If you're looking for slice-of-life mangas with a slight spin, then maybe Uchuu Kyoudai is the manga for you! Uchuu Kyoudai is about a man in his mid 30s, who suddenly finds himself out of job and decides to pursue his childhood dream to become an astronaut, chasing after his younger brother, who is already an astronaut preparing to go into space. I get this same warm fuzzy feeling after reading both mangas and I appreciated that both mangas have characters who are working towards (finding) a dream yet still have doubts of their own. Humourous and realistic, the storyline of Uchuu Kyoudai moves forward with little drag and cliche, qualities that I too, find worthy in Silver Spoon.
