Honestly, when the anime was showing what they advertised in the synopsis, it was great. When it was about actual adventuring/traveling with a slime companion, I was hooked. But the second half stops the pacing dead in its tracks to solve a great mystery, and I dreaded clicking on the next episode every time. I came for cute slime interactions and adventure, but that's not what the main course was. If you were here because you like slime creatures, prepare to be disappointed.

Visuals: Great. I loved the way the anime looked, they animated Sora very well. The colors that were used matched the flavor of ...

Mixed Feelings
Spoiler
This review contains minor spoilers, listed in the "genres" part of my review, which is also the last section.

Will this anime change your life? No, definitely not. But it was far from unenjoyable. It's a nice level of comfort food that will make you feel good by the time you're done.
The plot isn't too heavy: Girl who is supposed to have powers doesn't have them, but gets them unconventionally and has to hide that fact until she's strong enough. The show follows her story as she tries to prove herself to those around her. I want to mention this early, but the conclusion was very ...

48x61 (Anime) add
I don't watch too many shorts, but when I saw this was made by MADHOUSE I couldn't ignore it and decided to give it a shot.

Story is simple - two older men bicycle racing across town. It starts off slow but they work the MADHOUSE magic gradually. It's quite nice how the progression of the race goes, from just biking harder to [spoiler removed :^) ]. Enjoyment gets 9 points

Artwork seemed a little low-end, even for 2002, but I still liked it. It created an unusual aesthetic, as if we got to see a cool project before it got prettied up. The visual effects for ...

A quick little 4 page manga about the main character of the mangaka's other works. Considering how short it is, I can't even talk about what it's about without giving anyway anything, but it did take me longer to find than to read. If you liked this mangaka's other works, I'm sure you'll get some enjoyment out of this short read.

If you haven't read anything by Panpanya before, the primary focuses of the work are atmosphere and art. From what I've read, each story really likes to draw the reader in through very odd, other-worldly situations and the art that accompanies them.

Pugyuru (Manga) add
Pugyuru is a comedy 4-Koma about a maid and some high schools in various situations. This manga is extremely easy to pick up and put down because rarely do each strip have impact on the next.

I'm just going to keep the story, art, and charter short because, well, it's a 4-koma. You don't read 4-komas for those reasons. Art was fine for a comic strip, no pages were drawn terribly, quality was consistent. Characters always remained in character, everything was fine. If you try to make sense of this story, you just won't be able to. If that's a deal breaker, then stay away.

My Enjoyment ...

Preliminary (16/35 chp)
I'd like to preface this review by saying this manga is best read by readers who aren't looking for anything serious, who can laugh at silly situations, who enjoy misunderstandings, and anything else familiar a high school "romance" comedy.

Story - 6 - Fair
It's a comedy manga with cliche events as a baseline, so of course it won't be very thrilling. However, very fun anticipating what Tsujiura will do in the situations she's put in. Events unfold in an order you'd expect, and they like to introduce characters every few chapters so it doesn't get stale. The whole reason why this story is happening in the ...

READ HEAVEN'S DOOR INSTEAD! This "book" is just the same exact dialogue of Heaven's Door

The only way I'd suggest reading this light novel is if you were more of an Angel Beats! fan than I am, and that's saying quite a bit. My biggest gripe was, as the other review said, that the entire book is pretty much dialogue. I didn't mind it when it was 2 characters, but when the 3rd, 4th, and 5th were introduced, it was very difficult to keep track of who was speaking, save Yurippe, as you could almost always tell when she was talking based on the ...
