THE WORST… i loved the movie but i also hate it for the following reasons:
1. it’s too short and the whole story has so much wasted potential
2. the end is fuck1ng terrible, and came out of nowhere
3. you’d be definitely expecting that at the end there was a way for them to be together and he just so suddenly disappeared?
4. not long enough to develop the story to its fullest
5. hella sad
6. i loved it but it definitely will leave a cinematic trauma that’s gonna haunt me for the rest of my life
7. it’ll leave a void, the movie it’s totally worth ... watching but it really will leave you wishing for more… and there’s no more, so watch at your own risk and consider your mental health

overall 10/10; even tho it is too short and i’d wish i didn’t end like that, that’s exactly what makes it so good.

I hate to see this anime being compared to other classic romance anime as well as recommended to the ones who watched animes like maid sama or kimi ni todoke.

To be brief, it’s terrible. The story is about a girl whose middle school crush disappeared and the reappeared with a completely different personality, from a sweet, shy boy to a “to cool to care” jerk. The guys a jerk. His genuinely horrible and treats her like crap. The worst? she seems to be a delusional masochist who actually likes being mistreated and played by him.

i got here after watching maid sama and finding this in ... the “alike section”, with a lot of people recommending it. No. If you’ve watched maid sama you know that even though usui's a complicated guy with some red flags he definitely isn’t a jerk to the fl, totally the opposite. What’s similar is the possessive attitude kou has which you could compare (not quite tho) to usui's but he still sends the FL mixed signals and doesn’t really show interest in her, but at the same time… he does, which is the whole trama, he being a jerk playing with her and not being clear with his feelings.

to conclude if you’ve watched and liked something like kimi ni todoke, maid sama, horimiya, snow white with red hair, and every other romance anime with a nice guy, this isn’t quite for you

if you like tsundere boys and girls with no self respect or dignity, this is it

if you liked wolf girl and black prince you actually might like this one.
