A deceiving end to a promising series
Mashle is a magic-action series that drives off its humor from impossible exaggerated situations and breaking the fourth wall and by trying to be funny (whether it is poorly executed or not), it can ruin good moments. So, unfortunately, the story can't, most of the time, compromise. It wants to be fast-paced, but in doing so, wastes a lot of character's arcs, even forgets characters or goes over a lot of the lore and worldbuilding. It has amazing artwork, but the writing does not do justice to that well-drawn panel.
Going in more details, the first half of the
...
story is actually really good: the characters are enjoyable, the action is fun to watch and it's well-paced. But from around chapter 100, it goes at the speed of light to the end of the story while somehow streching out fights. Every character is protected by plot armor, so none of them die and Mash's interaction with God(?) and his final comeback is meant to be funny and playful, but actually ruins the final arc and highlights some of the series's aforementioned problems.
To give the story some credit, first off, Finn and Rayne's plotline and battle against Delisaster are two of the series's highlights. Secondly, Ryoh Grantz is a great character and one of the best in the story, his narcissitic and flamboyant attitude works well here. Lastly, chapter 147 is a 10/10 and shows that Orter's character arc is, in my opinion, the best in the manga.
Finally, while the series is not amazing, it's a good debut for Hajime Komoto and I hope they come back stronger than before.

The first chapter of part 2 just came out!
It's back to the classics with its craziness and goriness and it feels like it never left. Seems like the second part will take place in highschool with Denji still as the main character and maybe Mitaka as the new antagonist. What I liked most is how Fujimoto-sensei is good at humanizing characters and giving them personnalities and it showed in this chapter.
There's not too much else to go on about this chapter right now, but what I can say about part 2 is that the hype is through the roof and its future looks EGGciting!

Before I read the first volume, I was excited to check it out, a Marvel x Jump manga with All might as a cameo? That sounds good.. but unfortunately, when I finished it, I was left feeling underwhelmed.
So one of Deadpool: Samurai's characteristics is obviously its comedy. Breaking the fourth wall, meta and unconventional jokes, deconstructing tropes, etc. But that's it. There's no other thing going for it: no interesting story or characters and anti-climatic action sequences. I get that it's making fun of tropes and that the story is pratically non-existant, because it's a comedy, but when your shtick is making fun of

something and doing cameos althroughout the story, 1. the story falls flat without any balance and becomes one-dimensional and 2. it becomes its own trope, so in other words: making fun of tropes becomes the trope of the story and when it repeats it all the time. it becomes boring and predictable. So basically, it's on the same level as a generic fantasy/isekai story except that Deadpool is self-aware of tropes, but isn't aware of its self-awareness if that makes any sense. Also, I'm pretty sure Thanos, the Avengers and All Might were just thrown in there just to say that they were in the story.
To finish it off, don't take this review too seriously, Deadpool Samurai is meant to be stupid and funny, it's just that I don't think it's that good of a story.
So that's why I think Deadpool Samurai is a You're not going to die if you don't read it/10

What a fun ride it was!
After reading the last chapter of Vigilantes, I can say that it can be proud to stand along its older brother. The characters are fun and charming and it takes its time to flesh out its main cast and also pre-existing characters, for example Aizawa. Its final arc, the Naruhata war, is a solid 9 out of 10, it showed how great of a main character Koichi is and its best fight choreography in the series. I'll mention that one thing that this series does best than MHA is its consistency. Also, the last page of the last chapter

maybe confirmed that Koichi will be in the main story, which is very exciting.
Finally, if you want a great action series or if you're a fan of MHA and you haven't read it yet, go read it, it's a lot of fun.

This looks really promising. It's a new twist on the magical girls genre, being adapted for our modern world by mixing the story with the cruel side of corporatism and how that affects the magical girls industry. The art looks amazing, the characters and side characters look fun and engaging and the story isn't anything to write home about, but it's in its early stage, so only time will tell. Well... I'm excited for this series
The premise looks more than it is on the surface, a kid who wants to follow his biggest passion for martial arts, but it seems that we'll be getting a lot of different styles of martial arts and some history on those martial arts. So, being a stranger to japanese culture and martial culture, this manga could bridge to this culture and knowledge.
For the two main characters, the mc looks generic and kinda bland and so the girl, but of course, this is just the first chapter, so I'm still optimistic.

a mix between 90s and modern art styles and the fight scenes look so fluid and smooth. They're also easy to follow.
For now, this manga looks alright, but I'm eager to see what direction this series is going to go and more martial art culture. Also, in the same vain as Blue period, if you have a passion or a hobby, you'll probably relate to the protagonist with his ups and downs, failures and successes as he becomes the best martial artist he can be. Finally, if it has some intentions to go in a similar path as God of Highschool, I will be happy.

So there has been a lot of reviews about My hero academia, but there's not a lot of reviews specifically about the recent chapters (296- ongoing), so here it is.
I think everyone who's keeping up with the manga can agree that the story started to get better and better starting with the my vilain academia arc. From there, we've seen Horikoshi-sensei get better at characterization, paneling, fight choreography, artwork, worldbuilding and overall creating a rich story with layers. The my vilain academia arc was phenomenal, focusing on the vilains and developping them into well-written characters, I'd say Shigaraki, Toga and Twice being in the

top 10 best characters of My hero academia. After, we got the Endeavor agency arc. For me, it was okay. We got to see the main trio develop more into pro heroes and more of the Todoroki family, but nothing else. The war arc was the biggest arc in the series, so I'm not gonna dwell on it, but it changed IMMENSLY the story and the overall atmosphere of the series. So, the review is about the aftermath of the war and the arc we are currently into at the moment: the vilain hunt arc.
Firstly, the aftermath of the war (chapter 296-306) is great, it shows properly the fall of hero society, the mistrust in heroes caused by Dabi in the climax of the war and how both affect society in general. We see hate, doubt and rage against heroes, cities in ruins, heroes retiring and an increase in crime caused by vilains and civilians. So the heroes who are left are the ones who don’t give up, the real heroes, like Mount Lady, Eraserhead, Mirko, Kamui Woods, Hawks, Endeavor and of course, Deku. This part of the story is split into two parts: the Todoroki family and Deku and the users of One for all. It sets up also tne inner conflict between Shigaraki and All for one. The chapters about the todoroki family are really good, but also shocking and disturbing, showing what a broken family the Todoroki really were with Toya and Endeavor at the center of the problem. The chapters about Deku and the users of One of all properly set up the future of the series with the reveal that Deku might be the last user of One for All, showed lore of the quirk One for all and showing Deku’s resolve, that he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to kill Shigaraki, but he still wants to save him. Then, finishing the arc with the amazing 2-page panel of Deku looking at the city saying he left UA high school. Those 11 chapters did a great job of setting the future of the series.
Secondly, the vilain hunt arc is amazing, it’s a great payoff to everything this series has built up from the last 6 years. We revisit some characters that we hadn’t seen in a long time like Muscular, Overhaul and Stain. One of the highlights is the introduction of a new character: Lady Nagant, with only 6 chapters of screentime, she has become one of the most interesting characters in the series, showing the real problems of hero society, more precisely, the public hero safety commission. It did a excellent job of worldbuilding. Next is the main reason why I wanted to do a review: Deku’s character development and progression. Deku has always been my favorite character from the start of the series and now we get to see his natural progression of his character, he always wanted to help people since he’s a kid, but now what happens when you put all the world’s negativity and pressure on an already stressed out, anxious, but helpful teenager? His mental state deteriorates drastically and he develops a severe case of quixotism; where he intends to stop All for one and Shigaraki without taking account his mental state and his body. And I think his new hero costume represents his wellbeing, as the story continues, his costume becomes more torn up and dirty to the point he looks like a horrifying vilain, it’s a really good metaphor. Btw, I've always loved Horikoshi's hero costume's designs, especially Deku's, that's one of his major strengths as an artist, but recently, he's been going all out with Deku's design and I absolutely love it, one of my favorite hero's design ever. Returning to what I've said before, I mean, in the latest chapter, Deku abandons All might and Endeavor to do everything himself, uses blackwhip to walk, because he’s so tired and even then he falls, has no energy and still intends to fight All for one and Shigaraki. Finally, we see Bakugo telling people on his phone that he found Deku. So in the next chapters, it would be really awesome to see Deku vs Bakugo 3 or even Deku vs Class 1A. Either way, Deku needs to stop. On another topic, I’m not mad that Deku didn’t have consequences for going all out in the war, because Horikoshi-sensei did give a good reason (he went from using 5% of his power to using 45%, so his body is stronger now) and anyway, we needed Deku in a good form to progress the story, but next time, I want consequences. Also, I just want to mention that Horikoshi-sensei took a child abuser (Endeavor), a heartless bully (Bakugo) and a man child (Shigaraki) and made them into some of the best characters in Shonen Jump. So for that, I congratulate him.
Finally, My hero academia is an incredible series and I can’t wait for what happens next.

It's okay...
The stockholm syndrome was interesting at the beginning, but it didn't build on it. With every criminal/arc, there wasn't any character development for the protagonists, so that was a little bit disappointing. The rest is average. I'd say read this to understand how to not do a story. It's a quick read, so you'll probably won't waste your time. What was good is the puzzle at the end of the story with the japanese alphabet as the answer, that was pretty clever from the author and props to the translators for translating all that. Hopefully, the author rebounds with something better.

I see a lot of potential with this one...
First off, apparently, the author worked as an assistant for Kohei Horikoshi's My hero academia and we can tell. Its art is expressive and gorgeous. The first chapter has similar plot points from My hero academia, but that's a given, because a lot of stories have the same plot, so it's not ripping it off. What I like from first glance is its setting, a twisted take on the classic tale of " The little red riding hood" where not only werewolves exist, but witches, vampires, dragons and other monsters also exist in this world. the monster in this chapter looks alright, but nothing more. I've seen better monster designs, but this is only the first chapter, so I'm looking forward to the other monsters. Overall, it looks really good, but what it needs to do is to search for its identity, because for now, the plot is kinda generic. But I'm not worried for a second, because for My hero academia, it has a generic plot, but its execution is its strongest pro. Also, this is just the first chapter, so only time will tell. So basically, if you like My hero academia, you'll probably like this too.
P.S.: Grimm's adult form's design is 10/10

This looks really good...
So first off, I really like the concept of a mix between romance and sports series and it feels fresh (although there are probably other series with the same concept). It looks like it's going to be more focused on the romance side. I don't mind because after We Never Learn was finished, I was waiting for a romance series from Shonen Jump, but it would be nice to be focused on sports also (60% romance and 40% sports) because after reading Haikyuu!!, I was craving a new sports manga.

look funny and interesting and for the main characters, the girl is really cute and has a great personnality and the guy looks and acts like a lot of male shonen protagonists in a romance series, but somehow, I really like him. Maybe it's because I am also a badminton player, so I can relate to why he likes badminton and it's funny when he's flustered.
Also there was a one-shot of this and before the guy played volleyball, so maybe the author changed to the guy playing badminton because badminton is a one player sport, so there could be a clash of ideals between playing alone and playing with a team and by the end, the main characters could understand why the other likes to play alone and with a team.
The art kind of looks like a shoujo manga and it looks really good. There were few panels where they were playing sports, but it looks like the panels and the spreads where they'll be playing sports continuously in the future will be top-notch.
The only thing I'm kind of worried is how the author is going advance the plot forward. Having read the one-shot, even though I wanted more, I thought there was no need to have more than a few other chapters, but still, I'm optimistic.
Other than that, it looks really wholesome and cute and I'm really excited for the future of this series. If it goes the way I think it will, it could easily be one of my favourites series.
