( . .)φ__ hinamatsuri is a fun show if that's what you're looking for﹗however, is it something i would recommend to people? based on the naked minors.. my answer would be, probably not. unless you can somehow.. ignore that.. and other inappropriate adult jokes of preteens— so heads up﹗now with that out of the way— you'd think it'd at least excel in humor from all the reviews; but it's nothing unique and you're better off watching a different anime¿ the jokes are funny in a questionable way but not enough for it to actually send you into a fit of laughter. by the end of

the show, you leave feeling like it was a wasted opportunity.. in other words, it's underwhelming. not boring, just mild. but it'd be lying if i said it was all bad. it has a way of making you care. plain in a good way— charming﹗(hina reminds me of youtsuba at times— a slice manga, if you're familiar)﹗if hinamatsuri doesn't sound like it'd be your thing, i'd say the anime saiki k and nichijou are the ones that actually exceed in its comedy.
this anime is not exactly plot-heavy, which is The nicest way to describe its holes and inconsistency. i mean the synopsis itself says "and the fact that she possesses immense powers" right? but after a while, their powers were treated like an afterthought. especially with anzu !! her powers were completely dropped. not to mention the "she loses control and unleashes an explosion if her powers remain unused" ..which you Think would be a reoccurring gag.. but was only birthed in one funny episode and left for dead throughout the show after ﹏
that being said !! IF YOU ARE INTO SAID TROPES: (ex-)yakuza members living in domesticity, grumpy old guy but (for lack of a better word) badass takes in a child they warmed up to and protects them, slapstick comedy— this might just be entertaining enough for you ☆⌒(>ᴗ•)
