Let me describe this manga in one word -"Shounen" Yeah that's what this manga is. It's everything shounen. the story suffers There is nothing wrong with the art style but there are places it could have been better. I really enjoyed reading this series. But what really pisses me off is the immaturity (and maturity) of the characters. They sometimes take responsibility while other times they don't say a thing. And the character growth is tremendous and almost unbelievable but I guess that's alright. There are idiotic jokes distributed throughout the manga in unexpected places and they will surely make you laugh. There are also large time gaps throughout the manga. Consisting of mediocre writing and outstanding graphics Demon Slayer is one of the most popular Shounen genre Anime out there. The story was somewhat lacking also considering it was Shounen. The Art however was something that could alone be the reason why you should watch this show. Character design is according to me lacking because of Inosuke. But I think that was intended. The MCs are well developed though. But the BEST thing is obviously the battle.What you would expect from a Shounen series. I would recomend not reading the manga after watching the first season and the movie becuase the second season is coming

Let me just start by saying this the manga is far better than the Anime adaptation. Partially due to how rushed the story is in the Anime. The story pace is just perfect The characters are what makes me love this manga. Each of them is well written and isn't there to support the MC. The different types of idelology and beliefs of all charachters are what makes them unique. If you don't know which to go for first, The manga or the anime then I will tell you this. This Anime is a phycological horror. It starts as a normal romance anime with Makoto's love confession but evolves into makto being a player Sekai being possessive and kotonoha being depressed. The end was uncalled for and depressing. The MC Makoto has the worst cloud of judgement in all of history. It is definetly not a romance, echi or harem anime. So don't expect a shy love couple blushing over each other. NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED. I would recomend it to those who can swallow an unexpected ending. I liked this Anime because of it's ending. This can be regarded as an upsetting anime movie. I wouldn't recommend to those with a faint heart. The end was something you had cried over. It is even sadder when you find out that it is based on a true story. The animation was obviously old but still, Studio Ghibli did a really good job.. The character designs were outstanding.
