I felt like I was dropped right into the middle of the story. I didn't understand what was going on and the first sex scene was pathetic. He just straight out tells the other guy that he's going to rape him for like no reason. The characters were cliche and boring. I just couldn't make it through any more. I seriously doubt it ever gets better and while sometimes I'm willing to try to and make it through I wasn't willing in this case.

The art was very pretty. The story was decent and probably would have been pretty good if anything had been resolved. Instead it ends on a pretty big cliffhanger and only resolves the relationship between the two main characters and leaves everything else unresolved. The uke was pretty annoying but all the other characters were decent. Overall, this manga was just decent, not great.

I can't say I cared much for the first story. It felt awkward and forced. The continuation chapter for the first story was a bit better but I still didn't care for the characters much. The uke was very weak and girly and the seme was, dare I say it, too stoic. I mean, I like stoic semes but this uke and seme were just a bad match. Angel Dust is a cute story with great characters and beautiful artwork. Unfortunately the story, while a great concept, suffers greatly from a lack of pacing. The story is just too rushed and felt incomplete. I've had a lot of series where I felt they dragged on for far too long and stories where I was left wanting more because it was just so good but in this case I felt like Angel Dust needed more substance introduced over a longer period of time. I did enjoy this yaoi novel very much but I know it's definitely not for everyone. For as many things as this novel has going for it it also has several things detracting for it. The first thing I would mention that I don't necessarily consider a negative is that I wouldn't exactly venture to call this novel very romantic. It was mostly a very silly romcom. I enjoy those sorts of things though but I know that not everyone does. Now to move on to the more negative factors.
