Preliminary (38/? chp)
i really enjoyed this manga! it's still ongoing, but i randomly stumbled across it on pinterest, and then binged the entire series in a day. i love the crazy dynamic between the female lead and the male lead, and the yandere qualities he has. also the action is cool and all, but it's so cute seeing the slice of life moments of the two main characters or the differences between them because one is from osaka and one is from tokyo. also, i like this one much more than firefly wedding, which i think is a similar manga, but this one has more meat and ...

What an interesting manga to read. Almost slice of life with supernatural elements, it was definitely slow-paced, but it passes by nicely. I still enjoyed watching the daily life of both Teacher and Shiva , even if most of the action came later. The art is different than any typical manga, and is vaguely reminiscent of reading an old storybook, which makes it gorgeous and unique. It really picks up in the last few volumes, but the ending had me quite confused (even after reading many reddit threads on analysis lol). A little bit of me wished it stayed between a monster taking care of ...

Soul Eater (Manga) add
This manga is so near and dear to my heart. Soul Eater was the first anime I had ever watched and, therefore first "real" manga I had ever read. As a middle schooler, I only read bits and pieces, so the story was incomplete for me for almost a decade. I'm so glad I finally decided to read it, because the story is amazing. Once it deviated from the anime, I remember eagerly flipping through the pages, seeing new content I had never seen before. The characterization is amazing, with each character's relationship with one another feels so natural. The characters also stand out with ...

I really enjoyed this story but it felt super duper rushed. I think if they added another 200 chapters to actually flesh out the characters, it would be a really superb manga. I heard the anime is better in timing/pacing, but I was skeptical on how bad can the manga be… it was pretty bad. it’s kinda funny bc I read the last 60 chapters on tiktok before I started the manga, and I thought a lot of the “This feels so sudden” feeling I had was because I was reading chapter 167 with no context. but reading it from start to finish, it feels ...

Uzumaki (Manga) add
I think out of all the mangas to read physically instead of on your phone, Junji Ito's works are the one. He's mastered the "page flip jump scare" as my friend says, where you don't even expect what's on the next page, but once you flip it's the most horrific thing you've ever seen. Multiple times I gasped or dropped the book just because I didn't want to even be touching what was on the page (annoying the one other guy in the library sitting next to me). Trypophobia is one thing to be scared of, but to successfully make spirals scary is impressive. I ...

To be honest, I only read this because I thought Sniper Mask was attractive (and he is LOL the manga does not disappoint on that). I have mixed feelings about this manga. It's very gory and violent from the very first chapter, with people committing suicide by jumping off high-rises and exploding on impact. However, the shock factor gets old after the 10th person dies in the very exact way by like chapter 7. However, the chapters are short and easy to read, so I kept reading.

I think the story is actually interesting from chapters 1 to 150. The world-building is cool, the characters are ...

This manga is so near and dear to my heart. It is so enjoyable to read, and even on my third re-read, there were so many points where I was just laughing out loud just from the silliness of the characters. Bisco Hatori does a great job of characterization, making everyone stand out and she works so hard to make sure no small detail is overlooked (for example: mori’s favorite book is don quixote! honey’s favorite subject is math! — these details are briefly mentioned but come back into the story when you least expect it). I loved reading all the small little things she ...

Hare-Kon. (Manga) add
I only read this because I was bored this summer, but it was quite addicting to read. I finished all 187 chapters in about 7 hours lol. In all honesty, I don't normally read steamy mangas like this one...let alone a harem one...and I don't think I will again. I'm conflicted as the art is so pretty and the story is actually fun to follow (there's SO much drama all the time) up until about chapter 100 or so, and then the storyline just goes downhill. Although never a dull moment, there are scenes where I have to ask "Did this really need to happen??" ...
