Oh lord. I don't think I can make it to season 2. I've already DNF'd this anime once, not because of the weird implications of when Rudeus met Sylphie or of when he met Eris but because I got annoyed that everything just ended in the mana disaster.
I get now why they don't recommend this to anime beginners, and maybe I should've waited a few more seasons before I watched this, but the positive reviews convinced me. I love this anime. The art and facial expressions are amazing. You can expect the feels to hit during the emotional scenes.

This anime is literally a dream come true for my childhood self. I've been searching for a spy anime, and this just happened to be perfect.
The ART. I love it. I'd see all those game openings with this cute art style and wish for an anime with it. There is a pretty obvious use of CGI and 2D blend in one scene that I don't think looks right, but all the 2D animations are beautiful. The characters. Surprisingly, this spin-off is my favorite of the Konosuba series. I suspect this is because of the absence of our regular MC. There's a good deal less pervy jokes, but whether this is a letdown or not depends on the person.
This spin-off is all about Megumin, our Crimson Demon explosion magic expert. I love Yunyun and Megumin's banter and relationship in this. I would even say the romantic tension between them is more than any other characters. (Kidding!) Some say that this is a watered down version of Konosuba, which is true because the main party isn't there, and the only ones important in the cast ...

Nichijou has no plot and it needs no plot. It's not meant to be taken seriously. It's meant to be a comedy you watch when you're bored as hell and want something funny. Don't go into it searching for a plot and an exciting story. It has unrealistic stories and simple characters and it's only good for relaxed enjoyment.
This anime is not in any way realistic, but it's relatable in the way that the characters depict the characteristics of people you might know. Such as the teacher who's extremely shy and tries to put up a brave face and that one classmate who won't admit ... |
