This was a good story which had some unexpected aspects to it, I thought overall it was well planned out, even when it came to the slow change of the opening throughout the episodes. Furthermore, it's one of the few animes that made me shed a tear... or two....

This 7 chapter novel is a rather quick read, but that doesn't make it bad. Overall the story was well paced. Plus who doesn't like a published fanfiction of the well loved death note?
Story: 9 Damn this story was good, during mystery stories I like to try and figure out the mystery too, but this was just a mystery within a mystery. Jigoku Shoujo (Hell girl) is a rather unique story about revenge.
Story: 7 The story doesn't particularly have a plot, every chapter (except towards the end of the series) is a new chapter long story. Sometimes the chapter is very predictable, other times it has a small, shocking twist to it. Art: 7 Their eyes are massive, it's quite cute but they're completely disproportional to their face. It can also be quite difficult to tell some minor characters apart. Character: 5 As it's only a short series it's difficult to feel close o the characters, particularly the minor characters. Kuroko no basket wasn't a series I expected to enjoy, I expected wrong. I only decided to watch it because of how cute the characters looked (don't judge). I came for the guys and stayed for the plot.
Story7: It's what it says in the title, it's about basket ball; not really much else, but the games get really intense, like you expect that they will win every time but, yeah. So, Bleach is a very over rated anime, people either really love it or really hate it. I personally really love it, but that's probably because it's the first anime I watched, so it does hold a special place in my heart.
Story- 8: I love the story, it's well developed and has a lot of backstory to it. What made it less good... THE FILLER! They needed to calm down. Step back. Story: 7- The story follows a girl who woke up with amnesia and in attempt to regain her memories befriends Orion a spirit. The concept was good, however at times it was dull and they tried to build up mystery to a point where it became predictable, other times the opposite happened- it was just too predictable. Art: 9- I love the kind of the art they had in Amnesia it was very similar to No Game No Life. Sound: 5- It was average, nothing special. 9 Life after death is always a good theme for an anime, however it's quite a common theme, for example the major anime Bleach, possibly the most well known anime with the theme of the after life. This anime is about a young girl who can see a black line around a persons neck the darker it is the sooner they are going to die. Story: 7, I gave this story line a 7, it's a really cool concept, however the zombies aren't really the whole infectious- destroy their brains to kill them. They're just people who died and are still living. I think what would have made this story better is if here was more episodes, the lack of episodes did make this anime have less of a plot to grow. (My first review) This review may have some light spoilers. Shiki has to be one of my favourite animes, this is because of the story, art and music. This anime is supernatural and throughout has a dark theme, it shows how the characters can cope with the supernatural both physically and mentally.
The art style to begin with can seem quite strange but the art grows on you, when I finished the anime I missed the style. The music too is beautiful, it adds to the setting and really makes the story so much better. Another plus side of this anime is that the vampires aren't ... |
