First let me start of by saying that I saw this anime after the 2006 remake.
Ahh Kanon, you either love it or hate it. Based off of Keys visual novel of the same name, it really delivers and emotional punch in this 13 episode series. I found this series based off of the fact that I found Clannad and Clannad After Story so amazing.

This movie combines Clannad and the Clannad After Story into a film. This movie has a fairly similar art style and some of the voice actors are different from the Anime version. I think this should be watched after you complete the main series. Even though this predates Clannad and Clannad After Story, they have a much better ending and go into way more detail and the plot is way better in my mind. First of this is my very first review here. I am writing this review months after I watched this anime so I gave myself time to think here.
When I first started to watch anime this was recommended to me by a friend on steam. Got a copy and I watched the entire series in a day. This anime was AMAZING. The art style was really good and in hd this show looks great. On top of that the characters are really easy to identify and understand.
