Dorohedoro (Manga) add
[MINOR SPOILERS]
I give this manga a rating of 6.5. I read it in about a week, give or take a couple of days. I'll make this short and sweet: While it does have a really intriguing premise and fun, fleshed-out characters with a little depth, don't expect anything other than a mediocre ending. This is a very safe, by-the-books manga. There will come a point in the story where you will say to yourself "Oh, so that's probably how it's going to end" and you will more than likely be correct. Very predictable. That's not to say that everything isn't tied up nicely. It's neatly ...

A short review:

I just finished this anime today. What a ride it was. I loved almost everything about it from the characters to the beautiful art. Everything is hand drawn and cell shaded, I believe. This anime has so much soul. Beautiful score as well. Has one of the coolest mecha fight scenes at the end of the anime that I have ever seen out of all the anime I've watched. All of the characters flesh out throughout the show, even the side antagonists that you wouldn't even think would have a written story. Everyone has their own motives. Not a single poorly written character, ...

Another short review that should help you decide on if you wish to watch this 3 episode OVA or not.

Story: 6

I'm giving it a 6 not because I disliked it but because it really needs to be expanded on. This anime universe is extremely intriguing and I'd love to know more but you can just tell that this OVA was made to promote the manga. It's like one big ad for the manga (which I do plan on reading at some point). I find anime that do this to always be extremely underwhelming (minus Berserk 1997 anime which was created for the sole purpose of ...

Mixed Feelings
I'll make this review short and to the point: Read the manga.

The anime story is decent but a lot of the plot was mixed around for some odd reason. It adds nothing new to the manga, which is okay but when you cut out specific character defining moments (I won't spoil it but if you've read the manga and watched the anime then you'll know what I'm talking about) it is quite aggravating. The stand-out character is, of course, the MC Goblin Slayer. He becomes more fleshed out throughout the anime but nowhere near as fleshed out as he is in the manga. The ...

Mixed Feelings
What can be said about Blue Submarine no. 6? I'm sure it would appeal to people that want your run of the mill world peace anime. You know, war is hell and all. Yeah we get it, blah blah blah. We need to learn to co-exist, yada yada yada. You've seen it a million times before.

What really stands out is the animation quality. It's beautiful, minus the CGI battles with the ships. Very fluid and really nice shading. I also loved the character designs. The MC, the heroine and all of the furry and fish people were really, really good. Other than that, there ...

Spoiler
Amazing anime! Really dark and gritty which is my type of show. There is some humor thrown into just to lighten up a few elements which works very well. This is a decision based show so the characters decisions affect their futures. Oh yeah and... well... [SPOILER ALERT] regarding Cal Devans, they could of went about her fate in a different direction. Watching her be killed by Zwei tore a hole in my heart and I literally couldn't sleep for a couple of days. Really depressing guys.
Overall: 10/10

This is the show that got me into anime. Starts off as a pretty happy story but then turns the tables into this morbid, dark, twisted, depressing tale of a young boys adventure to save a girl he just met briefly. No lose ends are left in this show. It pretty much ties everything up at the end. Its real fulfilling yet saddening at the same time. This show puts the horrors of war in the limelight. The decisions the characters make will greatly affect their future and the outcome of their story. Its an amazing show. Give it a shot! You won't be disappointed.

Angel Beats! (Anime) add
Jesus Christ this show is great. I mean, the story is phenomenal (at some points confusing), the characters are all likable (every single character you become attached to), and pretty much anyone could relate to at least 1 of the characters on this show. As the show progresses, the characters decisions affect the outcome of their future. Oh yeah, the show is hilarious. Oh and... well... it's pretty fucking sad man. I mean like... holy shit. The last episode is like 1 sequence of pure sadness. You will become depressed as shit after you finish it. Hell, I never cry and this... this brought me ...

This show is great. I feel like I am missing a deeper meaning to the story but hey, maybe you guys may understand it. It leaves a couple unanswered questions at the end of the show but other than that, this is one hell of a gem.

9/10 Due to the unanswered questions lingering in my head.
