Story 7/10
This anime has SO much potential, but the major hindrance for that potential to reach its maximum, is how the story unfolds. For the first half of the anime, you feel so lost. I even considered dropping it a few times. However, I persevered because this anime is very recommended and I wanted to at least be able to understand or deny what people were raving about. the cast join this place? what were their final wishes? why even bother creating such a big group of friends if you are mainly going to focus on 4 characters? why wasn't Otonashi able to go like the rest? how come Kanade was there first if it seems that Otonashi died first? who was that guy in the library basement with all the computers explaining about love getting in this place? if Kanade was a human being, why did she have software features? so many unanswered questions. I read that this anime was supposed to be 26 episodes and during production was suddenly cut to half. If that's the case, it shows and it ended up hurting the anime. I really liked that this anime makes you think and wonder, conversation worthy. However, I wished than rather to have to look up theories, the anime had been clearer since the beginning. Also, isn't this one of saddest endings of all times? yes, per the after credit you can assume Kanade and Otonashi end up finding each other, but what about Hinata and Yui? Does Noda ever get a chance to profess his love to Yuri? Again, so much potential that the anime could have actually been a couple of seasons, not just one. Such beautiful premises of being allowed a last chance to leave all regrets behind.
It does have some moments that squeeze you heart such as Iwasawa and Yui passing and Otonashi's background.

This anime has beautiful drawings and color combinations, specially the eyes. This is highly enjoyable.
Sound 9/10
I don't really care much about the endings themes, however, that opening is another story. I really liked it. And, am I the only one who gets goosebumps over "my song" from Iwasawa? This song easily redeems the anime a bit.
Characters 6/10
To be fair, all characters are likable and interesting, however, we only got to see a glimpse of the main character's background and actual interests and wishes. Relationships feel so rushed that you can't be a 100% invested in anything or anyone.
Enjoyment 6/10
If you are able to get passed the 3-4th episodes, you will be in for an emotional ride.

Story 9/10
Ok. So, I think this actually is the first sport anime I watch ever. And to be honest, the only reason I started watching was because my husband was watching next to me and I got so caught up in the dialogues and situations that I kept asking him questions to understand. It got to a point that I was "ok, I gotta watch since the beginning now". The point is, this is such a well made anime that it can literally get anyone's attention and hook you unexpectedly. you know what's going to happen but then something that you were not expecting at all actually happen (ex. I was NOT expecting for Isagi to be the chosen one in the top 5). Intense dialogues, intriguing characters and life story, lots of character development. My only doubt is hoe much can be done when most of the time, characters are just in a match. I fear it might become uninteresting after a while, but that seems nowhere near to happening so far.

This anime has great drawings. I really like that physically, I feel the characters' design really match their personalities.

I am in love with the first opening and the second ending, actually downloaded them into my playlist. Of course, I have no idea of what they are saying but still, they sound great.

I really liked how the characters developed in this anime. Every single one of them is there to either grow or go. Isagi is the main character, obviously. But the others are equally explored and experience just the same things he does such as victory, failure, self-doubt. I feel every character is pretty unique and feel for them when the fail to move forward (still getting over Kunigami not passing to the next phase).

Again, I am not an sport anime fan yet there I was craving for the next episode.

Story 7/10
I think the story is well made. It has interesting premises and a well balanced mix of drama, trauma, friendship and youth. I really liked how different perspectives on how people go through bereavement are shown with the different characters' reactions to the situation. I also liked the journey each character took to be able to come full circle and come to terms with Menma passing away and how that affected them. However, there are a couple of things I wished wereaddressed more in the anime as opposed to left hanging. For example, Yukiatsu cross-dressing as Menma. Why was he doing

this particular thing? What was he trying to accomplish? How long had Tsuruko known about it and why didn't she try to understand more about it? I feel this situation was kind of brushed off and normalized too quickly when we all knew there was a lot of meaning behind it. Similarly, Poppo even saw Menma drowning in the river...wouldn't you think he would be the most affected one by this? Yet, this is only briefly mentioned by the end of the anime when he seems to be the one doing "better". Why did Menma spirit show up at the moment she did? What was Jintan's response to Anaru feelings? She pretty much confesses a few times but never gets a reply back from him. Likewise, what about Tsuruko and Yukiatsu? and honestly, I don't think these love triangles were necessary at all. I would have definitely rated this section better if all of these questions had had a clearer answer. I might as well just read the original material to hopefully discover these myself.
Art/Soundtrack 7/10
I can't remember anything too memorable about this but it was enjoyable.
Characters 7/10
I think all characters were likeable, with Yukiatsu being the one I like the least. I feel his "cool guy" act was a bit forced and he was too self-absorbed to worry about his friends. Even him offering to date Anaru felt he was still looking to compete with Jintan instead of trying to move on. I also didn't like how manipulative he was by plotting to have Anaru ask Jintan about his feelings for Menma. Had he not done that, Menma might as well be alive still, but we would not have this anime, would we?
Enjoyment 8/10
This is an enjoyable anime. It does hit your heart a couple of times, specially that one last episode. So if you are a cry baby like me, expect some tears.

Story 7/10
The story is refreshing to say the least. It has some of the common aspects of a rom-com (such as a flashy character vs a shy and socially awkward one), however, it comes with many twists. I really like how the main characters are connected through having really uncommon or unique tastes and hobbies, and how they get closer to each other based on acceptance and understanding, no judgement at all. I also find refreshing the amount of sexual remarks and thoughts, not necessarily because of the sex content itself, but because manga/anime shoujo Japanese teenagers are usually portrayed as shy
...
and pure. In this case, I find it realistic, even age appropriate, and funny. I also really loved how social and culture roles are somewhat inverted between main characters, with Gojou (a heterosexual man) being able to cook, sew, do hair and makeup and Marin (the girly girl) basically just going with it and supporting financially.
I wished we had had some more concrete advances in the story, for ex. its pretty clear Marin likes Gojou and viceversa, what's stopping them from doing something about it? Specially Marin, as she is so outspoken.

I think drawings are pretty well made and detailed oriented, to a point that it is one of the most absorbing parts of the anime.

I think characters in this manga are pretty likeable, except for maybe Shinju? She lacks a bit on confidence (for no apparent reason) but at least that isn't dragged for too long or made into a big deal. My favorite characters is Marin because she is authentic, upfront, not afraid to be who/how she wants to be, not shy at all, and on the contrary, I really enjoyed her remarks to constantly make Gojou feel embarrassed or shy. I think this is the first time I have seen a female characters be this extroverted. I really like her positive influence in Gojou. Gojou is very likable as well, he is socially awkward but at least he is quick to follow social queues.
Enjoyment 7/10
I honestly just watched this because my husband wanted to see it, however, I found myself laughing out loud many times and ready for the next episode each time. Nice light and entertaining anime.

Story 9/10
When I first read the synopsis of this manga, I was a bit skeptical that I would even like it. I gave it a try and I am SO happy I did!.
What I like the most about this manga is how, of course, it has many elements of your regular shoujo (high school characters, romance, drama, high school events such as school fair, X-mas dates, etc), however, these are approached in a more mature perspective than your regular shoujo. Drama is resolved quickly, in an adequate manner. Feelings and tension are rapidly addressed, and people are usually honest about

their emotions and thoughts. This might be since 4 of the main characters were adults disguised as adolescents, hence being able to quickly pick up on behavioral changes from others and the possible meaning behind them. The comedy in this manga is also very strong and enjoyable. There were many times I laughed out loud while reading, especially given characters reactions and facial expressions. I also loved how the romance between main characters was just on point; it wasn’t too fast to make it not credible nor such a slow burn where you want to yell at them "just get on with it already!". Romance was threaded in a way that you can actually relate and feel for the characters and keep up interested all the way through.
This manga definitely hits right in the feelings, specially towards the end when you can see how much the main characters have come to appreciate the rest of the group and their lives. I found really interesting how we all knew what was going to happen by the end, but even you as a reader find yourself dreading the moment when the ReLife program is over, and they all forget about each other. I couldn’t put this manga down for the last 10 chapters. I was glad to see the author found a way to bring the characters together again. A bit predictable? yes! welcomed nonetheless? of course! There is also a lot of character development, which is also a great thing to have after reading 200+ chapters.
Another big big big point for this manga: NO LOVE TRIANGLES!! Say whaaat? read that again: a Shoujo manga WITHOUT love triangles! The only 2 thing I could complain about are: 1. Tamarai's love interest was left to our imagination. I would have liked it better for it to be addressed as well as opposed to be left to your own interpretation. My guess is Inukai is in love with Tamarai, Tamarai is in love with Nobu but Nobu is in love with Sumire. I can also infer none of them ever confessed, but I wish the author hadn't made it a secret when Tamari shared it with Hishiro. 2. The only arc I found a bit boring was Ohga not telling Kariu about his brother. I mean, for such an honest, upfront kid, it sure took him too long to talk about it. The drama felt a bit dragged here.

Absolutely beautiful drawings. I loved the facial expressions of the characters, and the design of each character easily conveyed their personalities. The only thing that bothered me a bit was faces being slip into different pages.

It is not common to have a manga where you like ALL the characters and find yourself genuinely interested into each and every one of them. Kudos to the author for this great writing, because even though we, of course, have our main characters, none of the others feel like “just supporting characters” or unnecessary. I will talk a bit about my favorite characters:
Kaizaki: I absolutely love Kaizaki, the guy is a hero! He was put in an impossible situation but was always able to stay afloat. So not only was he a “neet” due to his pure heart, but society kept beating him down for it. Yet, he was a very caring, nurturing, and noble person until the end. It would have been so easy for him to just not care about anyone, like nobody really cared much about him (until he found this group). I also have to praise his self-control! He was able to be honest about his feelings while still also keeping his values, despite Hishiro begging for him to do stuff. I do feel that Kaizaki was a bit abused, because he was always involved in helping the others and also because Ryo, An and Hishiro kept testing him when he wasn’t even fully aware of everything going on.
Ryo: At the beginning, I really though I was going to hate this guy. However, Ryo quickly grew on me and you could see his intentions were in the right place. I found him too funny, even though also a bit creepy at times (him and An truly are the dream-team!)
Worthy mention:
Ohga: I also found funny how he could be so dense but also be very upfront out of the blue.

I would absolutely recommend this manga to everyone (I have actually send it to my close friends already). It has a great balance between comedy, drama and romance. It also manages to deal with deep topics in an assertive way. A great all around manga.

Story 6/10
I have no idea why this manga is so short, specially given the fact that the plot does have the potential to go for longer and remain interesting. I liked the premises, and, unlike popular opinion, I have nothing against the age gap or a 23 year old dating a high school girl. Of course, let me clarify, he wasn't really doing with her something that she wouldn't do with someone her age. And she was 16, not 12. If we keep it real, many 16 years old get pregnant from another teen with zero life experience. At least at 23,

if that were to happen, which seems unlikely given the fact that Japanese seem to take things slowly, you would expect certain degree of maturity in the guy. So, again, not really bothered by the age gap. Anyway. I was really bother by the unnecessary love triangles and guys just randomly kissing this girl. I also didn't like the fact that everything was happening too quickly, with a lack of depth that makes difficult to empathize with characters' feelings.

This is by far my favorite part of this manga. Beautiful and clean drawings. I also feel the drawings did a good job at conveying characters emotions.
Characters 7/10
I think characters in this manga are pretty likeable. Both main characters are powerful, truth to themselves, easy going. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the main characters and wished we had seen more of it. I like the fact that Saya speaks clearly what's on her mind instead of going around in circles.
Enjoyment 6/10
If you get bored, and want a quick read, this manga will do. However, don't expect a lot of character development. Don't expect to be wrapped in the story as everything happens to quickly.

When I started watching Horimiya I was really hyped about it. It was refreshing to see how forward and upfront main characters were about their thoughts and feelings, as opposed to the usual shyness we see in regular Shoujo. I also thought humor in this anime was hillarious, not forced, or awkward, but making me actually laugh out loud a few times. I also liked how issues got resolved easily as opposed to dragging out silly arguments, again, like the usual Shoujo. However, by the end of it, the story felt all over the place, not following any line, path or clear

direction/goal. A lot of characters were just introduced and their arcs just brushed off as quick. By the last episode I was wondering whether this anime was about Hori' and Miyamura's relationship or not and why were so many irrelevant people introduced. I also wondered what would happen with Yuki and Toru as to me it was left hanging. Another unclear thing was Hori's and her family's relationship with her dad: where was him at the beginning? is he an actual loved family member or is he allowed in the house out of "respect"?
In general, I feel Horimiya had many things happening in such little time. Don't get me wrong, I like Hori and Miyamura together and I can totally relate to falling in love quickly given the amount of time they were spending together being their true self and just doing ordinary things. Yet, I feel it happened to quick to be believable or for you to get invested into them as a couple. You basically don't see many intimate or heartwarming moment between them to get that sense of satisfaction when they get together.

To me, one of the strongest and weakest point on this anime. I absolutely love Hori as main character: she is kind, funny, weird (how can we not mention her kinkiness and excitement at getting hit/yelled at by Miyamura?), not a crybaby, clear and forward with her emotions. She is a strong, memorable character for me. I also found Miyamura interesting as he was a bit clumsy and almost a bit naïve. Interesting enough, he is more like the usual female lead we see in Shoujo so that was a nice twist for me. The only thing I did not like was how his style went from "being a punk" to just a regular guy in a matter of 1-2 episodes...I mean, he even cut his cool hair and looked pretty much like any other character.
Other than them, there are a lot more characters, but no one really too interesting and that's where I say characters is also one of the weakest point for this anime. I actually want to start reading the manga so I can attest whether the lack of screen time and short amount of episodes is what contributes to nobody else standing out for the audience.
Enjoyment 8/10
It was a really funny anime, a type of humor we can relate and not just limited to Japanese culture. As far as entertaining goes, I will recommend it. If you are looking for character development that feels authentic and not rushed, feelings and to be moved, this is not it.

Story 8/10
Very good story, that you must not compare to either the first season or the movie, because it is not as emotional. I did like the introduction of new characters, their background and how they were relevant to the story. I also liked how even the sibling demons had a back story that you could relate to. This season, like previous one and movie, has a very good balance between humor, drama and action. I must say I felt a bit at loss with the final episode. with the last episode I was left like "wait, that's it?". I am not sure what else I was expecting, but I felt there was something missing.
What I absolutely like about this anime, apart from its awesome animation, is how story telling is so intriguing that there are several moments that you can almost feel the same adrenaline that the characters must be feeling, you can feel their pain and despair, you can feel joy when they accomplish things. The main trio as girls was hilarious, specially Zenitsu.

I liked the opening very much, the ending not at all. But to be honest, I believe nothing will ever be able to surpass the opening from the first season, but luckily form them, this anime has so many strengths that it doesn't really need much else.

Not getting much into the main trio as they keep much of their personality the same as before. I am really excited though to continue watching Netzuko and what other things she's got hiding in that pandora box of a character that she is.
Now into Uzui. He was a funny, strong guy. I liked how protective of his people he was and how committed he remained until the end, to the point of very personal loses. Yet, from all the characters we have seen so far, his story is the least compelling to me. Don't get me wrong, I was glad for his introduction and what he accomplished on the anime, yet he can't compare to let's say Rengoku or Tanjiro. I am not sure I was on board with him and his 3 wives, but I hope we get to see more of him even though he said he would retire.

There is not such thing as wasting your time by watching this. Demon Slayer keeps delivering good content.

Story 10/10
This movie starts pretty light, humorous even, but by the end of it, even a macho man is hit on his feelings. The movie, just like the anime, has great fighting sequences and such a good story telling that you find yourself immersed in it. Well used comedy relief and strong dialogues that remain true to the characters. The only negative comment I have about it is I feel Zenitsu was given a more secondary role (compared to Tanjiro and Inosuke). For example, why wasn't he able to aid when Tanjiro, Inosuke and Rengoku were fighting Akaza? Sure, he was

busy keeping people safe with Nezuko, but I find it hard to believe he couldn't have been more useful even at the last second.

I absolute love the animation-there is so much detail made into every character. I feel everyone is well represented. Amazing, mesmerizing color pallets.

2 seconds after seeing Rengoku on the train I couldn't help feeling we were about to get a character as annoying as Zenitsu. I was quick to slump him among the unimportant characters...man, was I wrong! His story and characters were so well made that in the matter of an hour you go from feeling you will get tired of him to mourning his death almost as much as you mourn Tanjiro's family, if not more. I felt Tanjiro's and Inosuke's despair as Rengoku passed away. Rengoku turns out to be a great leader, with a kind heart and inalienable sense of honor and duty.
The rest of the characters are aligned with what you see of them in the anime.
Enjoyment 10/10
I would completely recommend this movie. I actually feel it seems like another season that you must watch between 1 and 2.

I was able to get through this anime just because mamma raised no quitter, but trust me, I felt tempted to stop watching many many times. I have no idea what happened to the budget this time around that the animation was so poorly made. The same images were used time and time again and sound quality was awful.
