This is definitely the best Hentai I've watched, and the combination of a romantic drama with full-on sexual scenes makes it one of the most interesting animes I've watched.
It's a romantic erotic drama and the leads are two high schoolers in love. It's all about their mutual love and attraction, you don't get to experience fear, depression or unease as the usual case with Hentai.
The show has a more-than-usual focus on drama, even the sex scenes exists with character or story development intentions.
Another thing special I found here was how much the show supported monogamous relationships and there's almost no sexual relations other than between

the two leads.
To me, it felt like the much desired "Hentai for girls", in the sense that the girl has a big role in the story and the situations are mostly there for her pleasure.
I would also say that the art, characters and jokes reminded me of shoujo shows more than shounen - mainly Fushigi Yuugi and Puchi Puri Yuushi.

I actually found this OVA pretty decent considering the widespread hate it got. I'd say it delivers what it promises, and I'd really love to see more of this story animated.
The premise is about the journey of the young king Ashura, who fell from his throne, and his six guardians lead by warrior Yasha, who try to help him reclaim it. The OVA focuses the journey of the king and his guardians through deserts, castles and icy landscapes in search of the 6th and last guardian, while briefly encountering the main villain, Taishakuten.
Although having a pretty generic fantasy-adventure setting I found the cast to be

what set it apart from other titles of the genre. Being from the shoujo genre, the guardians consist of beautiful and delicate yet kick-assing guys and three girls who aren't hyper-sexualized for a change. Being only 2 episodes short it's hard to say the supporting characters have depth but their basic archetypes are unique enough and I would love to see similar representations more often in anime.
The two characters that gets most of the screen time are the main couple, Ashura and Yasha, which are simply adorable. In the manga, which I plan to read following this OVA, Ashura is born genderless and thus being referred to mostly as male, I also saw him as male yet the DVD English translation insisted on referring to him as a girl, which is annoying since his being male is one of the things that make his character, and his subtly-romantic relationship with Yasha so interesting.
Yasha is being very protective of Ashura and they both seem madly in need of each other which is very sweet to see.
Other than that, the art is gorgeous. The animation, detail and movement, can't be compared with today's standards but the shoujo-ish art is something that is sadly very rare in modern anime and it gives a great feeling to return to it. The character and world design is also very pretty.
In conclusion I recommend this OVA for any lover of romantic adventures, I was surprised at how much I found it enjoyable.

This show started out like one of the most amazing shoujo anime I've seen and slowly became an unbearable waste of time.
The show starts out with lots of mystery, intriguing characters, excellent pace and buildup, it catches you completely off guard with its dark and melancholic themes as you expect a sugary positive magical girl cliche. The characters are amazing and deliver lots of genuine emotions and easy to relate drama.
Around the middle mark the show starts filling out with fillers, episodes that go practically nowhere, no clear antagonist and a complete ignore of vital questions and puzzles the story set up. The last episodes

come up with a quick last-minute drama that really just comes off as a flat stock cliche with little heart or mind.
The animation of the show is never really good or even average. The early episodes are good enough to forgive what seems to be budget problems, but over all there's as less movement as possible and the camera angles are repetitive and automatic. The art is somewhere from little-detailed to sketchy, but the character design sure is compelling (the manga art is stunning). Also the characters change their clothes a lot which is also pleasant for the eyes.
Over the first episodes I developed incredible high expectations from the show and maybe that's why I got so disappointed from it at the end.
Still I recommend to check it if you're interested in dark, angsty and romantic shoujo.

Although animal people are a famous anime trope it's rare to see a setting where every character is part animal and humans are the minority.
Hyper Police's world is very detailed - from the visual design that always brings new ideas of monsters, characters and mechanics, to the the dialogues that explore laws, ethics and lifestyle, it almost feels like a real parallel universe.
Some episodes focus on side characters and so you get a lot of different approaches to this world. There's a variety ensemble of at least 10 recurring characters, each unique and interesting enough to receive a spin off of its own.
Almost every character

has a love interest and the main couple, Batanen and Natsuki, is one of the sweetest ones I've seen. I was on the edge of my sit for every small development between them and it was extremely fun watching their chemistry.
The show never gets repetitive or boring. The writers control the pace with a tight grip, always finding new character interactions or situations to put them in to keep the narrative fresh.
The episodic structure of the show sometimes feel forced, but if you're looking for an epic story with drama, twists and turns you're in the wrong show. Still, the show has a story continuity and there are some really unexpected character and world developments.
If you're looking for a fun entertainment with light drama you must watch this anime. Highly recommended.

I know that lately there's a Netorare fashion in Hentai, but this is the first time for me to see one.
The story resolves around a girl, her boyfriend, and a rapist.
It's somewhat sadistic towards the audience as the main character constantly suffers, but this is usual for Hentai. The unusual side is that the "main" character is not the girl, but her boyfriend.
It's extremely weird and strikes you the most odd in the first visible rape scene - we first see rape only when the guy himself witnesses it. It's not the first rape that happens, but oddly enough we always get cut out of
...
the scenes before the rape occurs - probably to maintain the guy as a main character other than the girl.
While it's usual for Hentai to deal with sufferings and depression (which is fine, i just don't understand why there are hardly any other approaches to the genre), this hentai feels like the audience should get aroused by the main guy's sufferings rather than the girl's.
The final product is a sadistic, unpleasant piece of work that holds a lot of hate for man and woman alike but could've probably be much better with one of those two options: Spoiler
Because the story focuses on Ryouta's limited view, Miyu (and obviously Darade) come off as wicked and vicious and I don't recon she has to be. I agree with her that Ryouta has been a pussy as for how he dealt with the rape and I understand her disappointment. On the other hand her choice in Derada seems a bit stupid as well as it's obvious he doesn't care half as Ryouta about her. My advice is - make Miyu the main character and explain through her view why the hell she prefers Derade - the idea that she is attracted to his manliness is believable but this must be more in depth. We have to believe she loves him and not just cock hungry, and also there's no need for him to be that cruel to everyone.
The 2nd idea for this hentai to be better is adding a third episode in which Ryouta sets out for the greatest journeys in hentai history - to get his girl back. It starts with him going around fucking lots of girls and getting techniques of his own (might try them on Leina), revenging Derada by raping him before murder, and then when Miyu can't have him she will give Ryouta another chance and see how good he became, and get cock hungry for him. Because the truth is he sure had a lot to learn from Derade. Happy end!
Eventually it was an interesting watch and i recommend it, but be ready for a harsh story.

Diabolus: Kikoku can't decide what it wants to be - porn or plot driven, and fails miserably at both, but it's still highly recommended, if only for the interesting product it could've been.
The whole story centers around three characters, an attractive "bad guy" and two girls who try to make him good. There are no other nameable characters but there are some brief sex scenes of the guy with other girls.
The show should've chosen its path - either be a plain common hentai, make the guy the protagonist and show his encounters with other girls. Or take the story path, flesh out the girls more,
...
lower the sex scene count but make each of them more substantial. I obviously prefer the latter.
As the ova is now, the sex scenes doesn't excite to their fullest, partly because they feel overly repetitive, and as there are only three main characters the dialog scenes of this anime are more intriguing then the sex ones.
The character design itself hints for something higher than hentai, mainly by the attractive main guy - a unique representation for a male lead in anime, but also for the story's heroin, which has more personality than the common objectified hentai girl.
To sum it up I think there's a real lack of female representation and female orientated hentai. This title felt like something that could've been that for the main guy's design and some of the main girl's conflicts but instead the show tries to be common hentai and that just made a fearful and forgetful creation.
Hentai disappoints once again!

Although i read it long ago, twice, i still plan on re-reading it, it's on my book shelf.
It's very emotionally reliable and takes you through the frustrations of being in the closet and in love with a straight friend.
The love interest does make some unclear decisions that seem like a plain fantasy of the protagonist but it manages to blend inside his already enigmatic nature and also the protagonist's reactions are reliable enough to view them as a little more than a plain fantasy. It's very moving.
The art is gorgeous, their face expressions are amazing, i love the thin, sharp yet soft lines the artist

used.
Very recommended.

I am just so happy to be through with that show, I really could not stand it. Generally I came to it for the amazing art style but I only found a pile of jokes that really didn't entertain me that much.
The show has some interesting atmosphere for a comedy, and it sometimes give the feeling of something more dramatic but it's not funny enough as a comedy and not nearly interesting enough as a drama.
Character and story development is almost non existent. The main character is being slightly examined throughout the show but the characters around her are so wacky there's hardly one relationship
...
that is interesting to inspect. The story is episodic and episodes are separated from one another almost as being stand alone stories, which adds to the show's undeveloped nature.
Perhaps the show wanted to examine ideas instead of a story in the common term but the episodes range from boring to bizarre. Some of the allegories I did not understand, some I found too tedious to even try and the rest I just not relate to.
I find very little reason to watch this show. Again, I praise the art and animation which are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen in anime and also some BGM tracks were catchy and likable to me, but I do not recommend this unless you are looking for a very unique and not so successful dark comedy.

First episode: 6/10 (incredible for hentai)
Second episode: 2/10 (regular for hentai)
Final score: 4/10 (disappointing but worth checking)
When I started the 1st episode I expected porn. the premise seemed slightly interesting about a guy that works in a video store, has a rape fetish and meets a girl with supposed-magical-powers that can sense if other girls want to be raped. The whole idea of girls wanting to be raped (thus not making it rape), a boy that wants to "rape" (even if it might not be rape) and a sidekick GIRL that guides him through to get his desires all made an interesting premise to me
...
but I wouldn't expect a common hentai to try and examine those ideas.
Contrary to my expectations the whole 1st episode was much more about characters, comedy and dialogue rather than sex. Even the climatic sex scene feels more about story and characters rather than just plain porn. I found Chidori, the main girl, to be interesting, stronger and smarter than the usual hentai girl and the whole question whether she really wants to be raped or not made the whole situation intriguing and on a higher level than the average hentai.
I was expecting the second episode to further explore the characters and topics the first episode set up - does Ippei really want to "rape"? Does it change anything to him knowing the girls want it as much as he does? Does the girls really want to get raped? Why?? Where does Sari got her powers from? Are they true?? How does the Chidori story arc ends? What did she do after the rape? What does she and Ippei feel for each other now??
Well none of those questions get any answers. In fact the second episode throws everything the first episode builds. Chidori does not even appear in the second episode! This is really annoying and strange since even Sakura, which was way weaker and less interesting as a character then Chidori appears in both episodes.
It feels like the writers and director of the first episode left the production completely, the second episode is as average hentai as it can get and really does not fit as a sequel to the first one. Ippei even lacks his naive stress and anxiety which made him likable and he just comes off as a bad and hateful person. I think both episodes would've benefit had they been stand alone, but I think the 1st episode really deserves a continuation which sadly we will not receive.
As a hentai that felt more like a shounen romance with funny characters and somewhat taboo and intriguing subjects this pretty much could've been revolutionary, but the second episode holds it back from being so. perhaps in the future there would come a show which would be able to be hentai without neglecting its writing and characters.

Let me start off by saying that the core of this anime feels like a shota romance.
It's not pornographic, but the main couple of the story is a bishounen and his kid brother. The main guy would do anything for this kid and he is his sole interest, you might say it's pretty romantic.
Other than those two there are way too many characters which hardly have any character to them, most of them get no development or get half a story at best and holds no real weight in the show as a whole.

brother, and a female villain who falls in love with the lead to her dismay (he only cares for the kid). The three of them form the main story of the 2 episodes, or at least what it would've been had the script been tighter.
The production value is fine, I like the shoujo-ish art and in a mecha show. Had the creators actually allow themselves to focus what seems they set out to do, which is a sentai shounen ai with huge age gap, it could've been a solid 8, but they didn't and this is what brings this otherwise unique and interesting shoujo anime to a pretty average mess of thin stereotypes and awkward comedy.
