TL;DR: A great manga. Superb art, funny characters, a good story. It doesn't take much time to read, so you should probably just go read it.
Also, the manga got voiced over on the official Shonen Jump YouTube channel by Chiaki Omigawa who happened to provide the perfect and most comedic voice for Ruri. I'd highly suggest checking it out (even if it has no subtitles).

The story is quite simple. Puberty is weird for a lot of people, but it's sure weirder when your parent is a dragon. Sex-Ed doesn't teach you about what happens when your parents are of two different species, but here Ruri is. There isn't a whole lot of time to establish characters in this one-shot, but I still liked Ruri and her mom. Their dynamic was great. The art is spectacular. There is a lot of attention to detail. It boosts the story from where it already is.
Overall, I had so much fun with this story, and it was enhanced by the fact that I watched the official video before I read the rest of it. It won't take you long to read it, so I suggest you just go ahead and do it! It's always worth a shot!

This manga was recommended to me by a YouTuber. You can probably guess who it is: TheAnimeMan.
Summary: Interesting premise, poor execution, terrible characters, good art.
The story premise was simple but compelling. It's almost like the equivalent of "Truth or Dare" with astronomically elevated stakes. Although the premise is good, the execution was poor. It took off but didn't know how to land right and belly flopped into the pool. But actually, it started going down after the midpoint.

if there was little to no effort. Every single character, including the main ones, had little to no backstory or character building. If the character cast was a flavour, it'd be water.
The art was good. It gave me Bakuman vibes. The over-the-top reactions did wear off after a while, but the violence shots were pretty well-done.
Overall, I found this manga to be a waste of time.

First off, this is a summary movie. Watch the original series if you haven't already. There is some new content in the movie that wasn't in the original series. If you enjoyed the original series, you might get a bit bored since it is a recap. However, even though I watched the original series myself, I still found myself really enjoying the movie. It really reminded me of how much fun I had watching it at the time of airing.
Since the story and characters are the same for the most part, I don't think I really need to go that deeply into it. While the

jokes can be seen as a bit awkward at times, I found myself jumping back into the story with this movie without really feeling like I ever left it in the first place.
The use of the soundtrack was great and made things feel really cohesive. The casting was great, and their performances were spectacular. It was a very enjoyable movie, and I really didn't mind that I watched a recap of a series I already watched.
While I do think that most summary anime movies would benefit by just giving us a short epilogue while skipping the filler, I didn't mind with this one because they presented it in a way that made a lot of sense. Flashing back through the memories also impacted the story more effectively than if they just left it as a mini epilogue. It was actually a really smart decision on their part.
With that being said, since it was technically still a recap, I wouldn't feel right giving it a score that was higher than what I gave the original series, so I decided to give it an 8/10 and see how I feel about it later.
Despite being cliche, this series was a lot of fun because it focused on a relationship that is scarcely touched in anime. Being able to see the intimate family relationship was an experience in itself that was incredibly heartwarming.

I figured I would just write a review since there wasn't one when I first watched the short three-minute film produced by Honeyworks. The art is good as usual. Its presentation is neat and tidy with a lot of bright colours all around to get you in the spirit of the series which is centred around young love and the revolving storylines surrounding it. The story is fairly simple. There's the normal unoriginal Honeyworks cheesiness. If you can't stand cliches, I'm afraid that you're in the wrong place. This is what Honeyworks is known for. a series of music videos. Characters are uninteresting as usual. Perhaps they get more interesting with the more series that you watch since there is some backstory involved sometimes, but it's nothing really extraordinary. It's mostly what you get on the surface. Some characters honestly have no personality. The characters in this film are no exception. I probably enjoyed this a little more than the average person only because I have watched most of the Honeyworks series, so this was a nice add-on.
Overall: It's not unique. If you're looking for a revolutionary series full of new things, go somewhere else. Watch the other Honeyworks-related content first.

TL;DR: It might not be the most thought-provoking, and it's sometimes stupid, but I found this anime enjoyable and a pleasure to watch.
Wow, that was a lot better than I expected. When I went into this anime, I didn’t know what I was watching at first. With the English title, “My Little Monster”, the first thing my mind wandered to is Pokémon because it’s the abbreviated term for “Pocket Monsters”. This isn’t anything like that.

a good thing. You don’t drastically change that fast upon meeting a person. It takes a long time, and I think the show did the pacing of development well enough that I felt attached to almost all the characters. Some argue saying these characters are tropes which is sort of true, but I thought there was more substance behind it than that since there was reasoning behind it, and their chemistry overall was a result of that quirky concoction. Besides that, I don’t think I’ll give too much more description into that because I truly believe that the characters’ actions will speak far greater than my words.
The story in this anime is quite simple. Just like a lot of romance anime, it is about two people falling in love. More than that though, I think one of the beautiful things about the romance and slice of life genres are the way that you can take it. There is the melancholy tragic backstory or the happy-go-lucky comedic storyline. This one is more of the comedic kind, but there is a bit of backstory given. Although none is anime-level tragic, I think it was nice that they put it in to give a bit of background for each of the characters. I am a person who believes that most disliked characters can be made more tolerable with a good character arc or backstory. Now, with that in mind, some characters don’t receive as much development as others. With thirteen episodes, you can’t ask for that and expect it on a silver platter. Overall, I believe that the story, although simplistic, was a refreshing type of storyline that put a unique twist on its comedic-romance/slice of life genre.
In terms of score and animation, I can’t say much about it since I found that it was rather simplistic and normal. I will say that I disliked the score. The score for me just did not fit the show well enough of what it could’ve been, and to me, score is a huge factor of a show as it sets and amplifies the mood, so I was disappointed. Animation and art was about average. There weren’t any scenes that stood out for me, but I will note that as usual, there are a ton of laughable funny faces. I think it adds to the comedic value of the show, and with the characters and general jokes, I think it did its job sufficiently. The seiyuu of the show were also unique in their own rights. I had no problem with any of their performances because I truly found them as a great fit for each of their characters.
This anime I feel does not have a high enough score for the amount of enjoyment I had watching it. It was truly a pleasure to watch, and it is one that I would put up with some of my other favourites from the genre like “Toradora” (I can’t name much more than that since I am usually more of an action/shounen type of anime viewer). Sure, it's sometimes childish and stupid, and the anime itself isn't thought-provoking and deep, but it's fun to watch. If you are considering watching this anime, I would say to watch it. It’s only thirteen episodes, and I just found it amusing to watch.

Short Review Summary:
- a few hidden gems in a mostly unfunny show

I feel like I can’t give a proper review of this show because it was a skit comedy show, and with comedy, everything was a hit and miss. One episode that stood out to me was the second part of episode 9. That episode was one of the best out of the whole show. It had the spectacular mix of comedy and seriousness which is not usually seen since it’s a self-proclaimed “gag” anime. Unlike its other episodes, it had a good story in mind going in and really stuck to it quite well.
In terms of score, I didn’t like it. In terms of animation and art, it was original, but by no means is that always a good thing. I will add that the voice actors (in the Japanese dub anyway) were amazing. Many of these people were professional top-tier voice actors, so I guess it was to be expected, but their performances truly made the show. Like a comedian with their jokes, I feel like if it was done by anyone else, it would’ve fallen flat. It was quite funny seeing voice actors who can sometimes take on opposite types of roles settling down for a show like this.
