute. I'm sure that if you didn't have enough of one series, you should check the other one.

- Both animes are hysterical, and if you liked one you'll like the other.

First off, these two series consist of "demon characters" and both have a similar character with Tomoe and Miketsukami (both are demon foxes). 
The story Kamisama Hajimemashita follows a story of Nanami becoming a god and moving into a new home after her father walked away from her old home (causing her to become homeless). Eventually she meets up with the Land God, and he offers his home to her after leaving it for 20+ years. Nanami meets Tomoe, the servant and causes him to leave the shire. They eventually become friends and develop a bond between them, even though Tomoe doesn't like the human god (Nanami).

In Inu x Boku, we are introduced to a rich young girl known as ririchiyo. She was moved into a special condo after leaving her own home. When she first enters, she is bothered the the demon fox, Miketsukami, who says he is her servant. They eventually accept one another into the series, even though Ririchiyo does not with to be bothered by Miketsukami. read more

Both anime are slice of life comedies that gradually begin focusing on the budding romance between our two MCs - both high school girls who unintentionally become tangled in the lives of our gorgeous white haired (and eared and tailed) fox spirits. If you enjoyed one, you're sure to enjoy the other.

In both animes there's a master-servant relationship: who is a yokai fox and a girl who was left alone.
Even though the development of the characters and their romantic relationship are not really similars, I think you should try watching them.

these two have the same plot where the mcs gradually fall in love as each episode goes by. Both includes two white haired guys with the main purpose of serving and protecting their romantic interest. Although there are multiple comedic aspects that makes them entertaining to watch, they most certainly add some serious tone from time to time. These two are the classics that every romance enthusiast needs to watch.

Although the anime is a bit different, they have a lot of similar things. Both anime portray a lonely girl moving into a new place of residence. A handsome man with tail and magic is waiting there. At the beginning the girl shows dryness and indifference but with time she falls in love with a fox-like man. Anime also contain an element of servant and supernatural powers.

This is another surprise fiction with the main character as a student and falls in love with a supernatural being (She herself is also one). The manga is 10 times better than the anime version.

They same the boy is a fox like in inu x boku ss shoushi miketsukami is a fox and in kamisama hajimemashita tomoe is a fox too and they same to protect the girl like in inu x boku ss shoushi miketsukami is protecting ririchiyo shirakiin and in kamisama hajimemashita tomoe is protecting nanami momozono

It gives the same feeling that Inuyasha gives but doesn't take itself as seriously.  Although, Kamisama is more romance then Inuyasha.  If you like a bit of romance, give it a try.  I liked Kamisama better then Inuyasha.

Both series feature an at first, somewhat naive and helpless young school girl, who discovers powers she never knew she had.

She meets various Youkai and has adventures!

Inuyasha, is a Shounen with many action scenes and also some romcom, and Kami-Sama Hajimemashita is a romcom with some action scenes.

Both series heavily feature magical powers and 'Youkai'.

Kamisama Hajimemashita is a little like a new-age Inuyasha. Both main female protagonists are regular high school students before they find themselves immersed in a world of youkai. In both cases, the main male lead is a youkai (dog in Inuyasha, fox in Kamisama Hajimemashita) who was once in love with the female lead's previous form/predecessor, as well as both female leads having a key plot object inside of them. Both female leads can travel back and forth through time as well as having to solve problems created by the youkai. Both also include a slow-moving romance between the male and female lead, based largely at first on the two characters trying to get along. read more

Both stories feature a normal school girl who somehow gets involved with  demons. Both show a romance between this girl and the main male which is a demon (KH: a Kitsune-fox demon; Inuyasha: Hanyo- half demon).
Both male characters had a dark past and were in love with a human woman.

Inuyasha has  more action, drama etc. while KH shows a lot of funny moments. The KH anime doesn't show to much character development because it's really short (13 ep) but is still very enjoyable and easy to watch. It's more suited for girls of course, being a shoujo but if you are a guy who likes funny demon stories, you should give it a try! 
And if you watched KH and like the demon themed love stories, well, than you should watch Inuyasha! The story is really good, quite long, but that is the best thing about it. It has a lot more fighting scenes, dramatic and romantic moments than KH. read more

Even though Inuyasha is a shoonen anime and Kamisama Hajimemashita a shoojo anime there are a few things that they have in common, like:
• both heroines have magical powers.
• both heroines are in love with the male leads, who both so happens to be yookais (well in Inuyashas case half yookai) and have white hair.
• the male leads also always comes to the female protagonists rescue when they're in trouble, even though Nanami can handle some of her problems by herself!
• there seems to be the shadow of a past lover in the both animes, though Tomoe didn't remember his st first ...
• both male leads wanted to become humnas so they could be with their past lovers, which didn't end so well ...
• both female leads had a jewel inside them; Kagome, Shikon no tama and Nanami, Dragon King's eye.

There might be even more facts that makes Kamisama Hajimemashita and Inuyasha similiar, but these are all I can come up with now! :) read more

Both anime contain a theme of spiritual powers and both contain a plot based around an event that takes place at the start of the series. Also, both anime contain a bit of romance between a seemingly normal human girl and an unusual male lead.

In Kamisama Kiss, you will find it's similarities to Inuyasha as astounding. Basically, Kamisama Kiss is Inuyasha's  Shoujo counterpart.

Watching it is like watching inuyasha and maid sama! combined.
The main characters are very similar, Tomoe is a powerful demon who is bound - reluctantly - to serve and protect Nanami, a high school girl. The romance is funny, cute and heartbreaking at the same time, the storyline and the animation is superb.

My friend criticized me for comparing them, but when I first watched Kamisama it distinctly reminded me of Inuyasha.
A girl finds a hot demon(looks-wise) with a shady past and lands a new job by accident. She then somehow binds him to herself, and eventually falls for him despite his apparent rudeness(after all he's a jerk with a heart of gold). The demon also eventually comes to accept the girl, all the while protecting her through the...uh.. episodes.
The two shows also follow a monster-of-the-week format, with the girls becoming more and more adept in their new jobs(helping and killing respectively). The only difference is that Inuyasha is of the action/adventure genre and has a overarching plot line(big baddie) whereas Kamisama has a more slice of life feel to it with no endgame.
Oh! And both can also be considered to be a bit reverse harem-ish. read more

An ordinary girl is thrust into a new, supernatural world and has exciting adventures, along with a white-haired, animal-eared companion to bicker (and eventually fall in love) with. Nanami's Sacred Word Binding over Tomoe is a lot like the beads of subjugation, only more specific.

If you have a bit more romantic taste then I really recommend Kamisama Hajimemashita. If you want a bit more action then I recommend InuYasha. They both have an interesting plot and are very funny.

Similarities:
-The humor is very similar, and although I prefer Inuyasha of the two anime, I would have to say Kamisama made me laugh so much more. It is funnier than Inuyasha.
-In both animes there is a powerful demon/half-demon who is completely loyal to a human girl and ends up falling in love with her even though they think at first that she is unworthy and weak.
-In both animes the main guy has a darkside and a bad past
-In both animes the main girls have special powers that allow them to pierce/excercise miasma and rebuke demons

There are also many differences like the main genre of the anime and other key factors but out of all the animes I have watched, this has came the closest anime to be like InuYasha. read more

Kamisama Hajimemashita (kiss) and InuYasha are similar in many ways. 
1) both have independent leading MC females that kind of over then male MC characters. In InuYasha, the female MC can command the male MC to "sit" (pretty much to stop what he's doing and drop the the ground) The MC female in Kamisama Kiss (using easier name) is kind of the mistress of the MC male and he is her familiar. 
2) both MC males are both similar in style with their  white hair colored and them being both animal types(supernatural). Like MC male in InuYasha is a (half) dog demon and the MC in Kamisama Kiss is a fox demon/youkai
3) The male MC and the female MC's personalities are similar. The MC males are kind of similar in the regard of always rescuing the MC female. The MC males get jealous easily but try not to show it. They also are pretty prideful and have a big ego and they are very comical because of it. The females aren't that similar in my opinion but they both try to be independent and try to solve problems with what they got.
4) Kamisama Kiss is more of a romantic comedy and its great, follows the manga beautifully. InuYasha is more of a action tbh and their a LOOOONG wait for romance. Well you get little bit then nothing for like 20 episodes {exaggeration.....maybe :)} 
Really sorry for all the "MC female" "MC male" but if your really looking forward to watch either then please consider it. Both are wonderful depending if you want more action or more romcom. One is A LOT longer than the other but it's still good. There are quite a bit of filler episodes in InuYasha but Kamisama Kiss and InuYasha(besides fillers) kept me on my toes for more :) read more

They both mix in a very good way Demons and Romance, It's beginning is almost the same, there's this girl who has it's own life, suddenly, she got related to this demon who will have to guide her throughout some very difficult situations, in the end she'll become stronger.

Both have a fox boy (?) as the main male character. Although InuYasha has more action and Kamisama is more romance-oriented, they are similar. Both boys loved a girl intensely in the past but she is dead now (although tomoe is over it but Inuyasha is not).

There's a demon furry guy and a priestess. It's sort of like if you take Inuyasha and kagome's love story from Inuyasha, compress it into way fewer episodes but take it a few steps further. I like to think of Kamisama Kiss as the grown-up version of Inuyasha. I personally love both and I would recommend anyone who loves Inuyasha to give Kamisama Kiss a try.

fruit basket is about a girl who moves in house with guys that change into zodiac animals but its quite similar to this in humor and romance and also how both leading guys have a need to watch over them and protect them from harm and both girls are cute but a lil naive to the things happening around them.

Who else agree's this gives off a fruits basket remake with tohru ending up with yuki instead? Fruba centres a girl who was "offered a home" by  SEVERAL attractive boys with a dark secret of being zodiac animals. And like Nanami, she becomes involved, responsible, in a way she doesn't understand the dangers she's in.

Also about a homeless girl encountering some mythical beings. The atmosphere is very similar - sweet, bubbly and warm. The difference is, Nanami is more likable than Tohru in the sense that she isn't as 'stupid'.

both involve a young innocent girl loosing her home with nowhere else to go. The girls Tohru Honda and Nanami Momozono even look and act similar, but with nanami being a bit more out spoken. Similar characters like kyo and Tomoe care deeply for the main girl, bit have odd abrasive ways of showing it. All the boys in both shows have animials that correspond with them in a fantasy type of way. for Fruits basket it is with the zodiac and for Kamisama it is they are land gods. They have very similar romance stories focusing on one girl surrounded by interesting hot men. If you like one then you are likely to like the other! xoxo read more

Both of these series are reverse harem (male harem). The girl—Nanami in Kamisama H. and Tohru in Fruits Basket—has lost everything—family and home. They both have a chance to live with guys. Tohru is staying at Sohma's house with three guys. Nanami meets man who offers her a place to stay and she ends up living at the shrine with a guy. Both of them fall in love with cold-type guy who open their hearts to them.
Both anime are really cute and beautiful. There is no ecchi or soap opera.

In Kamisama Hajimemashita, it involves a dog-like demon, a snake demon and various other animals. In Fruits Basket, it involves the 12 animals of the zodiac. Both very funny <3

The Anime's characters are quite similar in their personalities and thoughts. The fact is that there is also a fantasy component making the anime's interesting. The differences between them is basically the characters actions or changes in a situation.

I'm not sure if it's because these anime share the same director, but they just *feel* so similar. Even Tohru and Nanami kinda look alike...

Ok, what do these anime actually have in common? Both are fantasy romance shoujo centered around a high school girl who goes to live with supernatural beings of the opposite sex after she loses her family. In addition, both have aspects of culture incorporated nicely (Furuba being the Chinese Zodiac and Kamisama being Japanese gods and shrines). Fruits Basket is more dramatic and has some darker themes. Kamisama Kiss is more episodic and has a lot more emphasis placed on the comedy, but it can be heavy when it wants to be. Thankfully, the core relationships in both anime actually grow and develop a lot more than most romance anime.  read more

Fruits basket and Kamisama are rather similar, it's intriguing. Both are about orphan girls, and have fantasy and shoujo elements. Kamisama is a bit shorter than Fruits Basket, but if you're wanting an anime that still feels like Fruits Basket with a bit of a twist, then Kamisama Hajimemashita is the anime for you.

Both are cute rom/com and supernatural elements. Naïve girl and protective guy/guys. Kyo like Tomoe was reluctant to live with the girl at first but came to like her. Both girls went through accidents  that lead them to live with the guys, their mom passing, and other things. I loved both so If you loved one you will love the other.

they have the same directors but both have very individual charms
-both have young women thrown into entirely new situations and new worlds where they have to learn their surroundings
-both have no family, either dead or abandoned. so they find love and support in the new people they have met
-great senses of humor, but has its serious parts as well
-both have amazing manga. i will say this, Fruits baskets story was cut off very early in the manga and is well worth the read! while kamisamas OVA's make up for the majority of the chapters and is quite honest to the original story

Fruits basket is another one with a surprise fantasy effect where the main character goes to school and falls in love with a supernatural being. (I recommended the original animation, but the rebooted version is good as well and follows the manga better.)

Kamisama Kiss and Fruits Basket have the same director, and as a result, have a similar feel to them. They even have a similar approach to comedy. Fruits Basket is a bit darker, though it is still a relatively happy series.

Both series begin with a homeless girl without any family being taken in by someone with supernatural powers. For Nanami, it was Mikage making her a god, and for Tohru, it was being accepted into the Sohma family house as a housekeeper. (The Sohmas are possessed by zodiac spirits.)

There are characters with animal elements in Kamisama Kiss, such as Kurama and Mizuki. Fruits Basket has a huge cast full of characters who can turn into animals. 

There are some character similarities. Nanami is very kind and tries to be helpful. She's a more fiery version of Tohru. Kyo and Tomoe are both more tsundere and struggle to be kind to others. 

Of course both of our heroines are surrounded by attractive male characters with a variety of relationships with her. (There are quite a few who are interested in the lead, though.)

Both the original Fruits Basket series and Kamisama Kiss are solid supernatural romance series with similar vibes. If you like one, you'll probably like the other. read more

It's one of those rom-com animes that when you finish watching isn't JUST a rom-com anime. In fruits basket, we got emotionally connected to all the characters because of the way all of them had generational family trauma and they all overcame it. Similary, kamisama hajimemashita also has a similar emotional touch to it (not gonna spoil it hehe)

Both are shoujo romance anime, that focus on mythology relating to gods and spirits. Kamisama Kiss focuses more on comedy than the drama and romance in Fruit's basket, but it is an anime with a similar atmosphere to Fruit's basket when it is lighthearted.

The aesthetic/feel of the show is pretty similar too, although the setting of Kamisama Hajimemashita doesn't have the school setting, slightly more fantasy elements, and is a bit less modern feeling.

Both good romance anime with comedy and fantasy elements, I honesty love them both so so much. 
-sweet main character, finds herself living in a place with characters who have some mystery and supernatural elements, comedy and romance ensues. Also both have to guys who argue to comedic affect, and the girl is the one who holds things together and helps both their hearts. 

- main difference is Kamisama Hajimemashita focuses on gods and shrines, with the main character newly obtaining the powers of a land god. That and Nanami is a little more stubborn than Tohru (Tooru?) is, normally to comedic effect. Both have big hearts though, and I must say I really do love both of them. read more

Both anime have a very similar atmosphere. They are both very lighthearted.

Both series also feature the supernatural and involves a high school girl who becomes homeless because of family situations.

I watched Kamisama Hajimemashita first and when I started watching Fruits Basket it reminded me a lot of KH. I bet KH was inspired by Fruits Basket. Kamisama Hajimemashita is also a super cute story minus the love triangle so that's a plus imo

They both have a similar atmosphere, with the first lead being slightly similar. If kamisama is associated with god, the fruit basket is associated with shio/zodiac. Both anime feature a broken female protagonist against a tragic background who meets and falls in love with a boy who is not allowed to fall in love with humans.

As both of these anime has the same genres is Shoujo but the reason why "Fruits Basket" and "Kamisama Hajimemashita" make the same thing is not only that but its content.
Both anime described the Male Character past story. 
Both anime has the main character gender is female. Tooru (Fruits Basket) is a cheerful and optimistic girl who always think about other people as the same as Nanami (Kami Hachi)
I guess the only difference between "Fruits Basket" and "Kami Hachi" is the romantic part. "Fruits basket" is kinda slow comparing to "Kami Hachi". Also, "Fruits Basket" actually doing very well when describing Tooru past.

Tomoe's appearance is quite similar to Usui's. But, the plot is based on spiritual powers, unlike in 'Kaichou wa Maid-sama' the plot if based on school-life. Either way, both of them are quite similar, with all the bubbly aura, and nice atmosphere at times. 

Nanami as a lost girl; she has no one to support her, just like Misaki has no one to support her. The appearance and personalities of both the characters are quite similar indeed. I can just say that if you have watched 'Kaichou wa Maid-sama' then you should also watch 'Kamisama Kiss'.

I have searched for a long time for a romantic anime as good as maid sama, but was unsuccesful till I found Kamisama Hajimemashita.
Nanami loses her home and forced to live in a shinto shrine with Tomoe, a powerful demon who now has to protect her, and he is not at all happy about it. In addition, Nanami also meets Mizuki and Kurama who both fall for her.

Both are about a poor, but kind girl facing great responsibilities, always saved by the cool and perfect guy (these are shoujo anime) when she is in trouble (very often). The two main characters acts cold towards each other but manage to create a strong bond between them.
Both shows contains a good dose of humour and never fail to entertain thanks to their rich scenario.

- Nanami and Misaki are both strong independent females that are experiencing hardships in life due to debts left behind by their fathers.
- Tomoe and Usui both have a charming/cool appearance. Although they're popular amongst females, they show no interest in them whatsoever. They're both inhumanly amazing at everything they do.
- Both are shoujos and very comedic. They throw in funny chibi drawings here and there & random little jokes/statements that will make you laugh.
- The characters are very likable. Usually I find most Shoujo characters annoying, but I took a liking to the protagonists in both animes.

Well yes there is no supernatural stuff in Maid-sama, but in Kami-sama there is. But still. I think Maid-sama is pretty unique (and ended - just like Kami-sama - way to early, when all the good stuff from the mange was about to happen)... I can only recommend Kami-sama if you liked Maidsama.
Why? Because of the relationship between our "future" couple. Misaki & Nanami are both strong and straight forward, the boys are always teasing her but also ALWAYS protecting her.
There is just a little god-demon stuff going on in Kami-sama ;)

Both series follow the tsundere-falls-in-love plot with great characters and funny and unique guys. You really start to root for the couple and it's fun following their ups and downs. They are both enjoyable and great series.

So how do I put this right and not too good to be true..? Well truth is, I fell in love with "Kaichou wa Maid Sama" and then I found "Kamisama hajimemashita".. The way Nanami and Tomoe build up their love is both intriguing and nerve wrecking at the same time! If you love romantic animes like I do, then it's a MUST WATCH!^^

Similarities between Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and Kamisama Hajimemashita:

★ Character Appearances: Both male leads are very charming and cute when they're upset, and also have that handsome and romantic look when they're serious as well. Both female protagonists are also very cute. 
★ Character Lives: Both female leads are very strong, brave, and independent who are also struggling trying to keep up their debts from their families at the same time. They also have a very important job that they have to do as well to keep on living in a good environment. 
★ Character Personalities: Both female leads have very similar personalities, and both male leads tend to tease the main female leads a lot. Both female leads' lives have also changed when they met their lover / love interest. Both male protagonists also tend to be protective of the female protagonist when they talk to other male characters, and they're always there for them when they are in need.
★ Genre: Both are very comedic, and has gentle and cute romantic scenes, adding that both animes are shoujo. 
★ Plot: Both animes go through many adventures and obstacles, and both couples ends with being married to each other (if you read the manga of Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and watch the full series of Kamisama Hajimemashita).

If you loved Usui and Misaki from Maid Sama, you are also sure to like Tomoe and Nanami from Kamisama Kiss, as both stories follow the lives of a cool handsome guy crossing paths with a fiery young girl. With aspects of the same high school romance feel as Maid Sama, Kamisama also has the added extra layer of a cast consisting of fun deity characters that only ad to the heart throbbing classic shoujo-esc love story between two very charming characters!

The romantic side is similar to where a stubborn high school student gets saved by a handsome man. It's not too cheesy but the scenes are still very cute. Even the troll forms are similar and a similar feel.

This show reminded me a lot of Maid-Sama. We have the Rom-Com atmosphere, but instead of a high school setting, we get a fantasy one which I think is all the better. Our main girl in Kamisama Kiss is much more soft-spoken and down to earth than Misaki, but I would argue that she is just as badass. Both of these anime are similar in the fact that girls are thrown into a world of youkai and must learn more about them to survive. They both have a fox demon as one of the main characters and both have some kind of contract with the main male character. 
The differences are that Nanami is high school age where as Aoi is college age. Also Aoi works at a restaurant in the demon world, while Nanami works as the new Land Goddess. Both have romance in them, but Kamisama Hajimemashita is focused around romance while Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi is more focused on Aoi's interactions with the other demons. (There is still romance in both.)

Both stories focus on a girl who is forced to live in the world of/with ayakashi or youkai. Both stories have romantic subplots, although the romance is more prominant in Kamisama kiss.

Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi is about a girl who gets to live with yokai and solve their everyday problems, just like in Kamisama Hajimemashita. (Other similiar anime are Fukigen na Mononokean, Natsume Yuujinchou, Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou and Gingitsune).

They have a cozy relaxed everyday feel and you can calm down to them without the need to follow any specific plot, they can be cute but with some serious reflecting and sad moments and they also gives you important insights, values and attitudes about life even though they might be a bit silly sometimes.

Similar theme of normal girl falling into the (Japanese) spirit world with hints of a reverse harem.

In this one she runs a shrine instead of an inn however the focus is on the different spirits she meets and romance.

Kamisama Hajimemashita starts off with an ayakashi/youkai taking MC to the other world and so does Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi. The both MCs are very strong and independent women that has lost their family when they were young. At first both animes shows how the couple does not like each other but later on, throughout the anime, it shows development in their relationships. Somehow, the ayakashi/youkai has connections with MC without MC even knowing that they had. Although the type of ayakashi/youkai is different in these two animes, they are both good looking. Both are very interesting and fun to watch, especially the storylines and the development in relationships are really good too. Also, their openings, songs, original soundtracks are indeed very fun to hear and very relaxing. Overall, I enjoyed wathching these two animes and because Kamisama Hajimemashita was the first one I've watched before I watched Kakuriyo no Yodomeshi, Kamisama Hajimemashita has always been my favorite youkai anime ever. But it adds two to my list. Kakuriyo no Yodomeshi is my second favorite. I definitely recommend you watching these two animes if you haven't!  read more

these animes have similar plots starting from the supernatural male lead who related to ordinary humans. both anime also have a female lead who is destined to enter into a contract. like Nanami's kamisama who was unwittingly contracted to become an earth God from Mikage and Aoi's kakuriyo who was contracted because of her grandfather's debt. these two anime are so much fun!

In both, normal girls somehow 'received' god power from a god. 
Though the plot in the 2 series go into different paths, become a god or remain as a human.
Nanami is 'bind' by her role as a land god but Inari is going into the direction so that she can control and live with the power as a human without becoming god.
Both contain their troubles with love and interaction with other gods.

Taking place in modern times, it takes on the romance genre and mixes it with fantasy elements involving a deity that comes in contact with a young girl. From there on, the characters' lives change forever as they get involved with supernatural beings they've never imagined before.

There is a certain degree of drama present in both series but also at the same time, scenarios of comedy. The female characters are compassionate toward others and are always ready to give a helping hand to those in need.

Both start out with a supernatural being meeting normal girl and giving her powers, although this is presented in a different way in both, with one departing after making arrangements for the heroine to have a place to stay, and the other remaining a source of comfort and guidance for the heroine. 

Both share themes of romance and fox-related (Inari) beings. Struggles faced with love are important parts of the story in both.

Both anime have female leads that are able to see and communicate with spirits.
They're both Shoujo, and have girls falling in love, quite often. Inari and Nanami are both given the ability to see and communicate with the other world. They are meant to help others with their problems. 
Nanami is given the official title of land god, while Inari is just a simple girl who made a wish.
Fox youkai are present in both.

Both animes are about yokai and humans living together and in kamisama they are granting wishs and in Otome they are helping people with problems that involve spirits. They are fairly similar and if you liked Kamisama Hajimemashita or Otome Youkai Zakuro then you will like the other.

They both include a romance between human (in KH, the human is female) and a fox demon (male in KH). In OYZ, the female lead struggles to come to terms with her feelings whereas in KH, the male lead struggles to come to terms with his feelings all while questioning and challenging the taboo of a relationship between demon and human. I would say that they have the same pace as they have the same number of episodes. I would also suggest that you read the manga because it goes into more details (however it is ongoing).

Both have very similar artwork.  They are both about yokai and humans coexisting, as well as spirits and shrines.  Kamisama is funnier and more lighthearted, but Otome Youkai Zakuro has a similar atmosphere.  They are both entertaining and have some romance, but Otome Youkai Zakuro has more violence and action.  It is extremely plot-driven, whereas Kamisama is more character driven.  Both are great animes with great plots, but Kamisama is much more shoujo.

They both have slow romances and are somewhat reverse harems.  They were also both very funny.  Although Ouran and Kamisama were about different things, they both focused on character and relationship building and growth.  They are both fun and light animes, both really great mangas too, with satisfying endings.  I liked Nanami (Kamisama) and Haruhi (Ouran) because neither of them were excessively girly.  Though they are different, they were both very strong female leads.

The main character in Kamisama is also a poor and has many guys after her. Both romance comedies. If you're anything like me and have always loved Fruits Basket and Ouran High Host Club and have spent time looking for something that invokes similar feelings,  this is the one!

Kamisama Kiss and Ouran High School Host Club are both shoujo animes. The main character in both animes have a lot it common. For example, at first they seem shy, and unsure of themselves, but they turn out to have strong personalities. Both Haruhi (Ouran High School Host Club) and Nanami (Kamisama Kiss) are surrounded by guys who care for them. 
In general, the way both series evolve is similar, and they both have an identical comedic tone. 
I loved both these anime series very much, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do !

If the reverse-harem style romance story exhibited in Ouran High was something that you really enjoyed, you'll likely appriciate Kamisama Kiss, where out of nowhere Nanami is forced to start working as a shrine maiden, a situation similar to our dear Haruhi and her poor luck with becoming employed as a host. However lucky for Nanami, there is a lovable cast of handsome deities that begin fawning over her, not unlike Haruhis' situation in the Host Club!

While Kamisama Kiss has much lighter tones than Akatsuki no Yona, the characters and messages are very similar, with the main characters being rather ditzy and non-chalant before entering a world of many responsabilities. However, while they are very similar, Akatsuki no Yona's romance is more of a sideplot as in Kamisama Kiss, the romance is a main plot.

★ Character Lives: Both female leads were strays at one point, meaning kicked out from their homes due to many reasons.

Kamisama Hajimemashita and Akatsuki no Yona are the two shoujo that shaped my childhood haha. They both have a mystical setting, strong female protagonists, an endearing cast, great openings, good comedy and more serious/dramatic moment that make you involved in the plot. I'm sure that if you watched one of them but haven't watched the other, it will automatically become your new favorite anime haha. So yeah be sure to give it a shot!

Though you can see very little similarities among the animes you can fetch little sparks of recognition in them. 

For example, one of the main characters are foxes. To the female main characters adds love-sick somewhat annoying stalker-ish persona.

Now the big difference or one of the many are: first, one is a teenager the other a kid. Second, one is a daity the other just got herself a new family. And the rest of them just adds up to the ones just named.

With a supernatural environment, our both white-haired main guys are fox spirits taking care of our main girl which in Kamisama Hajimemashita is a highschool girl and also a deity, and in Gugure! Kokkuri-san is a elementary school little girl who thinks she's a doll. While in Gugure! there's no romance, at least not between the main characters, in Kamisama there is. With a few differences, at least both have the same premise, the hot guys protecting the main girl, a lot of comedy, funny side characters and a slightly relaxing story to watch.

First of all , the main boy character is a fox . Both foxes that are EXTREMELY attractive . Second , there's competition between a fox and his rival; a snake and a dog . Kamisama Hajimemashita - Mizuki always comes between Tomoe and Nanami . Gugure Kokkuri-san - Inugami will always interrupt a sweet moment between Kokkuri and Kohina . I really liked both shows , you should give it a try .

I don't know why people think hiiro no kakera is a reverse harem, yes, there are many boys, but their feelings are not like this. Both involve a powerless heroine surrounded by guardians/familiars. The heroine always causes trouble and blames herself. In both the main hero  thinks that the heroine is clumsy and useless at the beginning. Both involve shrines, supernatural creatures, mages, even though they go to school.
both are interesting, and funny.

They're both alike with the main characters, a yokai and a human. A romance and a sci-fi genres.
In Kamisama Hajimemashita, a yokai became human's familiar. As time goes by, they both felll in love with each other beside the fact that a human and a yokai pair is a taboo.
The movie Hotarubi no Mori e is about the human boy who became a yokai/spirit and a human girl who was once lost in a mountain of gods. This is only 44minute anime film. The story revolves around how the yokai fell in love with the girl knowing that they couldn't be with each other and the fact that when the yokai touches a human, he disappears.

Kamisama Hajimemashita is still airing (but it's better to read the manga). read more

Nanami, like Shizuko attends high school.
She loses her home (because of her father's gaming debts), and forced to live in a shinto shrine which has a demon, Tomoe who is not at all happy being bound to protect her.
After Tomoe saves her life, she fells for him and admits her feelings but he refuses her, saying he'll never love a human girl. The romance is funny,cute and heratbreaking at the same time, the storyline is very good. There is also competition for her attention: along Tomoe we have Kurama, Mizuki and other hot bishounen boys with a crush on Nanami.

Both have the same warm shoujo feeling and have a historical element to it with kimonos and being in the countryside. Also both female leads are really optimistic high energy people who go out of their way to make sure to care for the stoney male lead. From what I've seen of Taishou Otome initally, it seems like Yuzu will accidentally build a (platonic?) harem from Tamahiko's broken family whereas Nanami also makes even her worst enemies into people who really love and respect her. Considering that Nanami and Yuzu's optimistic and nosey(i.e. they tend to butt into everyone's business someway or another) characteristics are really strong (borderline annoying), it doesn't take away from how enjoyable each show is. Great soft, low priority watch read more

Both are interesting stories of often demi-human supernatural creatures or species with veneers of romance and art. Naturally Kamisama Hajimemashita is more arc-drived and also het, while Konohana Kitan is more slice of life with development, but very lesbian.

Doesn´t make much sence at first, but hear me out. Comedy in kamisama hajimemashita and skip beat have the same vibe in it, i found it very similiar. Both female lead are strong, overcoming obstacles, and have real character development. Maybe, give it a try? :)

Both have supernatural fox/wolf creatures in it and have an element of romance between the two main characters. 
Both Holo and Tomoe (the fox/wolf creatures) refer to the other character as a child and explain that they are from different worlds. Holo and Tomoe are also kind of arrogant and sometimes tend to be a little mean to the other character-their love-interest.

The Differences:
While Kamisama Hajimemashita takes place in modern-day Japan, Spice and Wolf takes place in an older setting. Also, Kamisama Hajimemashita is comedy, while Spice and Wolf is more serious.

Its similar to Kamisama Hajimemashita cuz the girls are all alone at the begining, they become prestess, God's and similar. The story is somehow similar, but in YURI way :D 
Its CHINESE anime. So if u descriminate book by its cover, better dont watch it. I too love japanese animes cuz i understand them, but am giving chinese animes a chanse cuz they are GOOD.

Both are about a main female character who is of some great importance and everyone tries to kidnap or hurt them in some way. Both include more than one main male character. Both are under the shoujo genre.  Both are really good anime.

Differences
MC in Kamisama is a deity.
MC in Lollipop just has a magical item inside her.

Kamisama is more about supernatural powers
Lollipop is more about sorcery.

One is older and less popular.

A supernatural romantic comedy where a the FMC, a sweet girl with daddy issues, suddenly becomes a supernatural being and is taken in by and taken care of by the MMC, her future love interest. While both comedies, Sankarea is a lot more serious while Kamisama Hajimemashita is mostly lighthearted with a small amount of drama.

The cutest devils/spirits help out two clueless Misses in their daily tasks. [Sakuma is a part-timer in a detective-exorcist's office and Nanami is a newly appointed land Goddess.] 
Kamisama is more of a romance, while Azazel is naughtier, yet both are definitely comedies introducing the cutest little devils ever.

If you liked Kamisama Kiss, you might be the target audience for the show (AKA romance fangirls who squeal at the sight of their favorite characters). Similarly, if you liked Kiss Him, Not Me and need a new romance anime with hot guys to squeal at, Kamisama Kiss has no shortage of that.

both of them are a bit similar, kobayashi has a maid and nanami has a spirit that protects her.
kobayashi leans more to slice of life rather than romance. while kamisama hajimemashita leans more to romance than slice of life.

Yamada-kun and Kamisama are both romances and have a surprise fantasy to them. With Yamada-kun it is with the witches and abilities, and with Kamisama it is the gods and yokai. Both are very good and quick to watch.

Tohru and Nanami (the two main characters) are very similar. In Fruits Basket, Tohru was pretty much homeless, until she comes across Yuki, Shigure, and Kyo to find out that they have a curse where they turn into the Chinese zodiac basically. She was a normal girl all until that happened. 
Like Tohru, Nanami was homeless until she came across a Mikage who was a God. Mikage made Nanami a God, and gave her a place to stay. That's when Nanami comes across Tomoe and some spirits. 
I'm not the best at explaining but trust me, if you liked Fruits Basket, you'll definitely love Kamisama Hajimemashita.  read more

The similarity between these two shows lies in the genre and similar cast.  
The supernatural, semi-romance genre is very evident in both animes and if you enjoyed this in one show, you certainly will in the other as well!
In both series you will find lovable characters in the main female lead as a typical, semi-relatable schoolgirl which attracts the attention of (a) supernatural male lead(s).

Although the female lead in Kamisama Hajimemashita seems more ditsy and clumsy compared to the hard-working female lead in Saiunkoku Monogatari, both animes have a similar feeling where the female lead is surrounded by men who support and look out for her. The people around the female lead just want to see her grow and mature into a confident, strong woman.

And then, they became a god. Kamisama Kiss and Day I Became a God both follow two girls who become beings with a demigod-like status. In doing so, both these individuals use their power to aid those who are in need of it or for the greater good.

Kamisama Kiss does this with Nanami using her powers eradicating spirits and other evil, Day I Became a God does this with Hina using her knowledge to essentially cheat life.

Both are good comedic anime with Kamisama Kiss being more romantic than Day I Became a God's

romance and slice of life, this both series definetely my recommendation for these genre. when you feel tired with anime nowadays, try to watch this maybe some refreshment might change your feel. no drama, it perfectly fit for me because most of anime drama exaggerating the conflict. because of that you may feel annoyed with drama, and so many anime romance come with drama and then this is my recommendation about anime romance slice of life no drama.

Similarities: school life, girl being protected by a boy who falls for her. Both tomoe and shin are violent and wild, but they are gentle and protective toward their loved ones.
Differences: no supernatural elements in gokusen. (Maybe except fuji)

Nanami=Karin (little goddess school girl)
Tomoe=Kazune (Romantic Interest #1/devoted-yet-prickly/classmate)
Kuruma=Ren (black haired singer/classmate)
Mizuki=Micchi

Aside from having similar characters---no, that's about it.
Kamisama is of the shrine-girl/traditional japanese kami type, while kamichama is a magic-girl time paradox issue.

Nanami, like mei is a high school girl, with her own difficult circumstances. She is evicted from her house because of her father's gaming debts. Then she meets Mikage who let's her live in his shrine.
The romance is funny,cute and heratbreaking at the same time, the storyline is very good.
The difference is that Mey has one boyfriend, while in Kamisama Nanami is surronded by bishounen boys: Tomoe, Kurama, Mizuke and more...

The anime is simply hilarious(not the typical stupid humour)Both main female characters are quite different even opposite...but in a way they are similar as well as they eventually evolve in character and become even more admirable

Yokai and humans collide in these two urban fantasy anime. Both more on the slice of life side with bursts of humor and action, they also share similar elements, like Tengu and humans who become something more. Both great anime that could please a similar audience.

Both are very sweet shoujo stories, kind of naive but also indisputably charming, with some supernatural elements. Dynamic of main pairs - Livi/Nike and Tomoe/Nanami - is somehow similar. They love to bicker but it is more than obvious that they care about each other very deeply - the only difference is that in "Soredemo Sekai wa Ustukushii" romance is more direct and open, while in "Kamisama Hajimemashita" main characters are in pre-romance stage of their relationship. 
In the end both series give you the same warm and fuzy feeling in your chest and have similar "fairytale" atmosphere.

I originally watched poyopoyo before watching this and I loved nanami immediately: "her voice sounds so familiar and happy and it makes me feel happy" and it has been verified. 

The same voice actors does the main characters for both shows (no not the cat in poyopoyo, but for the very very lovable owner of the cat. she's just the pet-owner type person). 

A lot of people were sad about kamisama hajimemashita being only 13 episodes; there are 50 episodes of poyopoyo but they are a lot shorter, (but each episode packs so much action and script it feels like the episode was much longer than 2 minutes. the sustenance derived = full length episode). 

Both of these shows walk you into a cliche ("ahh...forbidden love and demons...cute cats...borrring") before its honest goodness just busts out all your smiles.  read more

Homeless because of their parent’s debt both main (Ayasaki Hayate-HNG & Momozono Nanami-KH) hero/heroine was forced out of their house, with a small stroke of luck they were taken in by a weird new home. New mysteries and comedy life both find themselves a new place to fit in. Both great series to watch!

Well, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is much more hilarious, and Kamisama Hajimemasjita is much more romantic, but I think someone is going to have the same  fun watching both of these!!!

Both has relations with Gods so they're supernatural. If you like watching Kamisama Hajimemashita / Kamisama Kiss because of the reverse harem, you'll definitely like Kamigami no Asobi. Both anime are also romance-comedy which means its they are both light-hearted and have humorous plotlines.

There is a distinct focus on the relationship between humans and demons/spirits, with art styles generally geared toward a female audience. Kamisama Hajimemashita has more of a shoujo romance feel to it, while Hakkenden has more of a 'bishounen deal with their problems' feel to it with a side order of shounen ai subtext (thankfully this is fairly lowkey enough for those not so interested in such things to gloss over).

tomoe and adam are total baddies. Kicking butts and taking names. nobunagun is more action pack and scifi with E holders while kamisama kiss is more a shoujo romance type. Both Tomoe and Adam have the same attitude with Nanami and Shio.  Dont care really. i loved them both and want second seasons for both.

Both endings are eerily similar.

In both anime the main characters possess powers or blood other demons wish to devour. They both have a fox deity who protects them from these demons and at times other deities. Both of these anime delve in Shinto and Japanese tradition & folklore. Although these series both contain romantic comedy, they differ in that Wagaya no Oinari-sama is a Shounen genre whereas Kamisama Hajimemashita is Shoujo.

The rules for the worlds these two anime exist in are very similar and they both focus on aspects of japanese mythology/ideology and are very detailed with japanese culture. Main characters (though in very different situations) both have demon familiars that were famous in the demon world and have tragedies in their pasts that drive how they behave. Both anime have strong themes that demons and humans can never be together that the main characters are determined to over come. They also share the theme of accepting people for who they are and no who they were or based on how society views them. If you watch both anime you'll find yourself hearing similar things repeated and I'm sure if the main character of tactics had been female instead of male the two would have had similar romance stories as well. (Actually if you want to read between the lines they kind of do anyway.) read more

Both anime series involve gods. 

Kamisama Hajimemashita is a story about a god who abandon his title and gives it to Nanami, making her a god. 
For Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, the god abandoned the world. Which made Ai, wanting to save the world that the god have abandoned. 

Both girls in the show are working hard to protect what they love and doing what they think they're supposed to do. Both plots are funny in a way but Kamisama Hajimemashita involves romance. Both anime is a must watch!
