Coming from the same studio as Death Note's anime I had expectations. And I am very glad to say that the expectations were mostly fulfilled. 12 perfectly paced episodes with totally different tastes to every single one.

Death Parade started off strong. One of the biggest downside of some animes is, regardless of how mindblowingly awesome their initial story plot core is, they begin with a boring pilot episode, so it takes more patience, a very good feedback, or sometimes even spoilers to keep us interested to continue on. But I found it is not the case with Death Parade. Instead of starting with some boring ... ass explanations that'll totally put me to sleep under 5 minutes, it immediately shows the main point of this anime: judging dead people's characters and deem them fitting or unfitting to be reincarnated. The first episode was very intriguing, it quickly introduces the points that will be explored further in the series: human emotions. It had its share of tension, sweet moments, and thrill. By the end of episode one you'll go 'what THE FUCK' and fast forward the ending theme just to see if there's some scenes after the credits (and let me tell you: there are. Never skip the after-credits scenes). The next episodes continue with perfect pacing, and as there are only 12 episodes in this series, no single episode was wasteful. The questions were gradually answered, and even though there are THAT many mysteries in the show, they won't make you scratch your head and get frustrated in confusion. It's that kind of show you'll enjoy, slowly but surely finding out more with each episodes. The entire series has different types of feeling to it: some are creepy, mindfucking, and depressing you'll want to claw your hair off but it has its share of comedic moments as well (there was even a Light Yagami cameo). There are also adorable, lovely moments that'll make you go d'awww. In short, it did a great job on mixing tension with feels. The main story and plot points aren't that original -- long story short it's about letting an non-living and non-dying existence to learn about human emotions and see how he goes well with that, but Death Parade did well to remix and deliver it. In the end, the biggest question mark we've had since the beginning of this episode was well answered during the final episode's climax scene.

The art is great! I have been watching the show in 1080p and I surely didn't regret it a bit (even though sometimes the buffering paused at the most awkward moments). The details are mesmerizing, colors are well-blend, and the backgrounds don't look bland at all. The biggest disturbance is the positioning of the characters' mouth though... they are too far from the nose and too close to the chin. It looked super disturbing during the first episode but I got used to it eventually, so I guess there's not much to complain.

Sound. Sound? The sound is AMAZING. Heck, it could even be the best part of this anime if not for the pacing, haha. Hayashi Yuuki, the composer of Death Parade's OST is hands down genius. The usage of BGMs isn't overused, and once they're used it gives you eargasms. During the skating scene? Check. During the next episode previews? Check. May I also tell you that the opening theme of this anime is wonderful (especially the MV). You won't have the heart to skip the opening. The VAs did an amazing job with this one. Decim's formal speech always gets me swooning. I particularly like Nona's VA. Overall the VAs did a great job, especially during the screaming and crying and wailing (I tell you, there are a LOT of them in this anime).

Characters... what can we say, there aren't much of living characters in the show (whoops spoiler alert?). But really, there aren't much you can tell about the characters in such short 12 episodes. Probably the plainest point in the anime. But at least I can tell you watching Death Parade makes you wonder about human characters, and how the arbiters set up an 'extreme condition' in order to fully understand a person's darkest sides' isn't always the best answer. I also like the idea of throwing the black-haired girl into the series as she is the trigger, the catalyst to keep the show going. She is the plot core. So, please pardon her for some actions she will do, as it is essential to the series.

I honestly enjoyed Death Parade, though I'm eternally grateful they made this a 12-episodes instead of 20something because that'll definitely make the show bland and boring. It's a kind of show you can healthily enjoy, but some episodes could maybe trigger unwanted memories, so please proceed with caution! All in all Death Parade is one awesome series, and I recommend it to everybody who can use some serious animes to enjoy.

Ehh a cooking manga. I started this manga because the cover art looks nice, and the story seemed okay as well. I didn't really know what to expect from this title since I knew nothing about the story beforehand, but after gulping three volumes (in under an hour) it was... meh.

Story seems interesting, albeit with a really overused cliche that follows the our-main-character-is-plain-but-one-day-somebody-comes-and-wrecks-his-everyday-life formula. I haven't actually read a manga where that somebody who wrecks the main character's everyday life is an Earl from Hell, and that he's planning to eat the guy later! But in the end, the story lacks depth. It fails to ... get you emotionally attached or just simply wanting for the story to continue. Finishing volumes after volumes I was only like "eh ok" "right" "off to the next volume" without getting my interests piqued... the story seems dull and the main character currently hasn't got the drive or a goal to follow, so he's just getting dragged along everybody's pace. The comedy is funny sometimes, but there is too much abuse for me to wholeheartedly enjoy this haha. Technically speaking the cooking isn't also convincing either. I mean, the main character is always up to battle with sophisticated cooks with over-the-top skills, and he always ends up winning because of one small advantage. Like, putting dirt inside your cooking beats a shining, sparkling dish of fine ingredients? It lacks explanation and in the end you'll just go "what?. The battles are unrealistic and anticlimactic and simply doesn't live up to the standards the previous cooking mangas I've read have set.


The art may be the best part of this manga though (simply because everything else seems dull). The cover art is what got me interested, and the art doesn't disappoint me. But it's not THAT great either... a certain cooking manga I know has this really splendid, sparkly shiny art that sets the bar too high.

Characters are, eh, bad. Throughout the three volumes I've read only shows Satoru being beaten and abused by Dogma, and that one thing simply doesn't change! Satoru is very weak-willed, while Dogma is originally a Hell resident with very bad temper and violent streaks, and this combination hurts my eyes and brain. For a shounen manga protagonist, Satoru is too... weak. He hasn't shown any character development at all from what I've seen other than growing just a tiny bit of balls to finally make his own decision sometimes (after getting a beating or two from Dogma, of course). On the other hand, the side characters are a lot more interesting. I have forgotten their names but there's this cooking-prodigy kid who's an absolute freak, and a spices-otaku guy who is also a freak. Satoru's crush is also a really interesting character. But well, as this is a comedy manga, don't expect for them to leave any lasting impression on you.

Actually, I enjoyed reading this. It's just that stupid, comedic, and I really can't feel the emotions, but that makes me relaxed. I read three volumes in mere three hours and well, I felt refreshed. Reading complicated, deep stuffs also hurt my brain and I need a rest from the mindfucking series. To sum up, Hell's Kitchen is a fun read you'll want to enjoy on Saturday evenings, when you've got absolutely nothing to do and you're too stressed to read the actual good stuffs.

"The music... is dyed in color."

After such a long time not reading romance stories I'm finally getting into some lately. First I started off with some popular shoujo titles, and when I'm running out of new books to read, I stumbled upon Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April). I thought this was just going to be a casual read about your typical romance + bits of music. Boy was I wrong, for this manga has proved to be a really emotional ride I shall never forget.

Story - The story is interesting. The beginning was rather predictable, it started with the introduction of ... Arima Kousei, a prodigal pianist who stopped performing the piano because of a traumatizing event. Then one day, a hurricane came into his life and wrecked his everyday routine. This hurricane was a seemingly loud, cheerful, and free-spirited girl named Miyazono Kaori. By the arrival of this girl, Arima's life did a 180 degrees turn as he's forced to face the piano again. Past memories resurfacing, meeting former rivals, and the bittersweet feeling of love and affection were what followed next. It started off as a sole growth story of Arima, and the initial atmosphere of this story was fun and touching, but later on metamorphosed into something more melancholic, more intricate, and a hell lot more depressing. Regardless of what you feel about the ending, you can't deny that Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is a really beautifully crafted piece of work. It builds up emotional attachments to the characters and by the time you've finished it, there's a warm feeling inside your chest. The story really flows and I especially love the dialogues. The words are spot-on and not just fillers for the story.

Art - The art is, ok I guess. Moderate at best, though. It's not sparkly nor is it particularly beautiful, but still okay. What I'm bothered of is the lips. Sometimes the author colors the lips and it looks like they're awkwardly using a bright red lipstick. It's disturbing.

Character - What's the most impressive here is really Arima's character growth. He has always been a warm, gentle individual, but later on he will mature a lot. By using his past experiences and finally realizing what being a musician is, he no longer runs away. He learns to face his past, makes peace with himself, and that shows in the music he plays.

I would also like to highlight Miyazono Kaori. She starts off as your typical heroine the male lead likes, but later on you'll also realize that that's not the only thing to her. Her character isn't something the author randomly pasted on a girl to make her likable, but she has something that drives her to be the way she currently is. Her background is not messy, but really well-written. Tsubaki is also a really nice character, she bullies Arima a lot but deep down we all know she cares a lot for him. This is not just about the male lead and the female lead, but about everybody's characters and everybody's stories.

Enjoyment - This, ladies and gentlemen, is indeed a really emotional ride. The atmosphere changes very quickly and unexpectedly and I want you guys to brace yourselves for what's about to come (though I doubt you can't guess what's the ending going to be like). But it's a really beautiful story. It makes you feel something, and that feeling lingers for a while inside your heart even after you have finished it.

All in all, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is really enjoyable. I recommend this to everybody. Even if it may start off as cliche, believe me, there's more to it than what it seems. And in the end, let the title -- Your Lie in April -- sink into you. Once you do, though, I doubt you can forget about this amazing piece of work for the next few months, or maybe throughout your life.

I hate depressing stories.

But as much as I do my best to prevent myself from reading such things that might damage me permanently, I still feel the urge to devour every single one of Yoneda Kou's works -- even though the majority of them are so nerve-wracking. Of course, Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai is no exception.

Story - Having quite a fan of BL stories, I have read another BL with the setting of yakuza. But that certain manga's yakuzaness doesn't even compare to Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. This manga is so dark, complex, sad, with the kind of story that will haunt you in your ... dreams & making you wake up in tears. Maybe I am being oversensitive but regardless, the story is really something. With enough portions of budding love, thrill, drama, it's a perfect example of making a yakuza-based story.

Art - Yoneda Kou's art is and and always gorgeous. The men are drawn very beautifully, each with distinct characteristics that differentiate them from the other characters. I really love the art. It's simplistic, proportional, and just has this 'BL' feel to it, you know.

Character - Aaaand here we are, at my favorite part of the manga. I would like to highlight the main character Yashiro please. Yashiro's character is very interesting. He is what should have been of a normal young lad had he not have a tragic childhood. His past ruined him, causing him to bend and even broke to become what he is right now. His lewd personality and foul mouth could be disturbing sometimes but deep down inside he's simply a broken man with a broken heart. Doumeki is your typical silent and solemn man -- but he is shown to have a soft side deep down inside him. Doumeki is kind-hearted and strong-willed. One particular occurrence that you will find later in the series assured my sympathy for this guy and his stoic attitude.

Enjoyment - I did not enjoy Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. I repeat: I did NOT enjoy Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. Its story is too dark and confusing and gloomy and heartbreaking to enjoy with a light heart. But I love it. No comments on this, I really love this manga. It's a kind of manga I'll read after preparing my heart for the storm that is sure to come, though. But it's a very interesting read and sure will keep you glued on your seats.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the perfect example on how a shounen series must be.

First I have to say that I'm an avid animanga goer. I have seen quite some series with different genres, and I also have other favorite titles. But among all of those favorite titles of mine, FMA:B stands gallantly, as it was the only one with such intelligence and perfection I was completely at loss for words when finishing it.

Story - The best part that shines the brightest in the series as whole. FMA:B, just like the manga, focuses on the Elric brothers as they embark upon a journey to get their ... original bodies back. Everything -- and by everything I mean from their backstories, the little arc, the wonderful climax and the satisfying conclusion -- is very well-thought, well-done. Everything about the alchemy thing and the (minor spoilers maybe) Homunculus thing, they completely blew my mind. The story was so brilliant and even though it started off with so many questions and so many confusions, the expanding story and the resolution answered them all for us. This story is what I would call, smart. It is complex, but not insane. The way we gradually understand the things happening inside the FMA:B universe is thanks to this anime's gratifying explanations. We are not too dumb to understand the story, and we aren't that smart to guess where the story is going either. All the ideas are very wonderful and magnificent. You don't usually find something this clever in an anime series...

As an additional note, I really loved the ending. It was totally 11 out of 10. No spoilers from me, though.

Art - The art is cool as well. They are the usual Hiromu Arakawa style, not too detailed but pleasant to the eyes. I especially liked the alchemy effects and the symbols, they are super cool.

Sound - WELL WELL. I have the entire opening & ending songs. From again until Rain. From Uso until Ray of Shine. I have the entire anime soundtracks, composed by the brilliant Senju Akira, the three discs of magnificence. I listen to them over and over again. I have to tell you the sound is very diverse and beautiful. The voice actors and actresses are also brilliant. Romi Paku, oh gosh, you guys know how well she voices people. Ed is no exception. The sound effects, voice acting, BGMs, and opening-ending themes are all beautiful, what else to say man?

Character - There are a lot of characters here. From our main characters to the enemies. The 'gray' characters as it was initially unclear where they belonged with. Suspicions and betrayals, enemies who turn allies. These characters are blessed with distinguishable characteristics and each one of them are unique. Even the characters who only appeared for little time can be very memorable to you (I'm talking about a certain character). There aren't any useless characters.

Enjoyment - I TOTALLY enjoyed this show. It was astounding. Breathtakingly awesome. This is not the series you could marathon in a day as you will go insane... though I doubt you can wait for the next episode til the next day. The series is very smart, and though there are some tragedies, it's still sweet, beautiful, and heartwarming. The ending doe.

Overall, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, as I had stated before and I will have to state it again now, is a perfect example on how a shounen series must be. Looking for a series with depth and complexity? The perfect series for you. Looking for some laughs? This series also have it, but don't blame me if you get caught up in this marvelous series, even though you didn't mean to.

Ok so I gave 10s to all: story, art, character, enjoyment, and overall.

I gave this manga a 10 even though it deserves, like, 1000.

One Piece is a battle mainstream manga. It is full of action and fights, and at first glance might seem stupid and random, but oh gods believe me, this is so very likely to be the BEST battle shounen manga you guys will have ever read. Widely classified as the top three most popular battle series alongside Naruto and Bleach, I've got to admit that One Piece is just.... way above those two. One Piece stands on top, the pinnacle of perfection, ... so posh and fabulous and flawless and pretentious.

Story - The story tells us about the adventure of Monkey D. Luffy, a very fiery young boy who dreams to be the Pirate King. The story starts from when he first set sail, and he gradually collects one member at a time to join his pirate crew. To me the story is original (I mean, who talks about pirates nowadays?) and the execution is nothing less than PERFECT. Can't talk about all the arcs because this manga has more than 700 chapters at the moment, but from the very start, when Luffy met the first man to join his journey, from that time on, the story progressed real smoothly, and real intriguing.

One Piece is one of the most complex series I've ever read-- it's full of unanswered questions at the moment. All the mysteries waiting to be solved-- ahh the thrill! Even though there are still so many holes until the main story is fully revealed, it doesn't make me feel agitated at all. My curiosity is perfectly fine and healthy, and I will patiently wait until everything gets explained. On the other side, I have a rather high expectation for the revelation, but looking at past experience and how Odacchi, the author, has brought the story so far, I have no complaints.

Odacchi also doesn't seem to run out of ideas. One Piece is overflowing with wild, wild imagination. So many awesome things support this manga and make it even more surprising. I mean how many people in this world would ever think of making snails as a medium of communication? How many people would ever create mermaids with specific fish types? How many people would ever think of creating the Void Century, mysterious devil fruits, poneglyphs, the Marines and their posh Justice cape, Will of D, Sea Kings, and Yarukiman Mangrove?? I suppose nobody but Odacchi could ever make these epicness possible.

Art - The art starts off rather funny and functional, but Odacchi has always had this intricate, unique style to his drawings that is impossible not to notice. As time flies and chapters by chapters go, the art metamorphosed into something, not entirely new, but more brilliant and more beautiful. The art is really cool and it goes really well with Odacchi's wonderful imagination. There are sceneries and odd stuffs drawn so well you can't help but go whooaaa. The only minus I can note is how Odacchi draws with such vigor the fight scenes can be really confusing if you're not following well. But it still doesn't change the fact that the art is amazing.

Character - One Piece as a long running series is also supported by its diverse characters. We have seen a lot, so much characters in more than 700 chapters and despite all of the cliches and the i-will-protect-my-nakama type of people, they are still real fun and real engrossing. Our main pirate crew even consists of three inhuman beings: a living skeleton, a talking reindeer, and a cyborg wearing Hawaiian Aloha shirt. What do you guys expect? Good characters don't always have to be humans yanno. There is Surume the kraken. Even Going Merry has her own human personification. I mean, I have so many characters in my mind when I want to write their names my mind go blank. But that's it. You guys take my point.

Enjoyment - F*ck, how I enjoyed this manga. I enjoyed it too much, in fact. This manga is just simply entertaining and every arcs will keep you glued to your seat. I spent so much words describing my feelings above I can't seem to make anymore words to express how I love this manga. In short, this is a real masterpiece that nobody should ever miss, regardless of whether this is their cup of tea or not. One Piece is exceptional. When you realized it, you'll find yourself craving for more, not wanting to stop.

Why the heck do I give 10s so easily.

But this manga deserves it anyway.

Story - Negative-kun to Positive-kun is a really lighthearted shounen-ai with cuteness every here and there. The story is very easy to read, very easy to understand, and will give you this weird warm, fuzzy feeling. It basically tells the tale of two boys, a couple, and how they live their (mostly) school life together. Doesn't have much of a real plot nor depth, but very refreshing. When the other BL mangas are just like sex sex sex sex, it's really rare to find a story which doesn't include any sex ... at all but still unbelievably pleasing.

Art - Hideyoshico's art is pretty much unique, and her art has this weird ~sparkliness~ to it. Not the best in my opinion, but it dazzles. Literally.

Character - The two main characters are total opposites, but that's what makes them connect to each other so well. Negative-kun, the one with brains, is someone really gloomy and constantly complains about little misfortunes in his life. Positive-kun the dumbo is quite hyperactive, shines brightly just like a sun, and always sees life in a positive perspective. They suit each other so well. Even though there are times when Positive-kun feels down. Negative-kun stays and be cheerful and smile in his place. It's just so sweet and I can't help squealing over these dudes.

Enjoyment - I enjoyed this manga so much, too much in fact. My life is plenty depressing already and I need stuffs to make me feel comfortable. This is the one. I friggin love this. I want everybody seeking warm stories with no complicated plots whatsoever to read this and fall in love with this just like I do.

HAHAHAHA why the heck did I even start reading this manga.

I'm underage and I don't like hard yaoi. I mostly just skip through the NC-17 scenes. I dislike hardcore lemon. I simply like light stories about cute guys falling in love and kissing and making out and being cute and all. So the big question is: why the heck did I even start reading this manga?

I don't know myself.

Story - This manga doesn't have much of a story. Consists of three unrelated main pairs, the stories aren't even my type. They are, of course, Suzuki Tsuta-style, straight to the point, and most of all WEIRD. ... I dunno what to comment anymore. But you will, somehow, magically, find yourself miraculously attached to the story. Even though the story doesn't make any sense! And I have to say, yes even though I am underage and all, the NC-17 scenes in this manga are definitely top notch. At least for the second first pairs. I'm not too sure about the third one. Anyway, there you go.

The first pair isn't even a pair: just a sliiiight spoiler, they aren't even dating or something. The guy on top is pretty much a slave-driver and the bottom dude is your typical girlish crybaby uke. But their sex scenes worked out so damn well. It was so hot and I've got to admit, even though there was no love included, it gave me this weird chills. I loved that scene. Probably one of the best I've ever seen.

The second pair has more feelings to them. Some love are included. But the top guy is a do.S. And that's just whew. The sex scenes were also godlike. Just like the first one, the type of scene that will send chills through your spine and make you drool and make you go like "damn I'm hot". Even though it's somewhat below the first pair.

Art - I restate, the sex scenes were totally hot. Enuff said.

Character - The characters pay a great deal to how hot this story is. These two guys on top are basically the creepiest, most sadistic semes I've ever seen. And yes, that works out. That gives the scenes like 10000000x times the impact and kinda left me wishing I'm the one getting laid...

I, with all my heart, enjoyed this story. Somehow. Kinda. Uhh. Okay, A LOT! The first time reading this made me go like "meh what dafuq" and I gave this a 7 here on MAL, but I somehow wind up rereading it and then I just realized how hot this manga is and I was like "shit" and I gave this a 9 instead. Go read it for some fun.

One of the best sports manga I've ever read, and will always be.

Eyeshield 21 is like the most awesome thing in this world. Oh my god.

Got absolutely no knowledge nor passion for American Football? Doesn't matter. Football might as well be your favorite sport after finishing this manga.

Story - ES21 tells the story of our protagonist Sena Kobayakawa. He, like most shounen anime protagonists, is extremely weak, good-for-nothing, and is constantly bullied. The premise is actually very interesting, because Sena developed a skill which matches him being constantly bullied! Yes, the skill lies within his pair of legs.

Sena has always been special since the start, ... but being special doesn't mean that he has to be invincible. No, Sena tastes a lot of crushing defeat throughout this story, but nevertheless he just keeps on getting up, continue to fight on, and in the end emerges victorious. And it's not just Sena who's fighting, it's all of his teammates. It's the whole Deimon Devil Bats. Each members has their own story and their own passion.

The execution is BEAUTIFUL. This could probably be the most passionate sports series out there. All of the matches are amazing and you can go around re-reading it for many, many times. It is really weird how the duo mangakas could make all of them very interesting and even though there is a lot of them in this manga, none of them feels repetitive. Each of the matches are unique in their own way. The matches also have perfect length, just the perfect bit of drama, and as always, the satisfying conclusion. It shows how even when the team's on the brink of defeat, they can always get up and NAIL IT!! (with regards to common sense still)

The techniques. Sports mangas ought to have weird techniques, and what's really weird of this manga is: the godlike techniques don't seem weird at all... Maybe it's due to the explanation given, but at any rate, it's actually pretty realistic if you think about it (minus the weird visual effects of course). Some, well, like Don, might seem very unrealistic but hey, you can't take mangas too seriously.

The ending might seem really vague, especially the last match they have together (not gonna tell, read it read it READ IT YOU'LL REGRET NOTHING!!), but I think it's fine just the way it is. It left us kinda wondering at the end, so I would consider it a good cliffhanger ending.

Can't believe I have blabbered this much JUST for the story, but in short: the story is fricking awesome.

Art - Holy sh*tting goodness, the art is wonderful. The first 8 volumes will probably keep you "lol the art" but on the later volumes, oh my god once again: it's beautiful. One of the best art improvement I've ever seen. The later art looks really masculine and the techniques are very easy to understand. I really love how the movement just flows and it's like we can see the pictures moving. Even the anime couldn't animate this better. Yusuke Murata is pure genius. If you have read One Punch Man before ES21 you'll probably get blown away by the improvement.

Character - We have tons of characters here. Aside from the unique traits of each individual, the character development is also really great. Monta, after letting go of his longtime ambition, finally finds his true life on American Football. Hiruma learns to trust others and leave his back to his teammates. Kurita learns to, even though he's kind, to fight fiercely in order to protect what he cares for. The trio gets to understand their passion. Sakuraba matures and he leaves his old life behind to fully dedicate himself to being an athlete. And most of all, the one who grows up the most, is Sena, who throughout this series has grown, from a weak-willed boy into a very formidable young man with solid dreams, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to reach that dream of his.

Enjoyment - This is no doubt my favorite manga ever and I fully enjoy this. I mean, a LOT. Maybe the first 5 volumes will get you bored but believe me after volume 9, it is all action and it's freaking awesome. It gets better after each chapter, and all of the matches are very intriguing they will surely keep you glued to your seat.

To sum up from this longass review (the longest I've ever written): if you haven't read this manga, READ IT. It is a masterpiece.

Goodness gracious, calm down. Before you bash this series for being unoriginal, please stop for a moment and take time to at least read my review.

Nabari no Ou's synopsis might seem like your typical shounen series; a boy main character who only wished for a peaceful life, but he somehow possessed a really great, inhuman power. That is like the basic setting for every shounen manga -- and with Naruto around, who needs another ninja series? We have had enough.

But believe me, Nabari no Ou is none like those cliches.

Story - To sum up without any spoilers, Nabari no Ou tells the story about Rokujou ... Miharu, your average teenage boy, and his adventure which revolves around the Shinrabanshou, a ninjutsu which holds the greatest wisdom humankind could ever imagine. The intro of this manga is really overused, I know. But if you read this and you have successfully reached the 'starting point', everything is going to change. Nabari no Ou's story needs around 20 chapters or so to fully blossom, so please mind the earlier chapters. While the premise is common, the execution is... I don't know man, beautiful. The story might seem confusing with weird explanations from time to time, but just try and understand okay. It is really deep, meaningful, and bittersweet. Yes, there is more to emotion on this series rather than actual storyline and action.

Art - The art is really funny on earlier chapters, but from chapter 30 since, the art is GOOORGEOUS. All the ladies are pretty, the boys are also pretty, we have Yukimi and Raikou. You won't get disappointed. As I stated before, you only have to go through the 'starting point', which is the actual start of this story to fully enjoy this series!

Character - There are various characters in this series, and they all have really different personalities. While other shounen series focus on the good and the bad, it's not the case for Nabari no Ou. As the story proceeds, you will find yourself wondering, which one is actually right? Who should I support, which side should I take? These kinds of questions are what makes this manga very interesting. Some characters that you think to be good will suddenly turn evil without you knowing what happened. Everyone is not what they seem to be like, and even though the one who opposes the main character should be considered the antagonists, in the end, you'll just never know...

The characters are also very engrossing, be it good or bad. Various personalities are shown, and the characters' development is also really enticing. You shall have a hard time deciding your favorite.

Enjoyment - I enjoyed this manga. This manga has its ups and downs, and its downs is mainly because heck, I don't get what's going on! This manga is more emotional and less practical, so at some points in the story you might start wondering about everything. But the reason I truly enjoyed this is because it gives me this weird, warm feeling inside my chest. And even now, after I finished the series, I still feel the warmth.
