Wasn't intending to write this, and I don't intend on developing my thoughts because it will take forever to explain for one, and also because I am not fluent to not butcher the review of one of the best shows ever made. And I did weight my words there.
The show is by no means perfect, that is for certain, but there has never been a show that can perfectly replicate all aspects of real life. Heck, if real life was a show, you can still find imperfections, hence why I consider SnK to be one of the best without it being perfect.

the balance between all the elements that compose the story (character development, action, politics...). And sure if you look at each element individually (ie: politics) you can find a better story that develops it. What SnK tried to achieve by incorporating so many elements/topics/themes is something that is rarely even attempted, and when it is, it is butchered more often than not. And in this case, with the knowledge that there is no such thing as perfection, I would argue that SnK was not butchered at all. I proudly consider it one of the best shows ever made. I wouldn't say that SnK is a mature story for adults but it has things that would be appreciated more by adults, and it is more graphically violent than the vast majority of anime to be honest, and for me that is a plus.
Could it be better than it is? Yes!
Did it provide closure to all the character arcs? No!
Did it explain everything? No!
Does it do politics (or anything else for that matter) like real life? No!
Was the ending satisfying? Depends on who you ask but for me it would be yes and a lot of buts.
And I am saying this as an older anime fan that rarely liked any modern shows, be it anime or real life shows. So much so in fact that I catch myself giving a 7-8 to shows that were hardly likeable just because they have an OST to my likings and a couple of good action scenes even if the show itself failed at everything else.

This is the short version, a summary of sorts:
As Romani Said "this was a lost battle to begin with.", Solomon focuses on the action rather than the story (though it had it's emotional moments), but the action involved a lot of character each with their own established VA which wouldn't have been cheap or cost effective to bring them all to record a line or 2, they also had their unique noble phantasms. So making a good adaptation wasn't possible in the first place for monetary reasons. They still tried to make it as close as they could to the source material, but the result

wasn't great, far from it.
The long version:
Story:
There isn't much in terms of story, even in the source material, this is the climax, this is where Chaldea finally meets the the final boss, this is where all the previous stories converge. As such, there wasn't much to be told, most of what we needed to know about this singularity have already been mentioned in the previous singularities.
With that said, they did make some changes to it, mostly removed scenes, but that is to be expected, there is the issue of voice actors which I will talk about in more details later, but they are also constrained by the movie format, if they included everything, it would have been way longer than this.
Art:
I am conflicted about this; on the one hand, the general art is easily a 9/10, it is similar to the art style of the Camelot movie and Babylonia.
On the other hand it didn't always deliver, it was the most noticeable for me on the noble phantasms(NP), they were mostly simplified and rushed (e.g. Mash's Lord Camelot, the walls materialized from an angle, then they didn't bother to remake them from another angle)
Realistically, there wasn't much they could have done to improve this, at least not with the direction they took for this movie. There were a lot of servants, each with their own unique noble phantasms, it would cost more than they can afford to make a visually appealing NP for each and every single servant that used their NP in this movie.
A better alternative IMO would be to remove even more servants than they did, down to just a few, maybe down to 1 from each singularity and give them better visuals and an actual voice. But that will undoubtedly make people unhappy if their favorite servant didn't make it.
Music:
Nothing to hate about it, we had a great sound track, some of which came from the game, and I don't think any of them felt out of place. In fact I would say that they were perfectly placed, they had even more meaning to them for those who played the game.
Sound effects:
Well... there wasn't really much sound effects to begin with and the ones that we got were generic SFX altered a little bit, at least that's how they felt to me. A laser beam, an ambulance siren for chaldea's emergency alarm and an explosion sound. Those are the only ones I can think of from the top of my head.
Voice acting (VA):
Oh boy! To start with the good as there is much less to say on it: It was great as always, BUT just for the following characters: Mash, Fujimaru, Da Vinci, Romani, Goetia/Solomon, Jeanne D'Arc and Gilgamesh. Even the unnamed chaldea staff had great VA.
Orion aside the rest of the characters fell into one of 2 categories:
The mute: this is where most of the servants are, they are just mute, not even a grunt.
The recycled: those used their voice lines from the game, I imagine this wasn't really the case but that is what it looked like, some lines didn't even fit in the moment.
Then there is Orion, I would prefer if they recycled his voices or made him mute altogether, they gave him a hamster squeak for a voice.
I mean, bringing in famous voice actors to record a line or 2 for each servant is clearly not a smart move so can't really blame them for going down that route. Still it must be said.
Characters:
As said above, Solomon isn't about the story so there is nothing much to say here either, I will use it to rant about general things instead.
*Spoilers below for those who haven't seen the movie and didn't play through Solomon*
If you ask FGO players about their most memorable scenes, there are a lot of memorable moments in the game but most would place Mash's demise high up in the list, and for a lot of them, it remains by far the saddest scene in the game. In the movie it looks like they chose to make her death less impactful for the viewer, the whole events leading to the scene were mediocre at best. we got a rushed Ars Almadel Salomonis followed by the aforementioned Lord Camelot and an Ars Nova that didn't even look like a NP as the cherry on top.
Enjoyment:
This is a movie made for FGO fans, but I wouldn't even recommend it to an FGO fan, there wasn't much to love about it. In a movie that is less about the story and more about the action they failed to deliver on both ends.
Overall:
I gave it a 5 not because it deserves it but because I am biased, I really love FGO.

I am kind of busy lately so I can't really afford to follow the unspoken rule of 3 episodes before deciding with every show this season so I exceptionally checked reviews before watching the shows this season, the top reviews almost convinced me to not watch this season, but thank god I didn't trust them.
Story:
if you are unfamiliar with SAO then you should really not start SAO with Alicization, if you are, well there is nothing to add to the synopsis without spoiling. It is a story in a fantasy virtual world which is what you would expect from SAO, this time it looks like
...
Kirito has to risk his life again to protect the virtual world and its population.
Art:
It is not something unique, but it is gorgeous. thus the 9/10 and not a perfect 10.
Sound:
can't wait for the official release of SAO Alicization OST. great OST implemented perfectly, nothing to complain about here.
Character:
While Kirito did not change much compared to previous seasons, his companion, Eugeo, has gone through a lot of development, the other named characters are all unique and interesting. Some has just had a portion of their generic backstory shared to justify their actions which is better than nothing indeed but does not suffice.
characters are not outstanding as some other shows but good enough to not make the show enjoyable.
enjoyment:
a perfect 10, started the show when there were about 12 episodes aired and I caught up the next day, fight scenes are not long but smoothly animated to make you enjoy every second of it, the OST as I already said is great (including in battle scenes), the rest of the time is spent explaining important things, developing the characters and building up for later events/revelations.
overall:
9/10, I have only been praising SAO so far (and no I am not an SAO fanboy) but I understand why some people may not, if you enjoyed the previous seasons/movie then this one will not disappoint, if on the other hand, you hated all of SAO, you are better off skipping this one as well. Personally I never really loved SAO after the first arc of the first season, but I am enjoying Alicization even more.

I'll apologize in advance for any possible grammar, punctuation or wording mistakes, English is my third language and on top of that, this is my first review.
Probably not going to involve myself much in reviews but SnK is an exception (there are some other titles that I might have "reviewed" as well but I only started using MAL recently despite my account being almost 3 years old, so there is that as well)
Disclaimer: I ll be assuming that you know more or less what the story is about (reading the synopsis should be enough) and that you have watched S1 so there might be some

minor season 1 spoilers ahead.
**Story 10/10**
You can't talk about a second season without bringing the first one so beware, some minor season 1 (or maybe major) spoilers ahead but rest assured no spoilers on the second season here.
To be honest, when I first started SnK (season 1) I was skeptical, it was just another over-hyped shonen with giant naked human-eating beasts A.K.A. Titans as the antagonists and 3 generic main protagonists all together in a generic survival plot.
Nothing special, nothing unique, nothing original.
But the show proved me wrong soon enough, the story was much more complex than i thought it would be, it was deeper, darker, more interesting. Every time they answer a question, they raise 10 more unanswered questions. Every time you think you understood something, they prove you wrong with an unexpected twist. And thus the cycle remains each and every time, which is a good thing in SnK.
**Art 9/10**
I ll skip this part since I am not fit to talk about 'art'.
Nothing to complain about here, while not at the level of.... let's say Fate stay night:UBW or Shingeki no Bahamut, it is still a solid 9.
**Sound 10/10**
The composer is Sawano Hiroyuki, should suffice as an explanation
**character 9/10**
All the characters (most of them at least) have their own unique backstory, personality and such, and even if they don't reveal their story you will somehow get attached to them through their interactions with other characters and love them (Levi squad, I am looking at you, Petra particularly rest in peace).
The minus 1 though is because of Eren in almost 2 seasons he didn't mature at all, still the same guy we got introduced to in episode 1 of season 1 after his mother got eaten.
**overall enjoyment 10/10**
Outstanding story with an outstanding OST (op and ed are great as well, never skipped them) with great characters delivered through great animation.
10/10 would watch again
