It's an adorable and evidently vintage animated series featuring a bunny endowed with superpowers who swoops in to save people from wrongdoers.
The cartoon seems to subtly incorporate political undertones, particularly with its frequent references to American city names and themes, adding an intriguing layer to its charm.
It's the perfect choice for a casual viewing with a younger cousin or sibling, but it also serves as a delightful background companion while I tackle my homework.
The story itself is pretty self explanatory and is sort of predictable in a certain sense. Regardless, it is a very cute cartoon that is pretty enjoyable as something to play while

An absolute fucking blast of emotions
A lot of depth and relatability can be grasped from this anime, maybe not in the sense of gambling related per say, but in the sense of personal struggle and wishing to get a fresh start.
I absolutely loved this anime, if not for my friends recommendation, I would have kept sleeping on this masterpiece.
It is an absolutely gorgeous anime story wise, as unlike a good deal of other anime, it does not let neither the fact who the main character is nor the fact that he is the main character NOR the fact that there are more episodes
...
to come, become a factor in why he wins his battles.

This season is certainly a big improvement over the first one
That said, it has a couple of design choices about which I feel mixed
1. I personally hate it when shows overly tie their story progression with a movie release. I do indeed feel like, for long-time fans, watching the movie and then diving back into the show is a great experience, especially when shared with friends who also love the series.
That said, this only applies to people who watch the show on release, for everybody else, it is simply a confusing factor of wanting to jump from S1 ⇒ S2 and yet running into
...
problems understanding some plot points in the second season. Worst of all, with S2 starting with a flashback, it is so difficult to tell that there even was a need to having watched the movie before starting season 2.
2. During a flashy and bright fight, occasionally, the screen will become dimmer and blacker for no reason. I do not understand what the hell is the logic behind this? There is nothing I can do to make the screen any brighter than it already is, and yet they periodically dim the brightness of the show for no reason.
I cannot tell if this were a thing during S1 too, but it is especially prevalent during S2's flashy fights. Simply refer to any point when Itadori would use black lightning, and I feel like the screen becomes dimmer and ruins the viewing experience.
3. The narrator is so god-damn annoying. Why is there a narrator? Who asked for the narrator to explain what is obviously happening on screen? For the blood bending guy, all throughout that fight, the god-damn narrator couldn't keep his yap shut, and for what? To explain that “oh, pressurized blood can cut good” yeah, thanks bud, that much was obvious, otherwise the antagonist wouldn't be fucking doing it. I can see what he is doing, he is pressurizing his blood to cut through objects, I can see that for myself.
My biggest angering point about this never ending intrusion of the character's thinking process, is the entire fact that the author literally implemented a mechanic to explain that characters get stronger from explaining their techniques to their enemies. Why would you implement this as a literal fact, and yet overly rely on a narrator mid-fight.
4. Finally, the absolute worst part about this season is when the most important flashback takes place. Why the hell are we seeing Gojo's flashback in the beginning of the season? I personally feel like while the hype of seeing Toji get resurrected and kick ass was hype, and that the period between the flashback and his resurrection was needed to build up hype, I likewise feel like it would have been much better to insert Gojo's flashback before Gojo got sealed away.
It actually would have burst so much more emotion from the fact that his best friend's body was invaded by a parasite, it's unbelievable that the flashback happened so early.
Overall, I am satisfied with the season, but I do feel like some of these design choices could have had a much better execution.

So much suspense, so much depth, such an interesting message, and yet it all plummeted in the end, at the moment when it mattered most.
I felt such a weird feeling while watching this show; all throughout the show, I simply kept jumping back and forth between characters, trying to figure out which ones were robots and which ones weren't. Honestly, until "the airport scene," I didn't even realize that Gesicht's wife was even a robot. I honestly kept watching the show and kept trying to figure out, "wait, is this person a robot or not?" because the best part about this feeling was that it
...
never at any point showed you or gave you ways to believe that any of these people were robots. The best part about all of this was Naoki Urasawa's approach to simply drawing his characters in his classical style. It is so unironically genius to simply draw characters in a style we are all too familiar with while fooling us into getting confused on when a character is or is not human.
THAT was the beauty of this show, this feeling of confusion and internal struggle for acceptance, this was what made Pluto unique. While Monster was an amazingly written story, Pluto was its sort of social experiment on your personal perception of "How would you feel if the person in front of you was a robot?"
The most absolute perfect example of this comes in the form of Helena, Gesicht's wife. To reflect on my personal experience, when I began watching the show, I simply lacked the comprehension of "why would two robots be occupying a space that could have been saved for humans?" To me, what made sense was that while Gesicht was clearly a robot, Helena was simply married to a robot, as I presumed that there would be no way that two robots would be members of high society and living as well as Helena and Gesicht were. The confirmation of her being a robot truly felt like a revelation equivalent to that of some other major plots in the entire show.
This was the feeling that drove me to keep watching Pluto, and yet it became a secondary factor, followed by a very hype suspenseful setting up of this great beast, that was supposed to bring the climax of the show where it would challenge SOMETHING about ourselves, our perception of robots and computers as equals, only to flop and bring up weak themes and reasons behind the motivation of the anime.
To myself, and how I saw things going, the ultimate climax was supposed to be the ending of all life and how the destruction of humanity, of the robot race, and of all of us as a whole was supposed to bring the ultimate change for greatness. As that the entire flower field was supposed to be the world after all of humanity and all that it has created would perish. Like seeing the father of all robots program Adam in a way that he would realize this, and how that entire part of him writing on the walls the instructions to the creation of atomic bombs strong enough to destroy everything was the leading sign that Adam had realized what needed to be done.
But no, it turns out that the hidden hand simply wanted to control humanity, and that Pluto was simply this misunderstood little guy who simply wanted hugs and kisses, as did Adam after awakening.
This anime was going places, and yet it drove off a cliff halfway through the road.
I "enjoyed" this anime, but I can both understand why people liked it and why many Naoki Urasawa fans consider Pluto to be his weakest work. That said, knowing that Pluto is Naoki Urasawa's least perfect work, you can only imagine what other masterpieces await us in the near future.

Im sorry I just find this show to be very boring.
I finished S1 and felt like the story so far was super forgettable, not to mention lacking in depth. None of the characters truly feel like deep individuals, and hence making their fights feel shallow and unreasonable. I feel like JJK is basically the power fantasies of a bunch of middle schoolers, imagining themselves as these ultra-cool, ultra-funny, and ultra-powerful beings. They are all cocky and arrogant because they are not yet adults and do not find the need to refine themselves into much deeper beings. They are aimless because all that they know is
...
going to school, these people have no passion nor anything interesting about them as unique individuals, as neither do most middle schoolers.
Watching this anime makes me get the feeling that people like this show purely because they enjoy that childhood fantasy. It is a distant feeling where we would imagine ourselves as these ultra-awesome heroes that are vanquishing evil and saving the world. I think people connect with this show as they too yearn to relive these moments of their life, back when college or high school wasn't dragging them down, and their imagination was able to do all the heavy lifting.
Now, through the power of MAPPA sweat and blood, people are able to relive these moments while allowing the show do the heavy lifting, while letting these hollow characters take place as their imaginary set pieces of their perfect world.
I feel like the perfect connecting point of this “theory” I guess you could call it, would be the fact that, there aren't any sexual themes in the show so far. While the show does discuss “oh man, which girls are hottest” I do feel like that sort of falls more into the middle schooler territory, where they call somebody hot or attractive but they themselves don't fully comprehend what exactly does that mean.
I feel like while others yearn for their child like imaginative world view, I myself do not have this issue and more appreciate depth of character and interest of the individual. There is nothing wrong with liking JJK, I just myself find these shallow traits to be boring, no matter how beautiful.

I really feel like that this anime ruins a lot more than it builds
heads up - (I am going to delve deep into some spoiler heavy content) - heads up
I feel like that my first dislike was making Mayuri having had a crush on Okabe all along. I feel like knowing this just ruins the main time line and the relationship of Okabe and Mayuri. Moreover, this just puts in so many discomforting realizations that honestly were simply not present in the first anime, with me personally feeling like all of the relationship plot points in this anime were simply brought on to
...
make the "emotions more heavy" while only ruining relationship perspectives by the viewers as a result.
Making Mayuri like Okabe as more than just a friend
1. Ruins Makise x Okabe, one of the most unexpected and yet one of the most perfect shipping and love spark moments I have ever seen in media.
2. Ruins Okabes drive to WHY he has this internal drive to try to fix everything, especially knowing that to him, the most important rounding point is Mayuri dying.
3. Ruins the Kurisu x Okabe interactions I have been craving since I had finished the show, making Okabe be a much more desparate. and hopeless individual than how he really is (Bro would probably eventually try to jailbreak her)
4. Ruins, just, Mayuri. I really felt like making her like Okabe as more than just a friend sort of just, ruined their relationship. This just implies that she wasn't just a really good, very sweet, friend who was down with the craziness that Okabe had about himself, but was secretly in love with him. This just makes me feel as if she was "spending time with her special someone" and waiting for him / for herself to gain the courage to make the big push and start dating.
Personal experience - From my personal experience, this is how I feel about Mayuri x Okabe because I myself had a Mayuri like person in my life. We had no “spark” between us, as I knew for a fact that she had a crush on a couple of guys throughout the years of us knowing each other, as well as knowing that we had each other in our moments of weakness, without feeling like “oh, I / she will use this as an opportunity to comfort each other and get together”.
Our friendship was, and still is, beautiful, and in Okabes and Mayuris relationship, I saw a reflection of our relationship. I saw the beauty of their friendship in S;G 1, and it was exactly like the relationship between me and my friend.
In S;G 0 however, this relationship just went wrong, with one confessing to another. To me, if I were in Okabes shoes, and it turned out that this friend really did have feelings for me, this would ruin our relationship. It would add this wedge of "I really don't want them to get the wrong idea", which is exactly how I felt it ended up being.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love steins;gate, and if you are reading this, and you do feel like S;G 0 was a good fit, I don't blame you, I truly do in some ways appreciate this extension of the story. I hope you know that I write all of this, not out of hate, but out of compassion and understanding for the characters and steins;gate as a whole.
I love this show and I love you for reading this far, cheers to the anime that deserves its rank at the top of all anime on mal!!!

Watched this first alone thinking it was hentai...
Really was just lying down with my tentacle in my hand thinking to myself
"man, why tf is this hentai so interesting"
Only to get to the rooftop scene, pull up my Grinch black and green pj's, and begun hysterically holding my laughter hoping that my parents wouldn't be able to hear me at 3 am.
Later, showed the anime to a friend and turned it into a staple reference point within our conversations
...
Literally re-enacted the shower scene with da bois which later cut to us chasing after our other friend like AOT titans.
good times
well anyways, GO WATCH THIS ANIME
Also
My fellow dub enjoyers, I love dub, but prison school's dub is a crime against humanity, I truly feel like they butchered it too much, as well as how the Japanese-English pronunciation just hits differently.
If you are a fellow dub enjoyed, I highly advise you watch in sub

funny af
and the plot isn't two-dimensional either
that's it... go watch it...
Edit: Ok so apparently just writing all of this wasn't enough so amma just add some more meat to the bones by answering these MAL questions
Is the story unique?
Yes
...
If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up?
It really wasn't predictable at all, as doing so would have ruined the humor aspects that pop-up as the story continues.
Do you think the art style is fitting for the story?
Yes
Were the characters well-rounded? Did they have flaws and strengths, or were they unusually strong/smart/stupid?
Yes
Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way?
Totally
Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't? Why?
I think most will properly appreciate this anime humor, while those who won't just lack a sense of humor. Jk, it is sort of immature honestly, but idgaf, its the funniest anime / funniest piece of media I have ever read + watched.

Honestly, one of the most disappointing anime of its time.
The absolute hype train that was this anime's trailer and YouTuber reactions, especially Garnt's, which surfaced around the time when I first found out about the anime. And yet, after watching episode 1, you will either feel how stale these mushrooms are, or you will be high enough to keep on watching.
Garnt's First Reaction
(this is a YouTube video of a YouTuber reacting to a trailer of the anime)
Again, I am one of those people who truly believe that there is no bad anime, as every anime has its own very few people who truly
...
believe their socially rejected anime is a 10/10, which is simply beautiful.
I just feel like my personal disappointment is leading to me being as harsh as I am. I do feel like it at least deserves a 3/10.
That said, everybody else can rate it that, but not me...

When this anime had first come out and the episodes were slowing rolling out, it felt super hype and interesting to finally get an anime revolving around a spy. That said, starting during part 1, the anime began moving towards balancing between Loid and Anya, with with funny sprinkles of Yor all throughout the story, but focus wise, it was still on Anya and Loid.
In this part / season, the anime ends up going all out on Anya, basically setting aside Loid and Yor, and making them feel more like side characters, than primary ones.
I had picked up this anime with hopes of
...
intense spy themed anime scenes, mixed in with cozy family moments where all 3 share family bonding moments, only for the anime to double down on Anya using her cuteness to carry the show.
While I am not the best person to judge how cute something or somebody is, I simply felt like this part doubled down too much on Anya, hence not letting the other two develop properly enough and see more primary focus.
I do like this show, but I do feel like balance wise, it were a step back from the first part.
