Sankarea

Both series are about an offbeat high school boy and his supernatural girlfriend, with plot elements including attempts to better understand her unusual situation and dark past, their developing relationship, and her desire to be a normal girl. Sankarea is overall lighter in tone compared to Tasogare Otome, but they both have serious and dramatic moments in spades. 

Both anime are somewhat similar because the female MC's are not normal human being, the girl in sankarea is a zombie while in tasogare the girl is a ghost. Both anime are good and has a similar feeling when you watch it.  

Both have quite similar plot especially the unusual romance between a human and the dead.

Both deal with issues of death--although this show has a ghost and Sankarea has a zombie, the relationships they have with their respective main characters is pretty similar as well.

Both deal with romance between a human boy and a non human girl. Both have ecchi in them and you will likely find the story in each to be darker than what you might expect. 

Both series features the theme of the supernatural and undead as the main female protagonist bonds with the male protagonist after certain events. Both series contains a story that is mixed with drama, comedy, some ecchi, emotions, and romance. Both series has a similar feeling. 

Both Anime is about love after death, one is zombie and other one is ghost is kinda the same..... 

Pretty much the same "weird" romance, both have also some mystery to unfold and the characters are quite funny! 

Supernatural love interests the anime. With one being a zombie and the other being a ghost. Both have a above average main character, encountering a interesting girl. 

Both anime have an unusual coupling. In Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, its boy-ghost, while in Sankarea, the love interest is boy-zombie. They were both also released and ended around the same time. However, the animation styles are a little different but the main girl characters look similar. 

The story lines are both similar as well as the main girl character looks like each other. 

Both main heroines are of supernatural origin that want to enjoy the happiness of a normal life while the main male protagonists search for answers to their conditions.  

Both contain Romance between the living and the living dead. As well as helping each other out and looking out for each other in their day to day lives.

Similarities: + Romance stories about high school students, and the brought-back-to-life female lead + Similar mixes of comedy, drama, and a little horror Differences: - The girl in Amnesia is a ghost who can only be seen by a few people while in Sankarea the girl is a zombie - Amnesia has much more of a school setting and a much bleaker atmosphere while Sankarea takes place in more places and has more fanservice 

Both anime are about a main character falling in love with a girl that is deceased/undead/dead/whatever you may call it. 

Getting an undead girl friend and helping them with their undead problems. Nice drama and romance for each of them. Both get pretty dark at some point. In Dusk Maiden the girl starts just teasing the few people who can see her and discovering how she died, why she hasn't moved on, and discovering her dark side which keeps her here. In Sankarea it quickly gets to why the girl wants to die and become a zombie, the rest being dealing with a person stuck inside a corpse and can't be shown off too much. 

I first watch Sankarea and loved it till the last moment, later I found Tasogare Otome x Amnesia and went into it thinking it would be almost as good as Sankarea. It did not disappoint me with how it turned out. Personal score: Sankarea 10/10 Tasogare Otome x Amnesia 9/10 Sankarea and Tasogare Otome x Amnesia involve a girl that has died. The comedy is funny and will make you laugh through episodes. Very different romance anime. Sankarea is a very unique anime that you will probably wont see anything close it to. Its kind of a love story about some regular guy and supernatural long black haired bishoujo with a nice art and good storyline 

Both shows revolve around a romance where one character is no longer of the living. Dusk Maiden of Amnesia (Tasogare Otome x Amnesia) follows a boy who falls in love with a ghost while Sankarea is about a boy who's love interest becomes a zombie. Tasogare Otome has the darker atmosphere of the two shows, while Sankarea has a much brighter look. Tasogare Otome has more of the ghost story feel where Sankarea is more a love story. 

Dark theme.Both main characters aren't normal girl.Ghost and Zombie. 

Both follow a blooming romance between a regular human and a supernatural being (zombie in Sankarea, ghost in Tasogare) and the hardships that come with a relationship like this. They are both comedic, dramatic, and romantic, however Tasogare does have themes of horror involved as well, while Sankarea is on the lighter side. 

1. Both MC fall in love with non-human entity. 2.Both are horror anime with no element of Horror . 

These anime are extremely similar as they are both focused on a main character helping a 'dead' girl to adjust and face their demons. Amnesia seemed a bit darker than Sankarea to me and deals with a more mental issue. 

They are really similar in the fact that both of them include romance but with a ghost and a zombie  

The series has similar main female leads, with long black hair and supernatural backgrounds. A boy will help them and likes them. Dusk Maiden of Amnesia really does have good animation, a bit of horror with comedy and it's interesting to figure out her mysterious past.

If you liked Tasogare Otome x Amnesia there is a good chance that you may like Sankarea. -The mc is atracted to occult(In Tasogare Otome x Amnesia the mc is intrested in ghosts,in Sankarea in zombies) -Both anime are about loving something different,non-human -Tasogare Otome x Amnesia has a more tragic ending than Sankarea and the relantionship between the mc and the undead girl(ghost/zombie) advances more. P.S:I'm bad at writing recommandations 

In death, they found a reason to live. Both shows have the same aura in the way they portray the afterlife. Sankarea has a pleasantly morbid narration and Tasogare Otome is a story of inner conflict, yet both take a similar approach to how they allow the characters to grow. A thoughtful and mellow watch. 

If you enjoyed sankarea then you will enjoy this one to and the other way around. -Caring for a dead girl -light horror -tragic past -forbidden romance 

Both animes are about love story between a human and a "dead" and both "dead girls" have an strange story. The animes also have awesome mysteries. 

Both series are soooo~ similar where the only differents are the MC's female, one of them is a ghost while the other is a zombie Totally recommend if you're an avid horror fan but don't expect anything highly :D 

It's a good romance that's actually technically necrophilia, but we don't talk about that. Tasogare Otome x Amnesia was one of the first anime I've really had to binge watch because I was enveloped in the story, and while it turns darker than Sankarea further on, they're still both enjoyable romances that are technically necrophilia 

MC's both deal with the supernatural quite well and it makes sense considering their outsider status. The main females are both beautiful and strange, giving the romance plots similar feels despite the stories and themes of the shows being quite different. Both shows have ecchi elements but in a more sexy and mature way (esp in Monogatari's case) than most anime can manage to pull off. 

My goodness its hard to believe that studio deen made such a nice looking anime (sankarea) that it almost look like Shaft made it (people who made bakemonogatari). The animation is so alike with bakemonogatari being more uppaced with its scene changes and being a bit more unconventional but this show to (Sankarea) looks like it has alot in store for us. 

The main characters are somewhat similar in personality. The style of the show is also quite similar, although Bakemonogatari has a serious plot with comedy spread throughout, whilst Sankarea has a serious plot in the beginning and comedy at the end. 

Both has that same atmosphere where they talk about some awesome stuff that I can't describe very well with an awesome music in the background . Watch first few episodes of both , you will feel the same way . Also the artwork . 

These to anime have a very similar pace and atmosphere. They both deal with the supernatural, and helping the main love interest with a sort of supernatural ailment. The artwork is similar in both. Also, the main characters are similar in the way they talk, and in their random perversion. 

Characters deal with the supernatural with a similar atmosphere and artstyles, featuring fanservicy shots. Dissimilarities One has a focused straight normal relationship, while the other is pretty much "harem", think about that. Bakemonogatari doesn't show nudity like Sankarea's level, but the latter shows 25% less fanservice in quantity. Bakemonogatari mostly focuses on "arrebations" and vampires. Sankarea instead makes it's direction into zombies. There's a mystery involving on each character on Bakemonogatari compared to just one in Sankarea. 

That's a little...troublesome. Both main characters develop a relationship with quite the troubled weirdo, both their relationships are involved with rather intriguing supernatural phenomenons, too. 

They both have the same goofy comedy but yet serious moments. Although, the romance in these are not the same, i believe the obsessions are. The two main characters show similar traits and i felt like i was watching almost the same thing as Blood Lad. The women in these shows are similar as well as being shy and clueless, but independent in a way you can't oversee. Overall, the comedy is way to similar too miss, in my opinion. 

After watching both, I was able to conclude that these two anime had a lot in common, even more so then some of the other recommendations for these shows (considering I've watched a good portion of them). I especially found that the characters are fairly similar, Staz and Chihiro are similar in the sense that they are both otaku's and have a love for women that are outside of their respective species. Those species being zombies (although technically just un-dead humans; in Chihiro's case) and humans (in Staz's case). Although Staz has powers and Chihiro doesn't, I still felt they shared several similarities.Then there's the love interests which both happen to be kind-hearted, blue eyed black haired high school girls. They both become something other than what they started off as (which was human), and both seem to have this ditzy and kind personality.And then, there's the non-love interests , which are ironically very similar appearance wise (blonde, green eyes, with large breasts) as they are personality wise; loud, bossy and pushy. They also both share an unrequited love for the main protagonist. All-in-all these shows both have a slowly progressing romance, comedy, and a supernatural aspect. Although Sankarea is more focused on drama with little action, while Blood Lad tends to have more action/fighting scenes as, they are still pretty similar besides that. I'd recommend this especially if you were a fan of the characters of Sankarea, which is the area I find these two anime to be the most similar in. read more 

Blood lad is about vampire, with some actions and comedies. if in sankarea the normal(human being) one is MC(guy), but in blood lad, its heroine. both are quite samiliar, like running away from family.  

Both anime felt as if the main girl was entering a new world (very true in Blood Lad) and having to go through a huge change which they then had to deal with. Blood Lad is more humorous and has more action though.

Male otaku protagonist meets the girl of his dreams (or so he thinks). Something goes terribly wrong, and now the pairs must figure out how to deal with this new state of being. The protagonists of these series feel like they could have been twins, really. The shows have similar vibes, themes, deal with darker subject and have a nice take on humor as well. They feel similar, but different enough in their execution and story that I'd recommend not skipping out on either one! 

If you like the kinda idea where the main character is a human looking zombie then you should check out Sankarea, Sankarea is the same in a way but is way better........... 

Both shows have protagonist that are zombies, and try to act human. Both have similar genres. One episode can be comedic, while another episode can be tragic and emotional. Ecchi greatness

Both deal with one of the MC's becoming a zombie and dealing with life. Is this a Zombie is more action based while Sankarea is more life based. Both have at least a bit of romance in it while Sankarea focuses on it more. 

Sankarea and Highschool of the Dead are both zombie fanservice. Enough said. 

Both about zombies and contain a lot of ecchi moments. The blood amount on both is large but not in a very horrid way :) Also on both the male protagonist is loved by more then one female. 

It's a zombie show with some fan service. Sankaera is more emotional but it gives off the same vibe. 

Both anime deal with characters who have very serious emotional problems and both anime are very emotionally challenging and will give you a lot of emotion, ranging from happy to sad. 

Love between cousins and a non-human suitor. Sankarea's a comedy, Elfen Lied's a tragedy. 

The female cousins in both shows have romantic feelings for the male protagonist. The male protagonists in both shows saved/brought a girl home and most likely has romantic feelings for that girl. Both girls in both shows are super strong. 

both is very good anime where the main protagonist deal with some supernatural stuff. and a lot of trivia romance  

Sankarea surprised me with the art style. It was very surreal and cinematic and immediately reminded me of a Shaft show. 

In both, the main hero meets girl(s) who has something to do with suppernatural. Both anime involve comedy and romance as well as fanservice. 

ZOMBIE!!! but sankarea isn't action .... but there's zombie in both :P 

The undead theme are central theme that drives both series. Both anime(s) contain comedy, action (less in Sankarea), and drama.  

Both are about zombie-girls, how they confront tragedy and death and continue to self-actualize, even in "death".  

Same strange boy/girl relationship with many misunderstood mysteries to be solved. same art style and performance. no blood and gore, but zombies!  

After being killed, both series involves the main character being bought back to life with a second chance although in undead fashion. Corpse Princess seems to be a bit more serious with a direct storyline while Sankarea is a bit more lighthearted with comedy. Expect drama, romance, and fantasy in both of these series. 

How does one fight against death? Does one just give up living? Also, what is the meaning of freedom. Both of the main female characters have a dark family secret in these Gothic tales.

This two are very similar in its way of presenting a tasteful romantic comedy. Both shows deal with the main character having romantic feelings for a supernatural being. Also, they similar in the sense that both shows also deal with a love-triangle along with their childhood friends. 

Undead girls in both, at times very similar atmosphere, although Shiki is more serious.
