This anime isnt a mind blowing or great anime but its great at doing things already established in other series. Its a great series to watch in 2022. Its a wholesome spy comedy anime with well executed action scenes. Surrounded by mediocrity and generic anime, this was a breath of air. You shouldnt expect a masterpiece but its fun.
For story, its decent. It has a clear objective and they have to build up to that objective. Its about a spy who has to secure a wife and kid to do a mission. Simple enough.
Animation: its good animation, dont have anything else to say.

Its made by WIT and Cloverworks, good animation for me is a good enough (except fire force, good animation, decent anime itself, but the fanservice is shitty).
Characters: the characters are great, we got Toddler Chika, Kaguya, and Shirogane. But actually though, the characters are great. Im too lazy to write anything because its pretty late and im tired but this is a good anime to check out.
9/10. Its pretty good. Id give it an 8/10 but because of the characters i rate it higher. Go check it out, its pretty good.

Here’s why i dont like this anime:
1) the characters are so unlikable (especially the obnoxious rat of a main character) and everyone apart from umaru is extremely bland with about zero personality. Boring and generic brother, tsundere, fangirl, etc. the tsundere especially for me is pathetic. I feel like Umaru chan as a character and anime is targeted at the massive weebs who live of chibi anime characters. Her character is the only character that somewhat had effort put into but that effort all went into an obnoxious, entitled, and unlikable personality. the bitches in this anime.
2) the humour is obnoxious and executed terribly. The humour just goes off of video games and pathetic characters. Many video game references that im guessing are supposed to make you laugh (just want to say references ≠ funny). Now, my comedy standards are low, but somehow, this anime had my face frown every time they made a joke.
3) this anime just seemed to market to the massive weeb gamer discord mods with its chibi anime girl and tsundere shit.
My overall rating: 6. This is a sorry piece of shit slice of life. I like slice of lifes (nichijou, higurashi, daily lives of highschool boys, etc) quite a lot but this was so generic that it made me want to regurgitate.
Mid anime. Put it in Low B or High C. To hell with the hamster bitch.

First off, i’d like to say that the manga came AFTER the anime and they are two completely different stories.
With this manga, i couldnt understand absolutely anything that was happening, and i dont mean that in a good way. The manga is extremely hard to follow. I dont know anyone who’s read this who could understand jackshit.
The manga isnt bad, but whats bad is how hard to follow.
(Excuse me for the errors and not writing this well its 3am)
It doesnt feel like FLCL because in FLCL it was random and nonsense was happening everywhere but you could follow it. This felt like a clusterfuck of

random ideas put together in what supposedly is FLCL. They just took characters from flcl and made it into this.
Im guessing it would be more enjoyable if you could understand it but i certainly didnt.
Overall: 6.
Edit: now, flcl was also hard to follow and had lots of themes that were hard to understand but the creator said “its okay to be stupid” while in this i couldnt understand jackshit.

Im seeing a lot of people saying “this anime only has a few good episodes” which is true, don’t let it discourage you from watching the anime. This anime was an extremely fun watch. Even if there are only a few good episodes, the bad ones aren’t necessarily not enjoyable. I dont think you should skip any episodes in this anime. While many episodes are like a 6-7/10 the ones that arent are great. Sure, maybe the humour isnt for you, but humour is subjective. The booby jokes dont really get in the way of anything, its just dandy’s character.
Story: now, with the
...
story, each episode has almost no continuity except for maybe some references of the last episode. The story here doesnt really show until later in the show, and the story itself isnt that great. A good anime doesnt need to have a good story. For example: demon slayer. It doesnt have the best story, its not a bad one but its certainly not great, yet it is one of the most popular anime because of two reasons: animation and characters. That moves us on onto the next 2 subjects.
Animation and art: since this is animated by studio bones. The same anime studio that made FMAB, MHA, and soul eater (just to name a few). Needless to say, the animation here is absolute eye candy. When a character moves, it looks like they move. This anime has amazing art and if you just want to see good animation, watch this.
Characters: the main cast of characters are very fun to watch as they are full of personality. While it doesnt have a huge cast of characters (main and side) the main 3 are very fun to watch. The character design in the show is very good too.
All the characters, even the ones that briefly appear have lots of effort put into the design. Every alien looks different instead of just many of the same species. I cant really think of anything to say about the characters other than “they’re fun to watch”.
Sound design: since I don’t really know how to judge sound design and stuff, I'll say its pretty good.
Music: this anime has a great soundtrack and it knows when to use the right song at the right time.
Dub: now i wouldn't include this but the dub is actually good. Watching it sub or dub doesnt matter as both are good.
Humour: lots of booby and crude jokes. The jokes can be oversaturated to some people but i didnt mind any of it. The humour definitely didnt make me scream out laughing but I definitely got some chuckles out of it.
Overall rating: 8. I think of it as a 9 but rating that would be biased as it definitely isnt a 9. More like an 8.70. Anyway, go check it out. Season 2 is definitely better than season 1. Its not that long and its on netflix and funimation so its easily accessible (to those who dont have it region locked on funimation).
Notes: the humour isnt very good but watching the show itself isnt losing anything. Its not great, but i enjoyed it. While what i enjoyed was subjective i really dont believe that it should be getting so many negative reviews. Its a fun watch overall, although it has many flaws, it definitely doesnt fall short on what i enjoyed.
