I gave a high rating for this manga because it has this classic manga feeling about it. No blatant promiscuity, has dramatic background stories, well portrayed characters, good conversation, perfect comic timing and drawing, and the message is strong. I don't usually go for sensei-student romance but this one is different just because I think Ojiro Kazuma is a very patient and warm hearted guy who respects woman so much. Too bad there are no background story of why Kazuma was so willing to help Kaji Fumino and her brother, Teppei, besides the fact that he is her homeroom teacher.

Otomen (Manga) add
One of the hidden gems of Shoujo manga which I think it's more borderline Shounen since the main character is a guy and yet another guy and a girl whose traits similar to a guy.

This manga tells a story about a masculine, nation's top kendo athlete, Masamune Asuka, who has it all: tall, rich, cool, not a playboy, dignified BUT he actually favours feminine hobbies: collect and make dolls, embroidery, cooking, decorations, house cleaning. Black Bird (Manga) add
This is one of the manga that when I read, I know it is just a fiction. I keep reminding myself that, too. Otherwise, it will be very annoying and absurd. How come you lick a girl's neck without her consent just because she agreed to marry, when she was a toddler? Totally unacceptable! So, put aside common sense when reading it. Of course, it is hard, but chapter after chapter, we get to know this story about love and how preserve it. In this case, how to preserve your loved one. The youkai world is nasty and harsh, blood spill everywhere on a whim, ...

I know this manga is not everyone's cup of tea or slice of cake. The main female character, Tsubaki Hibino, is insecure and quiet girl who fall in love with delinquent Kyouta Tsubaki, who is also her classmate. Before you go far, let me spoil it for you: it's a happy ending.

Mind you, this manga mostly set during their high school period. This fact is what I think that readers might forget. Both characters were never in love before, they never knew what is it like to be in love.

Tsubaki does her sister, Sakura, hair every day so Sakura can look the cutest, yet ...
